Maybe I'm just remembering the exceptional service (not to mention the Frango Mints) of this store's "hey-day" as Fields, but the customer service in the Rockford Macy's is pretty low-class. Never enough clerks, and the ones I've run into are over-extended, unprofessional, and rude. I miss the old Marshall Field's tradition of wonderful service provided by well-trained, cheerful, and always helpful staff that had worked at the store for many years. So very sad. Leave it to Macy's to swallow up yet another great old retail icon. I won't bother with this store again when Bergner's is in the same Mall!!

The salesman told me they would rent me a suit that would fit. Their selection was very, very questionable. The price to rent the suit was about half the price I would pay for a decent suit at a reasonable store that services big and tall. If you're normal size, I suppose they might be OK but if you're a big guy steer Clear. Make the trip down to Schaumburg or that area and go to a legitimate big tall shop.

New and used that appear to be mixed together (?) Either way, this looks like the go to place in town for records from the last 20-30 years (which can be hard to find sometimes). These boots run really big. I asked to return them and they kindly did. I said I was going to reorder them in a half size down. She said she could help me with that. Still very nice. She walked away from me did not say another word to me just walked away. I didn't know if the return was complete. I didn't even know what was going on. She just decided to blow me off. The store itself was very clean and well organized. We stopped in to use a birthday coupon, and while they were unfortunately out of stock in the shirt size I wanted, I still found some much needed new socks. One thing to note is that the shirts are not stacked by size, so you may need to look through them all. I always enjoy checking out the new boots whenever I visit. Overall, it is a great store to find boots, western wear, and workwear with a wide selection of items priced within a good range.
