    Ask the Community - ZogSports

Can I stop by to observe any of the indoor games?

Yes that would be possible. If you could email me directly at Nick@zogsportssf.com and let me know what specific league you'd like to observe I can give you the details. If you don't have a league in mind just let me know what…

    How long is a season?

Hey there! A season is typically 8 weeks long with 7 weeks dedicated to the regular season and 1 for the playoffs. Please email me back at Nick@ZogSportssf.com if you have any additional questions.

Hi, what level of play would you say the Zog soccer leagues are? Rec, intermediate, competitive, a mix of all or...?

Hey! We have a good mix of all leagues levels depending on what league you register for. We do our best to match teams in the correct levels each season so everyone has the best chance to enjoy the season. Did you know what day would typically work…

What days do they have open gym for volleyball?

Hey Josue, our goal is to create community and we do that by running organized league play, instead of open gyms. If you'd like to join a team where you can create real connections throughout the season, check out…

The gym is consistently overcrowded, multiple machines are ALWAYS broken or out of service, and the sanitizing wipe stations are regularly empty, which is especially frustrating and unsanitary when you're expected to clean equipment after use. My cancellation experience was the final straw. I went into the gym to cancel and was told I had to submit the request by email, which I did immediately while I was there. My autopay processed before my cancellation was handled. I asked whether they could make a one-time exception and refund that payment given that I had already initiated the cancellation before the charge went through. Alyssa, the Operations Manager, called me regarding the issue and refused to make any exception and just blamed the old manager for the situation of the gym. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt completely lacking in customer service.

Really disappointing experience at Bay Padel's glow-in-the-dark event…read more The event was clearly overbooked to a ridiculous degree. We arrived just after the recommended regular arrival time expecting to actually play, only to be told that the earliest available time was roughly two hours later, while pickleball had a wait of around four hours. For a paid, ticketed event costing $80+, that's completely unacceptable. If you're selling tickets, there should be some reasonable relationship between the number of people admitted and the actual capacity of the courts and venue. We waited around for about half an hour but ultimately left without playing anything and without even getting a drink. The most frustrating part is that none of this was communicated beforehand. Had we known that buying a ticket effectively meant standing around for hours hoping to get a court, we never would have gone. It felt less like a properly organized event and more like they simply sold as many tickets as possible without much regard for whether attendees could actually participate. Extremely poor planning and a terrible customer experience.

Amazing staff--very kind and helpful, they're personable and help me when I need a specific court or want to book something or need my rackets restrung. They know my name and are very thoughtful--always with a smile. Shoutout to club manager Jake Stafford and tennis racket stringer Gary Bender. I love them and the front desk staff and cleaning crew--everyone is very friendly, helpful, understanding, and accommodating. Multiple times, I have booked courts and had to cancel (or mixed up my court times) and they've helped remedy the situation. Facilities are very nice--I love the pool, hot tub, locker rooms, and courts. The lights are good for night playing and there's some nice seating by the pickleball courts. The views are so good--I love seeing high rises and the Bay and Salesforce Tower looming behind over the club. I love the app for booking courts (and also book classes at Bay Club SF which is further down along the Embarcadero.) Gateway also has a few classes (like a weekly yoga on the grass.) Location is very convenient near downtown and the financial district. It's served by multiple Muni lines and BART and Muni Metro, and there's street parking and a small lot too! My one nit--I miss when there was more workout equipment and more socials and classes! I wish more people went to drop-in pickleball.
