Took my first group barre class with RISE last weekend at a charity event, and was SO impressed!…read moreThe class was organized, well paced, and Ali & Jeannine brought great energy and were super motivating and encouraging. Can't wait to take another class-if you're looking for an awesome workout, this is definitely the place!

The studio itself is awesome! It is super clean and sleek, giving off a radiant vibe the moment you walk in. There are cubicles available in the back of the studio where customers can store their belongings during class. Don't have barre socks? RISE has you covered. They offer a handful of different colors for you to choose from and they are fairly inexpensive as well. Not to mention, they have an entire wall of adorable merchandise that can be purchased by the customers. Being my first barre class ever, I was SUPER nervous and had no idea what to expect. My anxiety was instantly relieved by the friendly staff and the welcoming customers taking the class. I was shocked at how kind these people were. Honestly, some of the nicest people I have ever met while taking a fitness class. The instructor who taught the previous class walked my friend and I through what equipment we needed and explained what barre was all about which was great since both of us had no idea what we were doing. Our instructor was wonderful as well, extremely motivating throughout the entire class, and corrected any movement that I was doing wrong which was super helpful. They play great music too which helps push you through the pain you may be experiencing as you go about the workout. I definitely left the studio feeling like I got a great workout in. I am so happy that I found this studio and will definitely be back very soon for more classes!

I can not rave enough about this studio and instructors!…read more First and foremost, everyone is lovely, helpful and welcoming. It can be intimidating to join a new gym but Linda and her staff made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. Secondly, the instruction is fantastic. I took the initial private trainings to prepare me for the group classes and it was great. The workout was targeted, explained wonderfully, and got me excited to start group classes. The group classes are small so the instructor is able to correct your form when needed but you still feel the energy from the other participants which make me want to go the extra mile. I'm so happy to have found Pilates by Linda. If you've ever wanted to try Pilates, this is a wonderful place to begin and continue your journey!

The equipment is top notch as they do have every piece Pilates has to offer not just the reformer as well as barre options. I'm not sure if other studios in the surrounding area offer this many options but I don't feel the need to check them out after choosing this location. Linda and her staff are friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable about their training so I feel more then comfortable in my sessions. They offer all types of packages so it was pretty easy to find one that fit my weekly schedule. Hands down, check out this studio! You will not be disappointed and your physical results will amaze you!

She has a talent for staffing as the entire fitness staff is engaged before, during and after each class, with no monkeying around. These instructors mean business. I am a motivated gym and running rat, but these folks make my other workouts seem subpar. The space is super clean with a great warm atmosphere. My wife loves the Barre classes. They partner with a local farmer's market in making organic juices. I haven't had one, but they look great and seem to fly off the shelf. We always leave feeling like we are part of the family(and beat up from the workout!). Can't say enough about the great energy and Alli's experience regarding fitness and health knowledge. We wish Chestnut Hill Cycle Fitness much success!

There is also plenty of street parking if you are worried about where to go. When you first enter it may feel like you are walking into the middle of the spin class but you are not. (I totally did for a second!) Just head downstairs to the reception and they will check you in. They have little inspirational quotes in the space and it has a great cozy feel. This was my first barre class ever and it was perfect for starters. Fun class with great music! There was only 2 of us and the instructor so it felt like a private session. It's a great workout and I'm sure tomorrow I will be feeling sore. Thanks for a great class, I will definitely be back!

Totally worth it, do yourself a favor and buy a Pilates Reformer package and just try it! Before I tried this studio: I only recently tried Pilates on the reformer while recovering from foot surgery (so I have some special needs as I rebuild muscle and get stronger). I had gone to 4 sessions at 2 other studios before this (in LA and Austin). I was liking how I could immediately start to feel the workouts tone my body, but was on the fence about how mentally engaging and motivating the sessions were (practically the same exact routine all four times), and its too expensive to be on the fence. Then I went to Faye's Art & Soul Yoga. Her classes are always a surprise because she has a slue of exercises and really mixes it up for a great full body work out - the hour flies by. I've only gone a few weeks but I haven't been to the same class twice. She plays motivating music which I found to be joyfully unique. She promotes yoga stretches in between so even though you SWEAR you'll be sore after the workout, you really aren't. And she is super sweet to boot. I wish she could move with me out to Seattle because I don't know how I'm going to find a studio I like as much as Art & Soul Yoga :(
