The Dani Brasserie is located on the rooftop of the Four Seasons Madrid and is all things posh. Michelin Starred Chef Dani Garcia is a creative chef genius with the dishes he creates for his highly acclaimed brasserie. On a recent trip to Spain, we started our trip in Madrid. Our daughter treated us to dinner here where she stayed as a guest. Upon entering the very colorful floral restaurant no touch of elegance is left un touched. We were greeted with in moments of being seated and complimented with a glass of Roederer champagne. Maybe this was due to our daughter, we have no idea but seeing and being treated to a Roederer champagne by the sommelier was something special. We had a table that looked outside to the outdoor patio and the skyline on the particular night was gorgeous. Because tables are set for a 90 minute reserved time slot and Dani Brasserie was busy we went ahead and ordered. We opted for the Foie Cherry Port, a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds. It is served as a cherry with the foie gras encased in tart cherry gelee and toast points. We also had to have the Iberian Ham with crisp Cristallino Bread and Tomato, again so amazing and went well with the champagne. We also had Oysters. My husband had to have the Dani Rossini Burger and I kid you not he said it was most amazing burger he has ever had. We had just been to NYC and another Michelin Starred restaurant, (Gramercy Tavern) and he had a burger there, (he seems to have a thing for burgers in Michelin Starred places!!), and he thought THAT was the best!! He said to this day that the Dani Burger is still the burger that dreams are made of! I split a Seabass Wellington with my daughter and I may have the name of it wrong completely, but it was rich and so tasty! It was encased in a super rich pastry crust and still too much to eat despite that we shared. There was also a Truffled Black Ravioli on the table because we are obviously gluttonous when we travel to other countries! Dani Brasserie was more than just a beautiful meal, it's a beautiful experience from beginning to end. The staff was amazing and patient with us and our questions and all of my allergies which my daughter took the time to list on our reservation prior to our arrival in Spain. The wine list is supreme and as a sommelier myself I could have looked and sampled wines all night! The dessert we had was prepared at the table and was over the top and caught the attention of other diners and of course the rooftop outside is photo worthy ! We came back another day to have a drink on the balcony of the Dani and it made our trip so special before our adventure carried on to other parts of Spain. The Dani is very worthy of it's Michelin Star! read more
