I found out about this salon after being frustrated with a salon that I had been going to for years-- when my regular nail artist made me wait almost an hour after my appointment time because she had taken another client literally 5 minutes before my appointment. I was told it would be just a 5-10 minute wait. Anyway....I discovered Dang Nails (and Sandy) and I've never looked back ! There's not as much socializing, but I'm fine with that --and their fees are also lower! They do a wonderful Job on my acrylic nails and pedicure--Sandy is an artist and a perfectionist which I love. First and last time visiting this salon. Pedicure was just so-so. I got the "deluxe" thinking it would include the foot scraper that most nail salons use on your heels, but it didn't. The scrub and leg massage was nice, but I felt like my actual toenails and heels needed more attention. I had just gotten off work, so I wasn't up to questioning the gentleman. I just let him do his thing, but def won't go back. And the paper said the deluxe was $40, but they charged me $60. I got shellac, but an extra $20 for shellac?!? That's ridiculous! I have been going here for about 18 months. I would get my nails done every so often but then take a break to let my nails breathe. My husband bought me a gift card and since I didn't go very often I went to use the card and it said expired 7/25. I asked if he would honor the gift card (usually no expiration date) because since I don't go very often I didn't realize it expired until I went to use it. He told me no. No exception. I tried to explain that this was paid for. He has the money from this transaction and please would he honor it. He said no. Very disappointed. Beware of you get a gift card that it does expire and they will NOT Work with you. He said it was because of accounting which doesn't make since because he got his money from the initial purchase of the card. Why not honor this to keep your customer? read more

This was my very first time getting my nails done here and I found it sitting in traffic! I'm currently on the search of finding a new nail salon and this may be it. Kim did my nails. She was very nice and detailed. She made sure I was satisfied with my nails before leaving. She's fairly new at the establishment she advised me. This is a nice, clean and professional little gem of a shop and I'm glad to have discovered it! It's a small, family-run operation and pricing is fair. It does tend to get busy so I recommend calling ahead vs. walking in; but they can usually fit me in same day within a couple of hours. read more

I get pedicures often in the flip-flop friendly months, usually 2 times a month. I recently moved from Smyrna to Marietta and needed a new nail place. I was curious to try Dang Nails, both for the location and the funny name. It was about the same as most other generic nail salons... pretty clean, nice spa chairs, OPI and other polish, the Vietnamese girls chatting away (hoping not about me!). Here's what I haven't ever seen before in a nail place: you get your own little box that contains an emory board and some other stuff, it gets numbered and you get the corresponding card. It comes with the promise that it is only used for you. But it seemed that the actual metal tools (cuticle pusher, clippers, etc) were not put in the box. I'll have to go back a second time and pay more attention to what she actually takes from my box to use on my feet. I only got a pedicure today. Actually it was the deluxe pedicure for $27. I guess the difference between that and the regular pedicure (besides $7) would be the extra leg/foot massage time and the blue-green clay mixture. I'll get a regular pedicure next time to figure out the exact differences. Stay tuned... read more

I am not one of those girls who gets her nails done every week or two. In fact, this was only my second time ever (yes, ever) getting my nails done in a salon. So I am by no means an expert in this area, but I was more than satisfied with my experience at Dang Nails. (Although the first time we heard of it, my roommate and I were on the floor cracking up about the name.) We went with some friends during a bachelorette party and had manicures and pedicures - nothing special, even though my little nail lady tried her best to paint white flowers on my toes!! They have the big massage chairs and whirlpool tubs for pedicures and everything seemed to be very clean ans sterilized. They use OPI polish, among other things, so we were happy. The nail ladies were very quick but they did a great job on both of us. And to top it off, my total was under $30! It was way out of the way for us since we live in Buckhead, but it's a great deal for those who live in the area. read more

Not sure how their nails are, but don't go for eyebrow waxing. I gave her clear instructions, and did NOT get what I asked for. I naturally have a thick square eyebrow shape, but after today's visit, I basically have McDonald's arches for brows. The pricing is incredibly inexpensive. The salon is very clean and there are quite a few employees here so I had no wait. everyone was friendly and my specific tech did such a great job. She is very gentle, but still doing amazingly. Some places are really rough with my feet, and I'm very ticklish, so she's did a great job not making me cry with laughter. Also my toe nails are kind of messed up on my littlest toe, and she made them look and feel normal again. I should have trusted my better judgement and waited. My cuticles were all bleeding, I had a puncture in one of my fingers from the drill. They were so thick they started separating from my nails almost immediately. I received a text request for feedback right after I left and I have had zero response about it. I stopped in on a Saturday evening with some friends to get a basic manicure. I hadn't had one in years so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I didn't have to wait at all despite being a walk-in, and there were a lot of employees working. My nail tech did a great job and was very quick and gentle. After many years of using this business and referring others , I am reporting that I will no longer do either. I was impressed with the safety measures they have installed. The woman doing my pedicure was totally incompetent. When I asked her to cut the toenails shorter she called the manager who refused. I know my own nails and what length they need to be. If I didn't need them cut I would not have come. The employee was either too lazy or just incompetent. They are not the only show in town. I will not return. read more

My first time at Dang Nail was today, I went in and asked how much a pedicure, to have my acrylic nails remove and to get french tips on my nails, he told me it would be 20 for my feet and 15 for my nails, we proceed and I decided to do gel nails which was $10 extra. I ended up not getting the pedicure because I ran out of time, I was still charged $45!!! I told him I didn't get the pedicure and he said it was still $45! $8 to take the acrylic nails off and $37 for my nails which wasn't done too well either. They don't have any of their prices posted to call them on, I wouldn't suggest this nail shop to anyone they are liars, I will never be back there. read more

Definitely was not a good experience, got mani-pedi. It felt as though the girl was not crazy about doing her job, did not offer anything, turn massage chair on, buff my nails or any extra services. Giving this place 1 star is being generous to say the least, why is it so hard to find anyone that can do a good mani-pedi for men? Tech had an attitude about it taking him tooooo long to get off my sparkle polish! He came across as not friendly, customer service oriented, or wanting to please or her to know his clients. I think he just wanted to rush through my refill as fast as he could! Their prices aren't posted, which IS frustrating! My refill, file I down and two designs cost $25. That's a lot more than I pay in Denver, but I guess if people here pay it, then the prices won't go down!? The store isn't very clean, with lots of dust collecting on the TVs. read more

Went in for a gel manicure and it only lasted 4 days. Went back, two days later the polish started to come off again. Sad because when Travis who used to work there was doing my nails this never happened. Unfortunately he left. I basically went to Luxury nails down the street and got it done right. I have been going to Dang Nails since 2004. I have noticed a big change in the atmosphere in the salon. Though I don't go to have my nails done regularly in the last few yes years, I'm surprised each time that they act like they don't even know me. I tip well and have always been nice to them, though I have not gotten the same response from them. Today I took my granddaughter in to get a manicure and a rainbow painted on her nails. The attendant didn't even smile at my 6 year old and acted like it was a bother to do her nails. The rainbow didn't even look like a rainbow, just 3 strokes of a color across the top of her nails. The manager who did my nails stopped in the middle because he said I was too sensitive to the rotary though I told him I had never had an issue with the rotary being too hot on my nails. He was so rude when he said, " I'm not going to hurt you. I will never go back there again. It was a Saturday and hardly no one was in there, so lm sure I'm not the only one with a complaint. I have been two times. The first time was good. My nails lasted quite some time and my experience was decent. The second time I went, there was a woman who had sensitive skin and was asking not to have to soak her hands because it would irritate her skin, but rather have her fingers wrapped in foil at the tips. I couldn't believe the nasty treatment she received! The man literally told her to get out and he also told the woman who stuck up for her to do the same. I watched in awe.
