Dont take your kids here. No offense at all to latinos at all i love them... but at Danzart , everyone only speaks in spanish. For people who dont speak spanish , this doesnt feel welcoming and it is not convenient. and if your kid doesnt speak spanish, all the other kids womt talk to her/him. My kid felt like an outsider cause of this. The dance teachers speak in spanish and almost all the staff speaks in spanish. and i personally feel teachers favorite the latino kids over others. At the recital , instead of waving an american flag in the jazz dance , they waved a mexican flag. WHY IS THAT ??? Also, The facility is small and cramped and the floorboards in the dance rooms tend to slide about because they are loose. The classes feel repetitive with no opportunities to express personal creativity , such as improv or across the floors. Theres not a large variety of class choices. no lyrical class ! just jazz, ballet, flamenco and hiphop. Gymnastics there is not safe because it is on hard wood floors. the recitals are quite pricey ! about $45+ to see your child perform for about a min and a half ! Plus costume and makeup charges ! The choreography is only good for the competition team. All the regular classes favorite the "good" people (99% of the time competition team members) and the "good" people are always the star of the dance and are in the front and are the only people with a solo part in the dance. if your not the best dancer , your ALWAYS hidden in the back and given no moment to shine. (i know from experience). plus on the academy's facebook and instagram pages all they post are photos that are not even theirs. also this place is more like a daycare with all the little toddlers running around. and dont be surprised if a class starts 15-20 min after the start time. For example the 7:00 class always started around 7:17ish ... I can rant on and on , but yea . NOT a good studio. read more
