I finally had an appointment on a Monday. Coming out of a work trip the week prior I got a URI traveling back on Friday, and called over the weekend to let them know of my URI and my inability to make my appointment. I woke up Monday to several missed calls about my "missing the appointment". I called immediately, indicated I left a VM and was out sick, but was rudely treated on the phone, told they didn't receive my VM, and then sent a bill for $100 for a missed appointment - while I was OOO for 3 days ill that week. If they had a proper online system, I could have rescheduled immediately on Saturday. And I have repeatedly had to follow up to VMs - which are untraceable. The doctor is inaccessible and apparently incapable of managing a professional office. Needless to say, I will fighting the $100, given I have iphone records of my phone calls, and will be switching dentists to one who makes it easy to coordinate with them.

This is a revenue-driven corporate model that costs the customer much more of a time and money commitment. Of course, this two-appointment model could also be driven by staffing shortages. No matter, if you prefer one co-pay per cleaning and preventative exam, you might consider a more traditional dental practice.

The pain unbearable and I went back to elegant Smilez and they removed my permanent crown and cleaned out the root canal and put a temporary crown in place, but they charge me for an entire new root canal, which is all documented with my insurance. So they proceed to send me to a specialist and I called the specialist and it will be $300 for me to see a specialist. So I just called elegant Smilez and they informed me that the Doctor Who did my root canal she's no longer in the office and begin to charge me a new patient $199 fee. I talk to one of the medical doctors on Wednesday Sept 17, put advised me that he would help me and would call back... well he refused to call back and I gave him all day Thursday to call me back and he didn't so I proceeded to call Friday, September 19 and all day my calls were forwarded to a fax line..
