These boots with retractable ice cleats fit fabulously! They have really changed my life! Whereas I used to be scared and apprehensive every time I had to go walking across the parking lot from my car across snow-covered or icy roads - I was terrified! Now I have a level of confidence and freedom from fear that I never had before so thank you! These boots are amazing! Not only have they improved my life as far as safety is concerned, I get remarks about how stylish they are all the time! And the customer service was amazing. I had an issue regarding the delivery of my boots and I placed a phone call and received a call back the very same day. Customer service for this company rocks! This danform shoes is larger than the one in colchester and Burlington. There is a bargain basement downstairs where you can find kids, men, and women shoes for 50-80% off. The size shown is all they have though. There is also a small apparel and jewelry clearance downstairs as well. The shoes here are expensive. They range from $60-300. The quality of the shoes are great though! You definitely pay for the quality! read more

This is the best shoe store in the area from what I found. Great service. Great selecting. Knowledgeable staff. Patient. Actually helped me. Not like other stores where you go through the boxes and try them in yourself. Which really seems lame. I just moved back to Vermont after four years in LA. So I barely have anything to wear for winter in snow and cold. I got amazing winter boot today for heavy use. Going back tomorrow to get more kinds for different uses warm dry feet are a must in Vermont and finding store with great help. Good prices. Variety of styles. The store was bustling today. Wow the prices are sky high!!! I came in looking for a pair of boots and thought this would be a good place to go. I was looking to spend hopefully under $100 and they sent me downstairs to their clearance room. Like with most clearance rooms, everything was picked over well. My size was barely there (size 9-10) for boots. The lady downstairs was sweet but the upstairs staff seemed very disinterested in me once I said my price range. I didn't even get a thank you for stopping by or anything on my way out. Very disappointed. I won't return. read more

They sold me on a guarantee with the fact that by paying extra 40.00 dollars, compared to online, you are supporting a local business. I was told if there was anything wrong with them in a years time that I could get me shoes. I explained that I am very hard on my shoes and discussed to make sure that I would comply with the warranty. They said no problem. Four months later my KEEN's were falling apart. (KEEN's quality has gone down in the last few years)....so I brought them in to the Shelburne Road location. One woman thought I was lying to her! That their was no way that I could have bought them four months ago. The ended up not being able to read the manufactures numbers on my boots and said I will have to "take it up" with Keen. For Christmas I received a Frye boots gift card. The closest Frye store is in Boston, so I stopped by this store, which I have shopped at often in the past, to ask for help in fitting boots and to see if they would honor the card as a Frye dealer. The sales rep I spoke to told me that she was philosophically opposed to helping me knowing that she would not get a sale out of spending her time with me-- even though the store was quite quiet, and even though she admitted they do not run on commission. She told me I was welcome to try another sales rep, but she would not assist me. Not only was this a poor decision as it relates to customer service-- my shopping partner was also shopping for shoes for work, and we took his business to Lenny's Shoe and Apparel, where they were quite happy to have his business. He purchased a very expensive pair of shoes from them. Not only did she lose Danform that sale, but her choice to provide bad customer service on this day lost 2 customers. We won't return. I was very disappointed in this experience, and specifically her attitude that I was a waste of her time. read more

Just go and feel like a queen for a few hours. Danform shoes is an amazing local company that I would highly recommend to anyone with a number of locations. This store on Shelburne Road is particularly phenomenal. I have been twice, and both times I have had an incredible experience with their customer service! Today, the manager, Sean Bailey personally measured my feet, asked me what I was looking for, brought out a variety of shoes to try on, and gave excellent advice on them all. He even stayed late to make sure I had the best fit for my new job! I always feel like royalty when I go and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this store to anyone looking for anything from business casual to sandals to birks to mucking shoes. They have it all. I rarely do these reviews, but this store, particularly an employee named, John, had such great customer service, that I had to! My boyfriend and I went and bought three pairs of shoes. I bought a pair of Danskos and had to return them twice because once I got to work and tried them, I would realize they were too small (I think it had to do with a temperature/feet swelling thing. John helped us all three times and was super patient and eager to help me find a pair that were comfortable. It was really a great experience and I would definitely go again! read more
