This place was small and definitely does more takeout than dine in. There's no bathroom, so that's hard when you have kids. The food was okay. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was a bit dry for my liking. You can tell the place has been around forever, but they could have cleaned the door and spruced up a bit. Online ordering was easy. Food was ready on time. Unfortunately it was the worst pizza I've ever had. Soggy crust, flavorless sauce and greasy cheese. Even average pizza is usually satisfying, but it is sadly really bad. We went in for a slice of pizza after visiting the park like we have done in the past. Upon entering with my 5 year old son who was really looking forward to the pizza all morning. We were greeted with someone at the counter who said great couldn't serve us one slice but was trying to force us to pay $11 for a small pizza. Now I'm not a pizza guy and my 5 year old won't eat a small pizza. However he wouldn't assist us and my son left the shop in tears because he was hungry and they're are not many places near the park for food when your walking. read more

I was in the Hanson area visiting my sister, and my family and I were starving and looking for a quick and easy takeout option nearby. I had driven by Dandy Café a few different times, and I loved the sign outside and how cute, quaint, and adorable it looked. When I looked up their menu online I was so surprised at how many offerings they had for such a small place. We were starving and didn't really know what to order so we ordered a sandwich, a pizza, a salad, and a pasta dish, so across-the-board. We all decided to share. For those items I believe we spent about $50. I was surprised I just how quickly everything was processed. I think they said all of that would be ready in 15 minutes. It was ready when I got there. Everything was quick and easy. I called ahead, got there about 20 minutes later, paid with my credit card and was out. Parking is sparse but available in their lot. Located right off of a main road. The food was pretty good. My sister enjoyed the pasta, we enjoyed the pizza that night and the next day, my salad was OK, and my father sandwich was good. No complaints. This is definitely a great option for takeout. I didn't see too many tables inside so I'm not sure about the in-house dining situation. Here's the deal. I have a choice of 4 or 5 pizza shops within 10 minutes of my house. I decided to "support" local and today I went with Dandy's. After looking at an old menu, I went online to get prices. I called for a pick up order (again only minutes from my house). I got the order and the price including anticipated tax was several dollars more than I had calculated. Repeat, this is a pickup, not a delivery. when I asked the cashier for a menu, she stated it was old and not updated. OK, but your online menu is still advertising cheaper prices. Her answer, "we know". So is this classified as fraud, false advertising, under reported income or screw the customer. Ain't gonna happen twice. Sorry guys, this isn't the first time. Dandy's great. I try to give honest reviews and not just shine over flaws, but Dandy has great food, good prices with quick friendly service. I tried pick-up and delivery and typically the food is ready or delivered quicker then quoted. It's not much for seating or dining in. There is counter seating and you order at the take out counter. Unless it a quick lunch, I would suggest take out here. But it will be good!!! Try the hand battered chicken tenders. The Bourbon Sauce and Garlic Parm versions of the delicious fingers are wonderful. read more

We've got family in Carver who have ordered Dandy Cafe for us two or three times, and while it's not exactly creative fare, it's tasty and it arrives quickly- more than I can say for 90% of the pizza joints on the South Shore! Their calzones are pretty good, pizza is fair to good, and so far, the weak point has been in their sandwiches... I ordered an eggplant parm sub recently, and it tasted like it came out of a really dirty frier. To be fair, it was a game day, so I'm sure they were slammed and probably didn't realize or have time to change the oil or something. Overall, tho, the food is pretty good, and fast delivery service is always appreciated! read more

We have been going here for the last couple of years and the main problem is consistency. You can order the same thing on different days and it's never the same quality. Tonight our burgers we ordered cooked med were well done and the burgers were paper thin and dry. Not at all the same burgers we have got before. Most time we get the boneless Buffalo chicken and at least half the time the chicken is not completely coated in sauce sometimes only one side is. We have also got calzones multiple times and they are not always the same. Very hot or miss on quality and consistency. There say are not many choices around us in carver. read more

My brother ordered a calzone twice and got a small pizza nothing that he ordered. We won't be back again this is 3 or 4 times straight with messed up orders. They have pretty good food, but they really need to stay out of the pizza and calzone business. I ordered a meat lovers calzone and wow was it awful. It was burned, and it didn't have much of anything in it. The pizza isn't bad, bit it's not as good as the Greek places in town. Georgios and Santoros will always be my pizza and Calzone spots. This place is GREAT!!!! The food is outstanding. I can't believe the place is not bigger than what it is. The Pizza is the best around and at a good price. We had subs tonight and they are awesome. Even the containers they use for take out are great. They don't use paper. They use Styrofoam and plastic containers so nothing gets squished. I love this place. read more

The cook was either smoking in the kitchen or someone was smoking right outside with the door open - the cigarette smell was very strong from the kitchen area. There were flies everywhere inside - don't order the pizza slices from the counter, they were covered in flies! Dandy has the best chicken tenders around. Huge tenderloins come with your choice of sauce. Sweet chili is our favorite paired with Apple walnut and goat cheese salad. Pizza is great but ask for crispy if you like toppings. Otherwise, it can be sloppy. Louisiana pasta is a tasty dish but has very little chicken and sausage. Otherwise, it has great flavor and is a huge portion. Service is friendly. Order is ready in a timely fashion. read more
