This academy has exceptional, experienced teachers who love to teach and foster the talent of their students. The owner Debora, who is truly one of the most passionate and dedicated women I ever met, is the heart of this academy: light-hearted, funny, energetic, always in a good mood and striving for perfection. She gives so much LOVE and you feel being part of the family. She is also my piano teacher - I am 39 and started to play piano around 4,5 yrs ago! :) They have several recitals and concerts per year in big locations here in Miami and everything is very professional and well organized. The new location in South Miami is spacious and modern, lots of rooms w pianos (even a grand piano) and other instruments, two ballet halls with special ballet floor and of course a band room. The academy covers literally EVERYTHING in arts, from learning instruments like piano, guitar, violin, drums, singing classes or musical production, sound recording, band etc to ballet, flamenco, cuban dance and more as well as visual arts painting, drawing, mummy and me courses and much much more.... Parking is right in front or behind of the building (always available). They also have a well equipped waiting room for parents w a TV and toys and homework desks for siblings. My daughters loved attending and made lots of friends. There IS a lot of emphasis on the annual show, but that's what the majority of parents wanted. Moms camped out (including me) to get the best seats as soon as tickets went on sale. The complainers have no idea what it takes, or the costs to put on a huge production. The shows were very professional, though long due to the number of participants. I did think the costumes were pricey BUT you have to realize they needed to find the costume companies with a big size selection as you would see they needed 20 or sometimes more of the same costumes to fit kids of all (and I mean ALL) sizes. Ms Rose also put a lot of thought into finding costumes that fit each group and embarrassed none of the dancers. And with so many kids participating, no one really wants to see your kids for more than 3 minutes or the show would go on forever. If disappointed by your kid's short performance, you could just sign them up for 2 classes next time or buy the video and watch them perform over and over. The instructors are great and I was always amazed at how professional the choreography looked. My only complaint was in the last year I had to pull my daughters out after their dance act to catch a flight. Ms. Rose runs a very tight ship and originally said no, until I showed her our plane tickets. Then of course she was reasonable. The wait backstage for the kids on performance day was long, but they got treats and were well supervised and were with their friends, and a wait backstage is truly just part of a dancer's life. It taught discipline and was only once a year. My kids were lucky to have such an experience and have even seen some of their teachers on So You Think You Can Dance. And if your kids stick with it for 5 years, they get a very nice trophy.

I went with my granddaughter to see the studio and met with Janice who was very welcoming and informative; a real pleasure to deal with. I then followed up with a phone call to start my granddaughter in their Saturday summer program and was blessed to deal with Ruth. She helped me set up an account to pay and enroll my granddaughter and welcomed us to the Armour Dance family. This past Saturday my daughter took my granddaughter for the first class with Ms. Rachel, the teacher for that age group, and was extremely pleased with her and her manner of teaching. I was able to view some videos my daughter took, and as a previous ballet student and teacher, was extremely impressed with her teaching and her interactions with the students. I have enrolled my granddaughter for their upcoming school year ballet classes, highly recommend this studio and feel fortunate to have found them.

This fall my daughter will be going away to school, which led us to observe ballet programs at her new school, all of which fared poorly in comparison to TAYB. It is honestly great. The school puts on such a great production. The owners of the studio are so kind hearted. They great you with a friendly smile all the time. They offer an abundance of classes. I don't know anything about what they charge but one piece of advice I could give you is, always put it on a credit card (not debit) if you need to dispute an unwarranted charge. Actual review: I've been to this Youfit before and remember it completely different. What used to be packed and waiting for gym equipment is almost non existent now. It could be because of the time of day and the actual day. I went and did a three day pass on Sunday at 1 pm for reference. I was able to work out on the cable machines and free weights without any issues. Although I am used to going to smaller gyms because of the crowds, I was able to do everything I wanted and then some without bother. Same thing goes for today (Tuesday) at 2 pm, where I had no issues using any gym equipment. Bathrooms are well kept (to my standards) and they have AstroTurf with a heavy bag for those that box. I've been working out since 2019 and it doesn't bother me when there are handles and miscellaneous dumbbells on the floor. You're going to find that everywhere you go. Place more importance on getting in, doing your workout and getting out for a convenient price and location, while still staying conscious of price. Would I go here again? Yes.

I chose this location because of its proximity to my home and what looked like a decent selection of equipment, especially stair machines, which are key to my workouts. But once I became a member, the reality was a completely different story. Let's start with the equipment: The stair machines are constantly broken. During busy hours, you are lucky if even half of them are working, and good luck getting a turn. They only have a couple of rowing machines, and one of them has been missing both foot straps for months. Still not fixed. Yes, they have four squat racks and two Smith machines, which is actually pretty good for a gym, but they barely have enough weights to actually use them. I have had to walk around looking for plates or literally take turns using the same weights with the person on the rack next to me. Facility issues? Plenty: The water fountain has been dispensing warm water since I started my membership, and it still has not been fixed. The bathroom sink water has been boiling hot and unusable, and despite telling the staff multiple times, it was ignored for weeks. And then there is the staff. Not all of them, but most of the ones I have dealt with have been careless at best and rude or aggressive at worst. I have submitted multiple complaints about the gym in person, over the phone, through email, and even via feedback surveys, and not once have I received a response. Not one. To cancel my membership, I had to wait 40 minutes on the phone, only to be passed along to the accounting department, who were predictably rude and completely unwilling to work with me. It felt like they could not wait to get me off the phone. Also, a quick note about the photos here on Yelp -- I am not sure where they were taken, but most of them definitely do not reflect what this gym actually looks like. It is not that clean, organized, or nice in real life. There are many other details I could include, like the fact their online portal doesn't work; you create an account but cannot use it for anything because the portal isn't working. They also don't change the clocks on the wall for daylight saving time, organize any of the equipment throughout the day, etc etc etc..... I just wanted to at least give a taste of some of the issues going on. This gym talks a big game during the tour, promising well-maintained equipment, responsive staff, and a good environment, but once you sign up, you are on your own. The maintenance is poor, the service is worse, and the overall experience has been a huge disappointment. If you are looking for a gym in Miami, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
