I simply can't say enough good things about this dentist office. The entire staff was beyond awesome. Dr. Barberi and her assistant both took a great amount of time with me explaining what all I needed to have done in the near future. My teeth are in bad shape. I had to have a tooth pulled today and not only did I have zero pain, but I also didn't know when my tooth was pulled, meaning, I felt nothing at all. No tugging, no nothing. It just came out, and very quickly I might add! The only thing that hurt a tad was the numbing injection, but that was because I had to have one done in the roof of my mouth. But, other than that, I felt nothing at all. The entire staff is caring, helpful and very sweet! Like I said, I can't recommend them enough!!! They showed a great amount of concern over my financial situation and helped me come up with an awesome plan that I'm pretty sure I can handle. They are ALL simply amazing!!!

super shady billing. after being told we were in network, we got a bill for over $700 for routine…read morecleaning. per the insurance company- they charged us 3x for fluoride. then charged us 3x for silver fluoride. per insurance company- no one needs fluoride 6x. they also charged us for bite wings - twice in one year. Per insurance company- bite wings only need to be done once a year which is why they only cover them one time a year. then they proceeded to charge us for something our insurance doesn't cover at all. Per insurance company- it is their job to check benefits prior to any treatment. - they did not tell me they were doing anything that was not covered. I should have known something was shady when my child's filling was $280 and my filling was $50.

I went to the billing dept. and was told the same. I explained this couldn't be right, because I had not been to a dentist this year. I asked when they verified my insurance and was told earlier in the morning. I was told I would have to pay upfront ($96.00) for the cleaning. I left and contacted my insurance company. The insurance company stated I had all benefits available for the year and that's what they provided to Southern Dentistry. Not sure what is going on, but I will not be going back to them.

No explanation or no one checking in to let me know there was a delay. Made me late for another appointment I had scheduled. Today just took the cake. I received a bill for services performed on January 27th. I paid upfront & again when leaving because they had to do "more than anticipate". Then 8 months later they are trying to bill me again almost half as much again as what I've already paid them.
