SHUT UP AND WAIT…read more.... though Dr. West is very nice and takes appropriate time w/patients (appreciated), this time is NOT reflected in how they book appts. After yrs of being in business, he knows the average time he spends for each type of patient appt...so there's NO excuse for overbooking appts, where you have to wait, and wait, and wait.... EVERY time I've had an appt over the yrs, I've had to wait 30min - an hour+ and today was no different. I went for a pre-deep cleaning appt where they needed to take blood pressure/check heart and sign some docs...which takes about 5 minutes. After 25min wait, I finally said something to staff about status and waiting for close to 30min for a 5-min appt was not acceptable. One staff member immediately responded with hostility, saying "well, it's going to be a while...quite a while before he's ready. I can take you back to a room but you're still going to have to wait" REALLY?? I was taken back and he took blood pressure and had me sign docs and left. I waited another 10 minutes and then walked up to front and said I was only going to wait another 5min. That came and gone so I walked out again and stood outside the room where Dr. West was (another 5 min)....so I could catch him as soon as that appt was done. NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT He came out and we walked into the room I had been in. I said he needed to address his booking tactics, that waiting for 40 + min for a 5-min appt was way overboard. He responded by stating he spends time w/patients and doesn't rush.....and that's GREAT but I told him this "time" needed to be reflected in his booking tactics so patients don't have to wait and wait and wait. He never apologized, never acknowledged my concern and my lengthy wait. Just completely ignored it. What DID he respond to??? He responded by saying his practice wasn't a good fit for me. That clearly showed he had no intention of addressing my concern and if I had just kept my mouth shut and continued to wait unnecessarily longer, everything would be OK. Sorry Doc, but treating patients like this (dismissing them if they DARE to confront you on continual, beyond lengthy wait times) is unacceptable. HEADS UP FOLKS cuz it was VERY apparent he had no intentions of changing anything....other than refusing service to anyone who confronts him. BAD BUSINESS...... BE AWARE FOLKS.....

They were simply efficient, and coordinated. They were 100% ready to perform the services, the xray, the cleaning, everything. No waiting on my part. As for the service, again, very professional , and cordial. The assistant did majority of the work, and was careful to not inflict too much pain. The doctor came in and reviewed and QA all the work, and then provided a summary of the xray, teeth health, etc etc.

Through the years I have gotten several fillings, cleanings 3 times a year, and great referrals. In 2025, the dental hygienist suggested that I get a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. I get my teeth clean three times a year for the last 12yrs and have very little plaque. On an X-ray there were circled to small spots that had plaque that they sent to my insurance company that could have easily been taken care of with a regular cleaning. The deep cleaning is more expensive and has over a hundred dollars out-of-pocket cost. I told them I did not want the deep cleaning. After that, the office staff refused to book an appointment for me unless, I got the deep cleaning instead of my usual cleaning. I can afford it, but I don't like dental offices forcing treatment on me because it's more profitable for them.

In 2022, I had a procedure done at Georgia Periodontist in Decatur, and my insurance (Delta Dental) was supposed to cover 100% of the cost except for anesthesia, which I paid upfront, $500 out of pocket. However, the office submitted the insurance claim incorrectly, which caused it to be denied. When I called Delta Dental, they clearly explained that the claim just needed to be resubmitted properly. I've told this office that same thing REPEATEDLY multiple times over the years and they still haven't corrected or resubmitted the claim. Instead, they've sent my account to two different collection agencies for a charge that should've been paid by insurance! I've done everything I can to resolve this directly and professionally, but I'm now being harassed by collectors for something that isn't even my responsibility. I've made it very clear that if this ends up on my credit report or the calls continue, I'll have no choice but to take legal action. All I'm asking is for this office to do the right thing: resubmit the claim to Delta Dental and close out this matter. Communication and accountability should matter, especially in healthcare.

Dr Litterer was to examine faulty implant tooth #4. He did a thorough review of all my teeth but refused to write up a result or even a TREATMENT PLAN. It was all verbal and hard to understand. I explained to Kayla front desk who said she would talk to him and then forward to me his findings and recommended plan. after several emails she responded w nothing from Dr Litterer just said to have some other Dentist remove implant plus another tooth #14 and come back to them for another consultation. Why would I have teeth removed without a future plan from him. I had Delta Insurance but they said their system was down so charged me $330. I go out to my car call Delta no problem but she said too late you'll have to 4-6 weeks for reimbursement. I followed up with professional Periodontist who said tooth #14 was fine and he gave me a Treatment Plan which I had the work done shortly after by Dr Jay Patel at Piedmont Oral & Facial Surgery. Tooth #4 Implant removed with a solid Treatment Plan for future work. In conclusion I have never been to a Dental office that did not provide alternative or solution until I went to Georgia Periodontics.

I felt absolutely no pain, even when I was conscious. They provided me with plenty of painkillers afterwards and instructed me on how to take care of my mouth while healing. I just had a brand new retainer made by Dr. Lofters. It fits well. He taught me how to take care of it so it doesn't get scratched or stained. These people are the real deal!
