The vase was not your typical glass vase. It was a rustic wood which matched perfectly for the fall inspired flowers that were used. Secondly the flowers used for fillers were not the custom used greenery. Lastly the flowers and fall motif were beautifully prepared and the flowers were fresh and not dried due to Miami's heat. In fact, I have killed orchids, succulents, hydrangeas, the list goes on...But I love that the Miami Flower Market gives those without a green thumb like me lots of opportunity to learn how to #BeTheFlorist. Each month, they have a variety of classes offered during the week and on the weekend. Last night, I attended their "Hanging Around" class which taught us how to make our own hanging terrarium with succulents. For just $15 this was a total steal - those terrariums cost $30+ at a craft fair or anywhere else and I got to learn how to make my own! Rene is the florist and instructor for the classes and he has such an awesome personality with tons of experience (I believe 26+ years). He makes the classes entertaining, and also is so helpful to make sure you have the skills needed not just to make your own terrarium/bouquet at the moment, but replicate at home! The classes are held downstairs in a super cute room which is perfect for photo opps with your arrangement. They also provide some bubbly and snacks while you channel your inner Rene, too! There are so many things to love about Miami Flower Market. You can take a class, buy your flowers, arrange a private DIY session, special order for a big event - literally the world is your oyster here! Their prices are also incredible. I've purchased hydrangeas, ranunculus and some of those tropical green leaves from here and I am always impressed with how long they last. It must be because all the flowers are kept in a huge walk-in cooler until you purchase them! Do yourself a favor and visit Miami Flower Market - you will leave so much happier than when you walked in because fresh flowers make everything better!
