Visited Daniel's with the family recently. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. We had a group of eight and our waiter was fast and friendly. We requested a deep fried sampler as an appetizer. For dinner, most of us requested fish, since this was a seafood restaurant. Our drinks were delivered and kept full and then the appetizers arrived. They were excellent. A good while later, our dinners were delivered. The fish was bad. It was overcooked. It didn't taste good. It wasn't fresh. I definitely expected fresh fish that was cooked correctly, but it had the texture of rubber. It was very disappointing, since it was around $30 per person. My niece was able to hold her piece of fish up like a stick when it should have fallen apart, been flaky and tasty. Two people requested churrasco and it was overcooked, didn't taste like churrasco should taste, and was generally poor. We will not be back. read more

We took a drive to check out the island and ended up here. I fed a horse down the street Oreo cookies before heading for lunch at Daniel's. That was fun and I worked up quite an appetite. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and Papi had the shrimp soup. We also ordered the Morongo because Big Papi loves it. The BEST SHRIMP COCKTAIL EVER FOR $12!!! read more

Went there while visiting a friend in Humacao. The seafood was fantastic and very fresh. We met the owner Edgar and his wife after dinner and they were so so genuinely nice. His wife is the Chef btw! I recommend anyone to go there if you are looking for great food and lovely dinner! read more

We went here when we were staying in Punto Santiago. We were the only customers in the whole restaurant. The food was a solid 4 stars. It wasn't amazing, but it was certainly good. We had the lobster mofongo, fried bass, and Daniel filet. The service was excellent - and we had to use our Spanish! The waiter was so sweet and put in a video of places to see in PR while we ate our dinner. The prices were definitely more than we paid in other locations - but we also hadn't had fresh seafood. read more

Great spot on the water. Always crowded but reasonable service and prices considering that there seems to always be a wait. They serve a variety of seafood and local dishes. Their mofongo and churrasco were both good. Highly recommend by locals. Their covered seating outside allows for a breeze and enjoyment of the water view. read more

I had the salmon and it was pretty tasty. My lunch date ordered a few fried appetizers to try them out. The appetizers seemed okay (average deep fried taste options). My salmon was pretty good (cooked a little too long). Their homemade sauce was really good on the appetizers and my salmon. Ring the bell to get into the place (it may looked closed, but ring the bell and they will unlock the door for you). The GPS may take you to another location. It place is right on the beach. If you see two places show up on your map- head to the beach. This is a little restaurant tucked in a (lower income) residential area. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Not a lot of parking, so you may need to park on the road in the residential area. read more

When you get there, they buzz you in. To the left, a small bar; to the right, the dining room. There's a large TV with a recording of a Celine Dion concert playing right now. A little more variety in music would have been nice. The waiter said a few words in English but only just enough for me to get around the words I couldn't make out because of the accent of the local dialect. Luckily for those who don't know Spanish, the menu has English translations so point away if you need to! Everything we had was good. The pastelillo with fish was flavorful and came with a tomatoey sauce. The lobster soup was a bit pricey for just a bit of meat in mostly rice in a tomatoey broth, but tasty if you are into that sort of thing. Easy enough to make if you know how to cook though. The fish stuffed with lobster in garlic sauce was my favorite. It was tender and flavorful. Definitely worth trying! The octopus and conch (in salad) was also good but not actually a salad in the raw greens sense. Also worth a try. On sides: Mofongo and plantains were standard. Do not go with the map Yelp provides! This place is actually at the beach! Well with the search! We had the fried red snapper - outstanding!!!!!!!! We also had the rice with crab - extraordinary!!! For appetizers we had the fish soup, very good; also had a trunkfish turnover, also very good. To finish this feast off, we had a cheese flan - I think this has been the best flan I've had in a while! And prices are very reasonable! Lastly, our server was the best! A little hard to find. The sangrias are made on the premises and delicious! We started with a salad, small but right for a starter. They recommended the lobster because it was fresh, but it was really tough. Did not taste or feel fresh. The chicken breast was bland with no pizzaz to it. Tasted like boiled chicken with onions and pepper on top. Rice was cold, beans were super hot, like if they were microwaved. We visited on a Friday night, and only three tables, one which was occupied by parents drinking and kids running around like at McDonalds. They did have a good selection of beer and wine, but, we didn't have any. The ambiance is nicer than most places in the area, well air conditioned. It is a sad case of development where this restaurant is hidden away from diners who are looking for a good meal. The new highway must have affected the business. Otherwise I would certainly recommend anyone looking for a nice meal of seafood in Humacao town. It was a challenge itself to look for the restaurant. read more

One word; outstanding! From the courteous service to the pleasant setting and the delicious food! I am born and raised in PR and very picky about my seafood. Everything we ordered was top notch. This is a fantastic place if you like seafood. We started with an order of the monkfish pastelillos and shrimp cocktails. We followed up with whole lobsters in a garlic sauce. The portions were sizable and the quality was excellent. Will definitely come back before I leave PR. read more

Yelp directions totally wrong - it's a block off the highway on the WATER side of the road - watch for their little sign as you drive through town. Covered outside dining with water view and breezes. Friendly local atmosphere; OK food although salty to our tastes. Fried whole fish highly recommended by local diners. Very pleasant for a late lunch. read more
