Last Saturday, because of tender spot in my bottom gum and-of course, reading on the internet about…read morepossible causes, I sent a text to Dr Desai. On Sunday we made contact and he came to the Chestnut Hill office having shifted appointments at the other office. In an hour, he had examined the site, taken X-rays, explained fistulas and did a thorough cleaning, draining and disinfecting of the site and a return visit in 2 weeks. I needed to go out of town on Monday and went happily having had the prompt diagnosis and treatment. Dr Desai gets an A++ for responding to a patient over the weekend, fitting me in on a Monday and giving excellent care. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

His communication skills are equally excellent. I always bring questions which he answers thoughtfully.and in as much detail as I request. I feel that his attention is fully on me whether working with his hands or conversing with me. He explains options well, repeating them if needed - always with patience. A year ago when a dental issue turned into a larger medical one and my primary care doc was unavailable, he advised and checked on me in person and digitally without further charge. I I am most grateful for his services and recommend him without reservation.

I have been a patient in this office for quite a few years. Back in 2023 the dentist there said I…read moreneeded to replace an old crown, which I had done there. I had cleaning every 6 months or a yearly, I had X-rays when they said I was due. No one said I had a cavity or any issue with my teeth. In 2026 I was there for a routine cleaning and when the dentist came in, he said I needed to replace that same crown. I asked him why? it's not that old? He said it's not fitting correctly. I called the office and asked them to send me the x-rays. I told her my problem and she suggested I have a consultation with the owner, which I did a couple days later after that cleaning. He said I have a cavity under that crown. I asked why didn't your dentist tell me that, I was just here a couple days ago. He said he will talk to him. I question if I have a cavity there, I really do! The office called me and said the the owner would discount a price of a new crown and charge $420. He did not take responsibility that the crown was not put in properly in 2023. It was nothing I did or didn't do. When I got home I spoke to my husband, who is a retired dentist, he looked at the x-rays and said if I have a cavity there it is likely due to the open margin of the crown. He said it was not seated correctly. My insurance will not pay for a crown that is 3 years old. I would not go back to that office now even he said he will replace it at no charge. One doc said nothing about a cavity, two days later another doc said I have a cavity!! I lost my trust in them. I rather pay elsewhere and have it done correctly. They lost me and my uncle as patients.

Would that be starting Jan this year? :) Never happened to be where office actually keeps account of missed appointments no denied service. It's good thing I haven't taken my elderly mother and recommend this place to other family members, friends, work and community Just waiting for my recent panoramic x-rays to be sent to me. There are plenty of new dentist facility. The plus to my short experience was dentist " had good bedside manner" and dental hygenist but prefer someone more experience. And didn't offer any monthly treatment plan and I think the only office which doesn't offer in office payment plans ( as many do with extensive dental treatment) not talking about 3rd parties like care credit. I would recommend anyone needing treatment going elsewhere again too many dentists every area in state.

I have another dentist that I've been going to since I was a child, but I wanted to address this issue immediately, so I scheduled with Dental Solutions of Roxborough. I arrived early and still waited until 10:40am to get called to the back room. The front desk ended up taking someone who was there for an appointment after me before they took me. Once I finally get to the back, they take a bunch of x-rays. Again, I'm here for a teeth grinding issue and my regular dentist does the x-rays regularly. Afterwards, they assumed they would be giving me a regular cleaning and I had to tell them I'm literally only there for another issue related to teeth grinding. Finally at 11am I see the doctor... and I'm told that there is nothing else to really do about my grinding since I have a mouth guard. Basically just ridiculous that it took an hour to be seen by a doctor for an issue that took only a few minutes to address. The office seems so unorganized and didn't even know what I schedule the appointment for!

I'm writing this review, despite some initial hesitation, due to a highly disappointing experience…read moreat your office. Like other reviewers, I was immediately pressured into an expensive "deep clean" for $150 above my insurance coverage, even though I maintain regular dental check-ups, with my last one less than a year ago. When I declined the deep clean and requested only my routine insurance-covered cleaning, I was met with significant resistance and passed between three different staff members to discuss my decision. They also presented me with additional, unquoted and quoted services: $20 for fluoride (not covered by insurance), fillings for three cavities ($170), and a night guard fitting (no price given). I agreed to the fluoride and fillings. After this discussion, I was moved back to the waiting room for 15 minutes before being called for my "routine" cleaning. The hygienist spent a mere 3.5 minutes on my cleaning, a stark contrast to the typical 15 minutes I receive elsewhere. This felt like a deliberate attempt to penalize me for declining the deep clean. The fluoride was also not administered at this point, as it was supposed to follow the fillings. I then waited again for a chair to open for the fillings. While I considered leaving, I was reluctant to postpone addressing the cavities (I've only had one other cavity in my life, and after reading other reviews, I now question if a second opinion would have been a good idea). During the filling procedure, I gagged multiple times, which has never happened to me before. Staff repeatedly asked if this was "always a problem" for me, making me feel at fault, when the issue was clearly an unheld or uncomfortably placed suction device. In the middle of the procedure (mid-drill) I was left alone while the care team went to talk about another scheduling conflict. Finally, they forgot to administer the fluoride treatment and discuss pricing of the night guard. At that point, I decided to leave without pursuing them. At checkout, I had to remind the staff to remove the fluoride charge from my bill. Overall, my patient experience was extremely poor. While I hope it was an isolated incident, other reviews suggest this is a recurring trend. I've attempted to call the office but it was closed, and I will be calling back to discuss these issues further.
