I purchased my fan 4 years ago and couldn't find paperwork- no problem they looked me up by phone number. Rylan called me back and walked me through troubleshooting my light issue and had part waiting for me. Very knowledgeable professional and courteous. 5 Star all around. read more

Great company. We have been very happy with the 3 fans we purchased. Customer service when I had install issues has been great and now 5 years after buying I walked into the store with a light issue, the salesman called me by name and he even replaced the led light fixture for free under warranty with an upgraded light to boot. Great service after the sale. read more

The salesman Walter at the Jax store worked with me explaining what the difference between each fan had and in the motor size. He was very patient and did not pressure me on purchasing a fan. He explained the fan warranty and professional service they provide. I intent to return and purchase a fan in the near future. The company should be proud in having a qualified employee on staff. Walters customer service skill was outstanding. He made me feel that I was a valued customer. read more

Walked in to browse. I've never been in the store before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was on my phone when I walked in - something that I do not find to be impolite unless I plan to interact directly with people. If I'm interacting directly with someone, my phone is put away. Why am I mentioning this? Well because I felt like I was chastised by the individuals in the store. I walk in and start looking around, a gentleman comes up to me and asked me if I'll be on the phone long, I said I'm not sure he huffed and walked away... I walked around the store and didn't see anything that struck my fancy, as I was on my way out I heard the same gentleman complaining to another that I'm on my phone... I came in to look at the ceiling fans you had, not to be chastised. I will take my business elsewhere, and be happy to do so. If you would like to earn someone's business, treat them like a human being - if you see someone is on the phone maybe just wave and then if I need or want help, I will ask. read more

Ryland, the store manager, helped me with a fan that I didn't even purchase from them by replacing the remote and the receiver. He really knows his stuff and taught me al lot about fans and what to look for. I will be buying more fans from them because they are truly there to help you. You may pay a little more but you can call them anytime and they will troubleshoot with you. read more

Dan's Fan City store in Jacksonville was recommended to us by our new neighbors. We visited a couple times before making final selections. Each time there were very knowledgeable people to help you with your decisions. Very patient and no pressure at all. So many fans to choose from. The staff is a great help in migrating thru all the choices. We bought 6 fans for our new home and just had them installed by an electrician they recommended. So happy with each of the fans! Extremely happy with the electrician recommendation. He was very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Fan store Electrician read more

We have bought a couple of fans from the Phillips Highway location. i have had the fans for 10 plus years and they are working great. we had one problem which was our error when we put in one of the spiral lightbulbs in abs accidentally got the fan chain caught and did not know. They were very responsive to our calls and were very ready to still stand by the warranty if we needed it. read more

I can say that I am thoroughly impressed with the service I have received from this company. In 2022 I bought a solara fan (if you don't own one you're missing out). I had an issue with my fan (keep in mind it's now been 2 years since purchase) and they still worked to resolve my issue. My fan now works perfectly. So much so I just purchased another. In this day in age it's hard to find someone that stands behind the product they sell so much so that they service it years later. read more

Couple weeks ago bought a fan & light set from them, Ryland explained very well and demonstration how it works and install, unfortunately my handy man able to put it up but couldn't make it work, of course I don't want to take it down since it super beautiful and I really love it, so I called Ryland, he's so nice and offer come to fix it in person, I have to say this shop not only sell the the products like other retails, most important is assisting their customers and provide the outstanding service, They worth for 5 stars read more

Rude pushy salesman....very strange middle aged dude working the showroom... I knew we were in for a problem when he made a blanket statement that he wouldn't sell fans to folks who live in Nocotee....we aren't Nocotee people but that's just a strange way to make a connection to your customers..made a comment to him about we already knew what we wanted.... Instead of asking us what we wanted the snarky sales guy said " Since you folks already know what you want I'll go ahead and help the next customer." So basically he was saying a big F U to us read more

Bought a house which needs 7 fans.Ryland and Walt were informative and professional. Thanks Dan's Fan City!

While Paul knew his stuff I have to seriously DING Rylan (or ryan... whatever). We bought over $2000 worth of fans and controllers from Paul. He guided us through the process and we got the right fans for the right rooms all considering the right decor. ok that part went great. EVERYTHING went downhill from there. The first problem was the installers "advanced electric" . 1. These guys had a small electrical fire in one of the wall boxes when they were installing one of the controllers. 2. When one of the fans was wobbling they told us it was the box in the ceiling that was bad (these fans have a ball and socket mount to allow them to freely wobble if they are out of balance and therefore not transmit that energy into the electrical box and have it work loose). I had to convince them they had to balance the blades. 3. They threw out the boxes (and the balancing kits that was in them) in the dumpster across the street and had to go dumpster diving to get them. Which tracked a boatload of dirt into our house (this happened twice). 4. The installer guy didn't know how to balance the fan in the main room so he was trying the same thing over and over with the same results. It wasn't until I told him "heavier fan blades need heavier weights". And back out to the dumpster his helper went to get the box with the heavier weights in it. 5. It's a wonder that they didn't electrocute each other since one guy was turning the switch on and off for the outside fan while the other guy had his fingers inside the wiring guts for that fan. 6. Then the guy that runs "advance electric" tells me I have to pay $50 more since it took longer than expected to install those fans. EXCUSE ME??? I"M PAYING FOR YOU TO TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE HOW TO DO THIS?... NO!!! ------- Meanwhile back at FAN CITY: while paul was out sick, some guy named Ryan or Ryland took over and this guy was IMPOSSIBLE to understand when he talked about technical issues with the speed controller. And he had the nerve to tell me I was being "confrontational". He never was able to explain how the speed controller (there were two models) were different. We had to call the main office of DANS FAN CITY and that guy (don't know who he was) cleared the whole misunderstanding in just 10 seconds. Go to a hardware store. Either put your fan in yourself or hire your own electrician to do it. I would not hire "Advance Electric" thou. YMMV. read more

I bought interior and exterior fans for my 2,700 sq ft home over a year ago. Not only do they work great, I love them all. If you have any questions or issues Dan's Fans are immediately available to help. This was my deciding factor on where to purchase fans from. Thanks to everyone there for outstanding customer service. read more

If you want a fan this is the place to go. Both Paul and Rayland know everything about a fan and are there to help. Our fan was 20 years old and they replaced it for free no questions asked. Go to Dan's Fan City read more

Great customer service, good selection of product, knowledgeable staff, lifetime warranty. They just replaced my fan I've had for 3 years, after a visit to my home, Ryland was thorough in determining the cause of the noise, and it improved but he chose to replace it as all of the noise was not eliminated. I will never buy another fan from a big box store! read more

I was hesitant to enter this establishment as I have had horrid experiences with the 'Dan'. I am now convinced, not all Dan's are narcissist sociopaths like the one located about 2 miles north of this fine Dan establishment. This parcel is full of pleasant and authentic employees, that exude honesty while selling quality air flowing products. I am happy to say, I have furnished my brand new house with Dans Fans! When I installed these A+ products, my house blew sweet silent cold air, unlike the cold hearted Dan that roams the halls about 2 miles north of this wonderful small business! I mean, Jeepers, these people believe in truth, honesty and transparency and I recommend these quality fans to all potential consumers!! I believe Karyn would appreciate the air flow quality here as well! Let me stop now because I'm embarrassing myself! Thank you Dans Fans for making me a believer and FFF the Dan about two miles north of you! read more

We've had Dan's Fans in our last 4 homes in 4 different cities. These fans last, are quiet, and work extremely well. the store in Jacksonville on Philips hwy has a great selection of fans, blades, and lights. I love being able to put my own fan "together" with all the options. I must say though that I've never had a Dan's fan employee or franchise owner ever tell me to leave my fan on all the time (as Ryland did when I bought my fan in the JAX store). not sure I'm going to do that, as he gave no scientific reason why this would be helpful to the fan. He did say it helps airflow and will keep the A/C from running a lot, which makes sense, but the room(s) where my fans will go are nowhere near the thermostat. regardless, does not take away from my happiness with these fans. I'm glad this store is so large and convenient to my house. Even if I had to drive a ways to get here I'd buy my fans here. the quality is so much better than anything you could ever get in a box store. read more
