Wow! This place has everything! On a busy Saturday I was a little nervous about getting two kids outfitted but we had a great experience! Tayla helped us and she was so sweet! She knew exactly what we needed and kept everything easy, fast and low stress. Several other employees checked on us and everyone was so helpful. The whole store was clean even the bathrooms. Despite their being a ton of merchandise it was all well organized and sectioned. If you're a dancer or have a dancer this is the place! read more

I had a pointe shoe emergency and their assistant manager, Heather Ruark saved me! She was incredibly generous with her time and fit me amazingly! I have gone there multiple times and been more and more impressed by them each time. Highly recommend for anybody, but especially their pointe shoe specialists are out of this world! Dropped off about 15 items to be embroidered 3 weeks ago, the embroiderer said 2 weeks, never heard from her, went in today to find out what was going on. She had partially done the order and said it would be another week before she could do the last 5 items. She said she had been "overwhelmed" by an order for 30 jackets that had come in. Needless to say I won't be taking the several hundred items i also need embroidered there. If you can't do 15 in 3 weeks, and 30 jackets overwhelm you I can't see getting anything done there. However the place is cute and they have some neat things for dancers. Back to my previous embroiderer in Roswell. read more

Overall, an incredible store. As far as girls/women's dance wear, I truly think that they've got it all: plain or intricate leotards, warm-up booties, skirts, colored hair pins, fascinators, headpieces; you name it, DanceMax has got it. This is also the only store I've been to that carries men's dance shoes in my size, the only store that carries leather AND canvas jazz shoes, and the only one with more than seven varieties of turning shoe/half-sole. The only area DanceMax lacks in is their mens wear department. I use department fairly loosely, because, at least on my most recent visit, they have one rack of mens wear. Yep. Shirts, tights, shorts, and pants, all on the same rack. And all in black, white, and the slightest selection of grey. read more

I love this store, it has a wide variety and extensive selection of dance wear to pick from. They have super fancy leotards, basic leotards and skirts, as well as shoes, tights, hair accessories, and dance bags. The staff there is incredible as well, they help with all the shoe fittngs. They also offer a discount if you're a company dancer that your whole family of dancers can enjoy as well. read more

DanceMax Dancewear is a wonderful dance store. The owner Lorna and her manager Bradley are VERY knowledgeable about the different items they carry. We knew them way back before DanceMax opened at another Dancewear place. My daughter was training at Atlanta Ballet for 5 years. A dance teacher there recommended them for pointe shoe fittings.They even special order. Bradley is very good at fittings,a very nice personality and all in all, very good at what she does. My daughter still orders from them and likes to visit when she is in town. They carry many lines of leotards,dance shoes and nice gifts for dancers. I have a 3 year old whose starting ballet. I was going to buy online because I thought it would be cheaper. I'm so happy I chose to stop at Dance Max 1st. The staff was well informed, professional and beyond helpful!! Turns out online would have cost me more and I wouldn't have gotten the correct size. I had heard great things about the owner and her staff and was anxious to patron this store with my daughter. Upon entering, we were not greeted, though there was only one other customer in the store. Three employees were at the counter helping this one customer (including the owner), yet we were not even acknowledged. We came to the store to purchase shoes and waited over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge our presence, a different worker that came from the back office. Thankfully my daughter knew exactly which shoes she needed and we didn't require any serious service. The inventory felt a little lackluster, especially in the adult sizes. Though this store is the closest dance supply store to my home, I will continue to take my business elsewhere. I felt the owner and her staff missed a great opportunity to offer some superb customer service skills and I will be sharing my experience with others. read more
