I played ZogSports volleyball for two seasons and thought the games were generally well organized…read more I enjoyed having a weekly game to look forward to, and it was a good amount of exercise and socializing. My team even got friendly enough to hit up a bar on occasion after a game and most of my original team even came to my birthday party. In the second season that I played, the organizers were starting to have some issues with facilities and also one game during which the referee didn't show. However they were otherwise quite professional. The locations tend to have convenient parking and the hours for games are reasonable. I was hoping to switch to their newly formed Sunday leagues but the most recent season of that got cancelled due to low enrollment. At this point I am looking into switching to a different sport or a local league by a different organization, but I'm glad I got my start here!

Occasionally you will have a couple of people who come into this league knowing how to play volleyball but are there anyways for an ego boost. If you are new to volleyball, read here. Yes, this league may be a good starting point as it's very beginner-level play, it's good for work teams and meeting new people. But you won't want to be here for long. There are the occasional try-hards that will come into the league to feel good about themselves by hitting hard and running plays on a net that's lower than women's height. Another downside is that some of these players think they can play but in fact they are very dangerous and make it very unsafe. Landing under the net and causing ankle sprains when you block is very common here. So play smart, watch out for others. If you have some volleyball experience and understand the game, read here. This league is very poorly run. You have one ref that does not understand the rules of volleyball. No calls are made, clear doubles where the ball is spiraling, crazy players who jump and land under the net, and players touching the net and lifts. You call your own lines, so in and out calls are all on you and the other team. The ref literally is there to just blow the whistle for serve and then flip the score. They dont even have anyone setting up the nets for you as well, so you need to set it up yourself. The net is literally lower than womens height. So if you're here playing with some new friends who are learning to play, have some integrity to play to the level of others and be safe. I played in this league before it became Zog (Dynamic sports) id say it has changed but not for the better. Same stuff as it was 5-6 years ago. If you are looking for some better play there are other leagues out there. Campbell Community center used to have a good one they may or may not still be running. Then there's IVL if you're looking for competitive play. Zog by far is the most expensive league and the total amount of games you play in the season is less than all these other leagues I mentioned. So if you're factoring bang for your buck. Zog is definitely not that.

I see the time & effort the coaches put into my son, therefore my son reciprocates and is able to deliver in a game. So far, I've seen nothing but progress/growth in my son & I can only hope he continues to get better. Team bonding is also a big one for Coach Dre, last season we went to a local food bank as a team & gave back to our community. It was great a great experience. To the coaching staff, Thank you for your time & patience. Not only is this a wonderful place to train, the gym is fully equipped with a banquet room in the back portion of the facility so you're able to rent out the whole gym & throw a party! There's a full fridge, sink, 4 big tables & about 20 chairs. There's also an area where I was able to put a balloon arch for photos & a couch and more tables, so it can accommodate a big party. There's a speaker system that you can connect to & play your play list while the kids play basketball. I appreciate the nice clean restroom for my guests. I recently just rented the facility & threw my son his 12th birthday: 3 point shooting contest, 3 on 3, Knock Out, food, cake, and lots of laughs!! He had the best time ballin' with his friends. I highly recommend everything about this place. Thanks for everything Coach Dre!

Are you young, new to the city, and like meeting new people?…read more Then WAKA Kickball is for you! I've been playing for 5 years now. There are several days you can play, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. Each Day of the week has a different vibe and level of competition. I mainly play on Sundays which is a little less competitive than other days. And it gives me enough time to recover. After the games we head to our sponsor bar to hang out, drink, and play flip cup. There are usually 2-3 parties that happen every season as well. I've made some of my best friends playing kickball. You should too!

Really fun and really great way to meet new people in a new city (or when you want to make new…read morefriends in the city you've lived in for awhile). Every league is different, so it's worth trying a few if you don't like the first one you are in. The kickball is fun but it works really well when paired with the drinking games after. The most important thing is to find a league where the post-game bar is on a night where you can afford to drink and is easy to get home from (i.e. no driving necessary). A good post-game means it doesn't matter whether you are on a team that loses every game. There is a mix of players and some have played for a few years and understand the strategies and have experience, while others are just starting out. Signing up as a free agent is pretty random, so you can get placed on a completely new team or as filling out an established squad. Most people are generally friendly and welcoming (beer does that to you).

Stream Valley Volleyball was a complete disappointment from start to finish. There was zero…read moreconsistency, zero communication, and zero structure. Coaches rotated constantly, players were shuffled around, and no one ever seemed to know what was happening from week to week. They claim to prepare kids for competitive play, but it was the exact opposite. Instead of developing athletes, they left them confused, unsupported, and unmotivated -- no feedback, no progress, and no real coaching. The final straw was being offered a team spot, only for them to later decide my daughter "wasn't ready for the competitive environment." That's not a reflection on her -- it's a direct result of their disorganization and lack of coaching consistency. My daughter went on to make another competitive team with no issue whatsoever. Stream Valley desperately needs to fix its communication, structure, and accountability before calling itself "competitive."

My daughter was bounced between multiple coaches, each running things differently with no structure or progression. Every week was the same beginner drills and no gameplay practice. By week eight, she barely knew the court zones and still had no idea about positions or their roles. Communication was awful, and players who were ready to advance were held back. Coach Alex and Coach David did their best when they were finally brought in, but it was too little, too late. Save your money and find a program that actually teaches volleyball.
