I was referred to Daniel from a co-worker. I decide to try a trainer because I was training for the Tough Mudder last year (in Vermont). I was pushing myself decently but figured and trainer push me harder.... (and without a doubt Daniel was the right decision).
Daniel started with an assessment to see where I was. (Note: Most noted, I was at 35% body fat. He also took my measurements, resting heart rate, blood pressure, etc.)
After 9 months, I was ready for the Tough Mudder. Daniel was great at making sure I reached my goal. He mixed things up; but in particular he related each exercise to different events that I'd have to do in the Tough Mudder. We worked on my cardio, strength, agility, etc. Each session was a surprise and a challenge. It was tough but I made it through (a couple times, I felt like puking...) :)
On a personally level, Daniel also helped coach me through other details that maybe other trainers might not. He taught me how to wrap my ankle and to look into good equipment for the Tough Mudder. All of which paid of immensely at the event. I wrapped my weaker ankle an during the event there must have been like 10 times when I slipped or probably would have twisted my ankle if it wasn't for the wrap and proper equipment/clothes I had for that event.
Daniel, probably like most trainers, also helped me with my eating habits as well.
One year later and I'm much stronger and faster now. I can run miles and miles without losing my breath. I'm down to 20% body fat (and aiming for 15% now this next year). All my friends say I look great; but most importantly, I feel great and have good energy.
I take boxing now, TRX classes from time to time, boot camps, swimming, etc. now. [I don't attribute that all to Daniel; but he certainly conditioned me to succeed in those activities.]
I'm still working with Daniel and plan on continuing it to reach my goal(s).
He is a great trainer and if you're looking for someone to keep you focused, help train for an event or just to get in shape, I strongly suggest trying a few sessions with Daniel. read more
