Mike was able to quickly get back to me and check out the damage, perform the fix and even follow up with some further suggestions that I might need to do in the future, all while I was already moved and out of state! I would highly recommend using his services, the pricing was SO FAIR, and he didn't try to oversell things or do more than what was EXACTLY needed and requested at the time. Thank you Mike! I definitely will be using his services again for any future projects or fixes.

We recently had our master bathroom remodeled. We did this, in part, because there was a shower…read moreleak. We obtained multiple bids, and settled on working with Mike, the owner of Meraki Home Renovations. His bid was competitive and fair. We took the bathroom down to the studs and subfloor, with the exception that we retained the wood vanity and cabinets that were in good shape. Mike did the majority of the work, including all of the repairs and mitigation for the shower leak, all of the new waterproofing, placement of the freestanding tub, building a new pony wall and a few shelves; and he did all of the tile work. He was in our home most weekdays during the project, and he worked exceptionally hard (and was easy to have around). He communicated regularly with us and frequently invited us to make decisions on minor details. He made a point of protecting the rest of our house on a daily basis from any wear or dirt from the remodel project. We used a designer, but Mike had useful modifications to the design that we are glad that we implemented. In all of his work, Mike had an acute eye for detail and was unwilling to take shortcuts. In the case of unexpected findings or when we had a preference for upgrades, his pricing was transparent and agreed to ahead of time. Not only was Mike an expert craftsman, with a wide range of building skills, he was diligent and thorough in his work, always considerate of our preferences and privacy, fair and honest, enthusiastic about his work, and a man of integrity. We were thoroughly pleased with the result of our bathroom remodel. We would definitely choose to work with Mike again in the future, and we would recommend him without hesitation to others considering bathroom or other types of remodels.

In addition to normal shower tile and plumbing work, there was substantial wall framing that rotted so he removed and replaced it, due to the demolition the wall framing had had moved 1/8 -1/4 inch out of plumb so he installed shims to assure that the tile seams would be square and tight. Needing the shower to be barrier free for a handicapped household member, he devised the proper change to floor joists that allowed proper drainage without any entry barriers. He was a delight to work with.

I…read morebought it used and the previous owner dismantled it himself, so Danny received a pile of unlabeled parts, many stripped screws, some missing pieces. But it's all perfectly re-assembled now. I appreciate that he took the time to make sure all the parts were fitting perfectly; he replaced damaged parts, and anchored the system to the wall in a super secure way that is better than what previous owner had done: I could not be happier with the outcome! Danny is super nice and courteous, and I especially appreciate the fact that he quoted me a flat rate, unlike virtually every other handyman I've ever hired! I've got a bunch of other projects I'm going to ask Danny to do. He's new to Yelp but extremely experienced and I recommend him whole heartedly. Five stars!
