We did Thanksgiving Bowling at Southland Lanes and had a great experience! The entire facility is…read moresuper clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Bar drinks were cheap and the grill had a pretty solid pizza!

This was my first and second visit to this bowling establishment. They have 40 lanes, a Pro Shop,…read morean arcade area, two pool tables, a lounge for adult beverage partaking and a fairly large snack bar. Where you bowl is different from the traditional horseshoe arrangement of seating with the scoring screen behind the ball return rack. This place has mini tables with four swing out seats and the scoring menu attached to the table. Every other lane is offset from their neighbor lanes. I found it confusing. I don't understand what all the tables are for in the bowling area unless they allow food and drinks down by the bowlers. If so, it would be the first time I've seen that. On the second visit I saw that indeed food and beverage was being utilized by the bowlers on these tables. It took me a couple of games to get used to the set up. The ball return is much closer to the foul line than what I'm used to therefore throwing off my stance but once I made the adjustment, I did much better. I bowled on a Monday and Thursday at my home lanes, then here on Friday. Bowling two days in a row really put soreness into my shoulder. After resting my shoulder and rotator cuff over the weekend, we returned today, Monday, for more games. I bowled a more consistent higher three game average today. The electronic scoring system is overdue for an upgrade in my opinion. I would like to see multiple options for scoring formats with at least one option that tells you your ball speed. We ordered a brownie bowl from the snack bar. It was okay and satisfied our sugar craving for some kind of dessert after eating lunch.

Unfortunately, we selected the…read morewrong activity package but upon speaking with the manager, Isiah, he accommodated us all and went above and beyond to help us get what we actually wanted. Thank you! We played bowling, played the arcade games, had dinner, drinks, and overall a great time. We loved it so much we decided to go again the very next day. Monday we went again but this time it was a little different; we played bowling again, laser tag, but when trying to order food the poor server was alone it seemed serving all of the people doing bowling so she only got us one drink and never came back. Thankfully she comped the drink as an apology and we are very grateful. We then tried to do their obstacle course that is up high but they decided to close early to clean it... we played a bit of pool afterwards and headed home. I'd say this place is awesome for bowling and pool but the arcade is more kid-centered. Laser tag isn't that spacious for bigger parties. Prices can be expensive. Also I wish they had the happy hour like other locations but they do not which is a bummer. Overall I'd give it an 8/10!

A completely unexpected stop for a meal on New Years' Day, this place is great and hit the spot…read more Want a tasty Wagyu Burger for dinner? They have it and it's great! Side of onion rings was perfect, and fresh too. Discovering the place is owned and run by Movie Producer Jerry Bruckheimers wife Linda, the interior drips with Americana and is worth the stop for the ambience alone. Our waitress Cassie was awesome, with southern hospitality served just right. If you're out on the bourbon trail, make sure to stop here, in the small burg of Bloomfield, you won't regret it. Great food, priced right. Some Comfort fooding for sure!

So it was very busy. But our food was awful. I had a BLT sandwich. The bread seemed to probably be toasted on a flat top griddle in what tasted like an inch of oil. I could feel it on my lips every time I took a bite. As my boyfriend said, "It's pretty bad when the fries are the best part of the meal." He had the chicken sandwich with fries. His chicken was over cooked and not even 10 minutes later he couldn't leave the bathroom. Not because of food poisoning. We aren't really sure what caused it. Maybe the oil. Idk. The staff being amazing, tentative, sweet, and fast is what saved this from being a 1 star review. We waited a little over 30 minutes for 2 very simple sandwiches because we had to be somewhere. The place is adorably decorated. There was so much to look at. The noise was pretty high level, even before the singers started.
