They gave us a quick SUP lesson, and then we were on our way SUPing through the beautiful, crystal clear Cancun waterways. The tour might be a little much for young kids to paddle the entire way, but a child can sit on a board as an adult paddles if you are up for that. This isn't your average boring tour. Quickie brings the passion and fun on your adventure. We started off our morning by getting picked up by Don Juan and Quickie. While the tour time might seem early, it's 100% worth it because it allows you to skip out on lines and crowds. We headed to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins. During our ride Quickie gave us a brief bio on himself and then provided us a lot of historical context for the ruins. When we arrived he dropped us off and let us do a self-guided tour which was nice because he wasn't being overbearing like a normal tour guide would be. Once we were ready to leave Quickie met us back at the entrance and took us to a hole in the wall spot that had amazingggg tacos. Next up on our list was visiting a cenote in Tulum. Quickie and Don Juan had all of our equipment ready for us which made the process nice and easy. Quickie picked a cenote for us that was breathtaking but not swamped with people (very important!!!). We snorkeled in the cenote with Quickie while Don Juan watched all of our belongings. Quickie provided us with knowledge on the cenote and even took pics for us. After the cenote we went snorkeling with turtles, stingrays, fix, and squids. It was a great time. Following snorkeling, Quickie took us to another hole in the wall restaurant where we had more amazing food and drinks. Our tummies felt very satisfied! We then visited another cenote where we had it all to ourselves. It was AMAZING!!! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. To say Quickie is a wonderful guide would be an understatement. Both Quickie and Don Juan treat you like family. When we first met up in the morning Quickie said we would just be hanging with friends who happened to be locals. I didn't understand what he meant at first but once our time together came to an end it all made sense. Quickie goes out of his way to make sure your comfortable and well taken care of. I cannot recommend Quickie and Don Juan enough. The tour is well worth the money and time. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not booking this tour. I left as one happy camper and look forward to booking with Quickie again on my next visit. 10/10 recommend!

The amount of time spent on each activity was perfect. Long enough to enjoy everything and short enough to not feel as though it was dragging on. Quickie has extensive knowledge about the history of the tulum area and gives you excellent history and current states of the local environment. The cenotes were gorgeous and pristine. The zip lining was fun and safe. At every stage we were met with quick assistance and service. We went to quickies favorite taco place which was amazing. Hand made tortillas and a large selection of different meats. Surprisingly they put rice and beans on the tacos, if desired. The catamaran was huge and the ocean was gorgeous. We went snorkeling and saw sting rays and several turtles. There is a generous amount of drinks available to unwind with on the ocean at the end of the excursion. Quickie is a fun funny and knowledgeable guy. He is extremely thoughtful of all your needs. Not one time was I uncomfortable or needed to ask for something. I absolutely recommend taking advantage of his services when in the Tulum area.

Towards the end, it was a party with them, it was such a great way to end my trip. The vibes were WONDERFUL. During the experience, we had freshly made ceviche and burgers. They were also accommodating with my dairy allergy and the drinks they made were fantastic! I appreciated the crew prioritizing safety while keeping the environment exciting and fun. I loved it! Lola took AMAZING photos of our entire experience. Jesus got photos of my friends and I snorkeling and some fishes that we saw. It was beautiful! Getting a new start - surprise 'vows' on a RMCatamaran with our families…read more We booked an evening cruise with Riviera Maya Catamarans. Our daughters and their 'friends' were meeting for the first time. We let RMC know that we wanted to surprise our family with a simple vow-exchanging ceremony. The Captain and staff knew - no one else. We were welcomed by two amazing greeters - they presented us with a cold bottle of champagne before we even boarded. The staff had taken time to set a gorgeous table with fresh fruit and snacks - fresh flowers placed around the vessel. it was the perfect welcome. I wish that I could remember all of the names staff: Sofia, Captain Alex are the names that come to mind - but all were great at their jobs. My only discouragement was that the seas were rough, so we had to stay in Puerto Adventuras canals and finally dropped anchor in what I'd consider to be a 'party cove'. Cap Alex did his best to get us away from the twerkers, loud music and drunk partiers. We did surprise our family -Captain Alex ad-libbed the wedding in Spanish, we exchanged vows and he declared us 'husband and wife'. It was magical. I thank the staff, Captain and crew for making a positively wonderful event for us and our families. Thank you!

She just did not inform me. The scheduled time was 4.30. As my tour got complicated, it did not end on the scheduled time. The crew waited patiently to 6 PM at which time my wife ,correctly, ordered the sail to take place as the Space Station was scheduled to fly over head at 6.45. Although I missed my own party, the pictures of my family and friends were amazing. I hate writing bad reviews but these guys were not honest about the day's conditions…read more We booked the catamaran through our hotel, Barceló Maya and an event there organized by CID. We were sold "Sail[ing] from Puerto Aventuras to the second largest coral reef system in the world on a luxury 65-foot catamaran. Swim among hundreds of tropical fish species, turtles, whale sharks, and fabulous coral reefs on this guided snorkeling adventure. While you swim, a meal will be prepared on board. Enjoy an exquisite lobster or New York strip steak with a full open bar including mixed drinks, beer, margaritas, soda and purified water." The last few days had been windy and the seas very rough. That morning was no different. We decided to at least check in at the lobby and see what the plan was. At that point, even if the vendor didn't cancel, we considered eating the cost of the excursion and staying safe and happy at the hotel. Weather is unpredictable but especially so in the tropics. At the lobby, we were informed that the boat would still go out but snorkeling was a 50-50 chance. I'm an avid diver and I adore sailing so I was hoping at least a boat ride was still possible, if not snorkeling. We risked it, erring on the side of adventure. About 15 minutes later, upon exiting the shuttle, we were immediately informed that the boat would NOT be going out NOR would snorkeling be an option. The plan was, instead, to take us to a small bay in the harbor and let us swim. They'd open up the bar early in hopes that everyone drank too much to care. I cared. I find it highly unlikely that information about conditions changed since we left the hotel. No doubt our activities coordinator at Barceló had been misinformed to ensure the cruise wasn't cancelled. I felt duped. If I had known this info upfront, we would have just opted to stay at the hotel. No big deal. What we were sold: A catamaran ride and snorkeling adventure. What we got: A stationary booze cruise. The boat never opened a sail. They ran out of wine and other drinks. And we were stuck there FOR FOUR HOURS. We made do with what we could but the whole smoke and mirrors show was hard to swallow. What should have been the icing on the cake (lunch, bar and water slide) felt like an expensive 4-hour jail. Let me put it this way: When the crew announced that we were finally headed back to the dock, the entire boat cheered or exclaimed, "Thank god." So I wasn't the only one who felt duped.

Our group of 8 friends booked the excursion with the cenote and sea turtle snorkeling recently…read more Booking was easy through Viator, a bit pricey but worth the experience. We were picked up from our resort right at 7 am and then we made our way to the Cancun Adventures office to wait for two other couples from other resorts. This ended up taking quite a bit of time, but thankfully there is a coffee shop next door where we got some caffeine and a snack. They did offer us cold bottled water and bananas on the bus (I would bring extra snacks because by the time we finished at the cenote I was starving and had to pay $6 for a small bag of chips at the cenote). The bus was pretty crowded with 12 people, and driving back into the jungle to the cenote was VERY bumpy. Be sure to take some dramamine if you get car sick! Omar was our guide and he was amazing. He told us about the area of Mexico we were in, and talked about the cenotes and what we could expect at each stop. Once we got to the cenote, we were offered a Mayan blessing, showered off, and headed into the cenote. They do not allow any photos or devices in the cenote. (They provide a locker for your stuff.) Once you get into the cenote they take your photos, which was kitschy and VERY expensive ($50 for one photo), but I get it's part of the tour. I absolutely loved the cenote experience itself - it was so cool to learn about and Omar's background in biology made it very informative. This part was about an hour, then you could shop a bit (they are pretty pushy but you can politely decline). Then we headed on to the snorkeling portion. I personally don't really love snorkeling, but it was fun to see the turtles! We saw about 4 or 5, but it was a bit chaotic with other groups everywhere. Then we headed to the beach club for lunch. This private beach was peaceful and the food was delicious. I personally loved the beef burrito. Mix the hibiscus and lemonade half and half for a tasty beverage. There are some areas to relax and changing rooms, so bring dry clothes to change into if you want. Pack a towel! Overall the tour took much longer than I was expecting, so be sure to plan for that if you have a dinner reservation or other evening plans. But I loved the experience and Omar was awesome.

Along the way, we stopped at the underwater museum, where we snorkeled up to some of the artwork, and took in the sights of bright, vibrant coral reefs and amazing fish. On board, they served up sandwiches, and sweets, and snacks. The staff was super friendly, and got through the drunk as touristas as fast as possible. They provided all the equipment needed for snorkeling. There were more people on board than expected. I'd say maybe 65 people on board each catamaran. It wasn't exactly a private tour.

We selected the 4-hour charter, which included the snorkeling excursion, snacks (ceviche, guac, and chips) and an open bar. Our guests had an incredible time!! The boat came equipped with clean restrooms, great snacks, and the staff kept the drinks flowing. If I could have done it again, I would not have personally done the snorkeling, as the waters were pretty challenging (even with a life vest) and not much marine life could be seen. We were lead in the water by our guide, but went pretty far... Despite our crew giving instructions to signal for assistance when needed in the water, our crew completely forgot all instructions when I actually needed help. Instead of coming to rescue when I signaled for help, they waved back at me... could have met my maker, but here I am, living to fight another day.

We were there during late September so it wasn't prime fishing season and we didn't catch a ton but we still had a blast. We caught trigger fish, baracuda, and small bait fish. One of my favorite parts was when they took us snorkeling. We saw huge sting rays, turtles, and all kinds of fish. We had to laugh at the catamaran that dropped off 30+ people and made them swim shoulder to shoulder while we were free to do as we pleased. Plus while we were in the water they made us fresh ceviche from the trigger fish we had just caught for lunch. It was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend this charter for people who want to fish without a ton of others around.
