Amanda goes above and beyond to accommodate me with my short hair craziness ,Many times I just say do whatever you think. And my hair always turns out perfectly the way I had invisioned! The walmart of hair salons ran by a natzi. Impossible to sit down and relax while she stomps around trolling the place with her witch nose pointed in the air sniffing out anything unsuspecting. Her highlights are extremely sloppy and she hires strippers and anyone who walks in off the street. Ive been to many salons in and around the area and I am unimpressed with this establishments professionalism. The ignorance and the attitude amazes me, as if they are the only salon in business. I think they know where they can shove their "services". Thank you daniel and company lets not forget Sargent Margaret for the worst experience of my life. Save your money and go to cvs! read more

I went to this salon on the recommendation of my mother. I was never really satisfied with my cuts, but my mom said it was a great place. I thought maybe I just didn't know any better or wasn't communicating with the stylists well enough. My hair is thin, but curly, so I know it isn't easy to work with. I felt that many of the stylists were either nervous because they were new to styling or nervous because of the owner's tendency to butt in on an appointment and comment on their work. The stylists were mostly young and socialized with each other. A few times they asked to "try" new techniques they "just learned" on me for things like cutting side-bangs. It also seemed like the turnover of stylists was very high. I would find a person who I liked talking to, even if I wasn't crazy about how my hair looked, and then a few appointments later I'd call and be told that stylist was no longer working there. This happened at least twice. Another thing that bothered me is that they really try to push their products on you, and claim that theirs are the best because they have such a low pH. A low pH is an indication of acidity, (a pH less than 7 is said to be acidic. Pure water has a pH of 7) I recall their products have an advertized pH on the bottle between 2-3, which is very acidic. I am recalling that number from memory, however, and I hope I am wrong. At one point the owner did cut my hair, because I had had a particularly bad cut and wanted to make it manageable. I was at first excited to have the honor of the owner cutting my hair, expecting her to be more skilled.. but when I left I still had a bad haircut and the problem I pointed out had not been fixed. At this point I told my mother I didn't want to go there anymore, and she said she had already stopped going to Daniel & Co because she found it too expensive. SUMMARY: I was unhappy with my hair cuts. The owner makes the stylists nervous and isn't very good at cutting hair herself. A lot of the stylists are new, and stylists seem to leave Daniel & Co often. They push expensive products on you that are potentially very unhealthy for your hair. The prices are high, especially considering the quality of service. read more

Went to Daniel & Co and got appt with stylist. I had highlights but asked stylist to color hair all one color. I no longer wanted highlights. Also requested that she just trim my hair. When I left, I was not happy. I paid and spoke to the manager/owner who assured me that she would contact me to make appt to redo my hair. I received no call. Horrible experience. Manager micromanages stylists and has no idea how to speak to people. Will NEVER go back. read more

So disappointing. I was really looking for a new salon to be dedicated to but I enter in and the girl I had started in saying whoever my last hairdresser was, was terrible. (I was with her for 3 years and she brought me hair to amazing health) then she kept saying or let me at this and that I swear it's fine. Made me hair YELLOW. I looked like I was a yellow lab by how horrible. Then she kept throwing me from 1 hair dresser to another which NONE were polite or anything. I ended up thinking , okay, well a 1 color all over hair won't cost a lot at the very least. NOPE I was charged $250 and when I said "uh you should have quoted me if it was going to be this insane" she replied with oh oops I totally forgot. I guess I can give you $50 off. I've been going here regularly for haircuts, color, and highlights for over 2 years. I have had great service. They even did updos and make-up for myself and bridesmaids for my wedding. At the last minute we needed to get in 3 hours before they opened and the staff at Daniel & Co were extremely accommodating. read more

After going to the same hairdresser for 15 years, when she left I had no choice but to find someone else. I tried a new salon altogether and ended up at Daniel & Co. Ashley was my first stylist and I was immediately impressed with her knowledge and work. Their prices might be a bit higher, but you're also paying for quality. I'll gladly pay more to ensure longer lasting color and staff experience. My biggest mistake was not finding them sooner. read more

She was outstanding. She took the time to ask me what was important and how I had it done before. She went to work and without hesitation did her thing- Excellent. Plus she is cute. Owner Margaret is rude and unprofessional. Her work is horrible. I would not recommend anyone take their dog here for a hair cut.

If there were zero stars I would have selected that. I had my daughter's hair cut there and the "stylist" (say that very loosely), literally hacked her hair. It was so uneven, my daughter could have done a better job herself! How this "salon" gets any good reviews, is beyond my comprehension. They made a mistake in the scheduling and did not apologize. Instead, when I called back, Margaret the owner, told me "You can look for another place to go to!" and HUNG UP on me!!! I was shocked and asked myself, "did she just hang up on me? Wow, what did I do wrong?" I called back to make sure if she really did hang up or a bad connection. SHE HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN -THREE TIMES!!! What just happened? I finally left a message on their voicemail at the fourth try and I told her, "so this is how you treat a person, a loyal, PAYING CUSTOMER for at least 8 years. Clean place, friendly but too many mistakes. I've been about five times. The first time I went for highlights. They were orange. I went back they tried to fix it by putting toner in...nope still orange. Then the put a dye over them. Still not right. So now my hair is DARK brown again. Ugh. Then I asked for a very specific cut. I brought a picture and everything. Total screw up. She had me STAND up to cut my hair! Strange...never ever going back. If you do go, pay the extra money for an EXPERIENCED stylist. :( read more

Decided to try this salon recently for a cut and highlights and was very happy with the results. The stylist listened to what I wanted and was very attentive. Salon was busy but they took the time to make sure I was taken care of. It's a cute spot and very clean. I got a lot of compliments on my new look and I will definitely be going back! read more

I began going to this salon last summer as it was recommended highly by a co-worker. The hair stylist I went to was great, but then had to take time out to have her baby. I then had a couple of others that did a good job on my hair. I received a phone call two days before a scheduled appointment I had that the stylist I was supposed to have was no longer employed by Daniel & Co. and that the owner of the salon was going to do my hair. I went in for a color and few highlights. During this particular visit, the salon was decorated in birthday decorations for the owner's 60th birthday with games to play and prizes to win. I found this kind of odd in a hair salon during business hours. Needless to say, while the owner was working on my hair, she was paying more attention to people leaving and getting prizes, etc. regarding her birthday than working on my hair. When I went home and looked in the mirror, I noticed a color blotch at the top of my head and the highlights were not even blended. My hair was also choppy in the back. During that week, I contacted the salon and informed the person who answer the phone what had happened and they scheduled me an appointment to come in. All I stated on the phone to this staff person was how I was unhappy with how my hair came out and that the owner wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, but more concerned with her birthday celebration. They scheduled me to get my hair fixed with another stylist. When I arrived that following week, the owner took me to the back of the salon, kneeled down and said that she didn't appreciate that I talked bad about her to her staff on the phone. I then said that I had the right as a customer to express how I was unsatisfied with the service I received (after all I am the one paying for the service). She was very rude to me and then stated that she cancelled all my future appointments. She also stated that I was not allowed back in her establishment and that I was not to say anything to her staff while I was there about what happened. My hair is still not right. It is not blended. It is choppy in the back and uneven in the front and I have to spend way too much time on it each day. I am now looking for a good hair dresser. I would not recommend Daniel & Co. to anyone. They had no right to treat me the way they did, very unprofessional. read more
