I went to Dancetrinity a couple of times last summer after browsing Groupon and seeing a good deal for it. Their website looked very professional and I really liked that they had a range of classes to choose from, and that they're on a walk-in basis - i.e., no need to book prior to coming. I did Zumba and a class called 'fit2fite' there, and I really enjoyed both of them. The center itself isn't very big - there are fore dance rooms separated by a partition which is lifted up during larger classes to create one big space. There are clean toilets and a shower for you to use, though there are only two toilets which kind of is a problem when class ends and everybody wants to change out of their sweat-soaked clothes. The instructors there are all very nice and encouraging too.
I don't have any dance experience except doing ballet for a few years when I was a kid, so I really have no skill in dancing at all. Luckily, the Zumba classes were quite forgiving towards this and the moves were generally easy enough to follow but still break you out in a sweat. There were some where the beat was a little fast for me to master all the moves, but on a whole I didn't think they were too difficult even for someone with zero experience. Fit2fite is a fitness class with martial arts elements and it was so much more intense than I thought it would be. For the first fifty minutes we did a series of kicks and punches along with the music, and it doesn't sound like much, but it was. I didn't remember the last time I'd sweat this much! In the last part of the class we did a minute plank and some sit-ups and push-ups and that was pretty tough. I don't normally exercise so this was definitely a struggle, but overall the class was still fun! I didn't really like that because there was so many people in the lesson, the space was quite cramped (and the partition wasn't let up because there was a salsa class in the next room).
I would recommend anyone to come to Dancetrinity if you're looking for some dance or fitness classes. One great thing about it is that there are no sign-ups required, and you don't even have to make a booking beforehand - you literally just have to turn up! And the price of each lesson is $80 if you're under 21, which is a very good deal! read more
