So I booked my first appointment with Maggie and walked in to the appointment slightly nervous. I've had a bunch of Brazilian waxes over the last couple years but for some reason still was feeling nervous! The first impression of the place was a smallish hole in the wall place but it opened up to a much larger set of rooms with many waxers. The front desk girl greeted me and I was seen quickly by Maggie. Maggie is an absolute gem! Very very nice and welcoming lady who truly seems to enjoy her work. She chatted with me and got to know more about my life which made me feel a lot better about getting waxed again. It had been awhile. I let her know and she was patient with me through the whole process. Now be forewarned! Maggie's technique was different than the other esthetician I went to before. But her technique is was makes the hair stay away for even longer! So just trust that she knows what she's doing. She treats her clients like family and works really hard at this skill. Everything is green and gold and there is a very luxe feeling. The wax does not pull on the skin too much because it is made out of pine resin or something like that-- it's already naturally elastic. My favorite waxed is Lucy, she makes it a much more comfortable experience and always talks to me to take my mind off of everything and we always joke in service and talk about the goings on about life/work. Babita is a good and efficient waxer as well-- I just had her recently when Lucy was not on schedule for the time I needed. After everything is all said and done and waxed, they give you a little ice pack to sit and "calm down" for a second and I like that because no other waxing spa/salon I've been to has done that, and at this point, it really is the little things that make a big different. I had no idea there was a range of ways to tackle a lash lift and I've had this done plenty of times before and no one ever asked! That lady left me in so much pain and it was a terrible experience. So I switched locations and went here instead. So grateful that I got Camila for my waxing. She was thorough and quick and it was nowhere even close to the amount of pain that I experienced last month. If you're concerned about the pain, I highly recommend you see her.
