Just got my first cut at Danckuts, and I'm super happy with it. I found them on Instagram a while back, but they didn't have a location near me. When they opened in Ladera, I was excited to check them out. Zac cut my hair a week or so ago and did a great job. He was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. In fact, I think Zac told me more about haircutting and styling in one appointment than I've heard in all my other haircuts combined (where they just cut my hair however I say without offering any professional advice). I also love how they use tech - you can book online and they keep info on your haircuts attached to your account, so any stylist will know what they did last time. That's pretty great. I have been going to Danckuts for a few years now and can honestly say that I am truly satisfied after every haircut. The staff is always friendly, provide good recommendations, and can always produce the exact haircut I envision before getting a cut. They take pictures of your haircut to ensure anyone cutting your hair in the future can match your previous cut. They also write down what they did on each part of your head to further ensure the same cut. So glad these guys have a shop in Ladera now, I've been getting my hair cut at their other locations in Irvine and Laguna for the past 5 years and after stopping by last week I'll be coming here exclusively. This place is clean, professional and the staff and owner are super friendly. The way their system works makes getting a consistent haircut really easy because they have an iPad at each station where they track the cut that you got and they take photos so that you don't have to start from scratch when you come back if you get your hair cut by a new person. Great place, but I encourage you to schedule something ahead of time on the website or by giving them a call, because they will get busy and if you try to do a walk in you might end up having to wait. read more

After searching for a new barber for the last 6 months, I have finally landed my forever spot again after moving down to south OC. During my initial haircut, I noticed every little action that Zac made that showed he was truly paying attention to matching the haircut that I had asked for. I have been going to Danckuts for a couple years now. I love the concept that allows them to deliver a consistently great cut every time no matter who is cutting your hair. It is also great to not have to explain what you want done on each visit. If you want everything done exactly as it was done the last time they have all the information and photos to make that happen. If you want something new they are happy to work with you on that as well. They can even look up any changes you have made in the past if you want to go back to a prior style. Ok so I'm not one to write reviews but in this case had to make an exception. I've been cutting my own hair since high school. Not sure if it was some phobia of mine or just never made the time to go. Anyways after 40 plus years of taking the shears to my own scalp my wife convinced me to check out Danckuts. The name itself was so cool I couldn't say no. Booked an appointment that day and was in by 2:00 PM. Walked into the place and was immediately taken back by the cool swanklike atmosphere. As an Architect, I noticed the finesse that went into the space. I never expected to see that in a men's hair shop. I was greeted by Zac the owner who made me feel comfortable immediately, even offered me a beer on tap. I have to say I was fairly nervous about doing this. After years of controlling my own coif, I couldn't imagine what I'd look like walking out. Zac walked me through their process and Danckuts plans for revolutionizing the hair cutting industry - very cool and watch out competition. I explained my situation and what I wasn't looking to do - walk out with a crazy new hairstyle. He heard me, worked with me and in the end gave me a haircut that I couldn't have been more pleased with, especially when I got home and my wife said how great it looked.
