When he came to look at our job he advised us the tree in our front yard would be a problem when the city inspector came out to give his approval to our permit and power upgrade. We were able to cut the tree back before any trouble from the city inspector could come about. Electrician that came installed a bootleg ground/false ground in the gfci outlet, and when we tested the gfci it wouldn't trip/test, but the outlet tester was showing it was correct. Because it wasn't testing I opened the outlet up to see what he did and found the Bootleg/false ground. Prior to the electrician working on it the gfci was working correctly and testing, but had an open ground on the tester, despite the ground wire being in the wall. So we wanted a single properly installed grounded outlet. I had seen the younger electrician do the same thing in the kitchen to another outlet and when i mentioned it to the "master" electrician that was here he caught an attitude with me and tried to talk down to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Then he does the exact same thing to the other outlet after talking down to me. I have had multiple electricians in other states install grounded outlets for my homes and not one of them installed a bootleg ground. Who does bullshit work-around work like that? Sleazy little low life electric companies in small towns. Bootleg grounds are actually illegal. No legitimate electrician would ever do such a thing nor would the owners of that company be ok with that.

I told him I have an elderly lady and young children, he said he told me the story that the warranty company said it was OK if he came out in a week, but they never gave him approval for 3 weeks. Then he hung up on me. Clearly, he didn't want a lawsuit knowing that it's 92 degrees I my house. I will be reporting this business.

Bad. They contracted our apt building. One stole from another tenet on first day. Also, the first…read moreday they got in a hurry and crossed wires. Or put them in wrong. When AEP turned electricity back on sparks flew. Could've caught fire. Big time. And, it was after 9:00 at night. So, dark and cold. Second time, I have no lights in kitchen, no microwave or toaster. The whole wall on inside has no electricity. That includes my fridge, my living room lights, and two of the three plugs in living room. I lost over $400+ worth of food. Apt mgr called them several times, but they never answered. It was around 4:15 in afternoon, on Fri. It's Sat, still no word about them coming to fix. Still no fridge or lights in kitchen. Lots of extension cords in living room. Wow. Now it's Sunday. Still no fridge, lights, microwave, toaster, etc... Ok. Monday. Still no L&M. Ok. 10:18a.m. I have everything back on by 10:42 a.m. But wait!! Even though it is their incompetence or just pure laziness, I get nothing back to replace what I lost. Because I didn't take pictures. Sorry. Food was bad. A bit smelly. I trashed it. I guess they can go dumpster diving if they want. But they won't. I am going to post this on FB. In so many rooms and chats. And make sure anyone that asks me knows how they are. I work in hardware and give recommendations for nobies and diy folk and contractors.
