My only complaint has been a lack of organization from a paperwork standpoint ...but my kids have a great time there, the recitals are fun and the recital costumes are always VERY cute (and affordable).

Refusing to try. Petrified, really. It was frustrating and embarrassing enough to be "that family" but to make things worse, both teachers completely ignored us rather than coming up and talking to us, taking her hand, trying to engage her (even briefly), or just saying to me like, "It's OK. This has happened before." SOMETHING. We were the elephants in the room. Sad, sad elephants. My daughter and I talked about it the entire week following and I thought she was ready to give it another try the next Tuesday but just before class she had another tearful meltdown saying that she didn't want to go. I didn't have it in me that particular day to put either one of us through what we'd experienced week one, so we went home. I emailed the studio (twice) and sent a facebook message to see if we could get a refund or credit since she's clearly not ready and they weren't doing anything to make her feel any more at ease. I have gotten zero replies. I would expect at least an "I'm sorry it was difficult, here are some things we can try next week..." type of response if they have a strict no refund policy but we didn't get even that. So, we're out well over $100 (with the class, clothes, and shoes) and we won't go back there in 6 months when she is maybe ready because it's quite frankly, really bad business to not help a child/parent get through this if you won't do a refund, and really bad customer service to not even reply to emails/facebook messages. Three of them now. I'm in the business of customer service. This is not how you make longtime loyal clients. You treat them right and they will come back and they will tell all of their friends. Disheartening. I hope the $60 I lost is used to do a customer service training session/best business practice webinar. It's needed... :(

My daughter really feels at home here. These things are more important to her than the quality of ballet training that she is receiving, which is top notch. She doesn't have plans for a professional dance career but I like knowing that Heartland Conservatory of Dance would set her on that path if she chose to. Great idea, poor execution with our son's class…read more We signed our super excited 6 year old son for a 6 week hip hop class here. He has been taking Jazz, tap & ballet for the last 3 years. On the 1st day it became an issue with the instructor that we as his parents wanted to see how the class was instructed. The observation room offers a very restricted view of the dance floor and being his 1st time there, we sat in the corner of the dance floor area. This seemed to bother the instructor so much that the class was disrupted with a visit to the owner to get us to move. Even being told that "banter between the parent and child is a distraction". Though resolved by the owner who understood, we were left with a less than ideal 1st impression. We continued to bring our son because he loves hip hop and there are limited resources in the Omaha area. Unfortunately, almost every class was led by a different instructor which is not the best environment for children. We will be looking for a more consistent environment to continue our sons hip hop dance education :) Hopefully Youtube will not be the only alternative. On a side note, the studio looks great!

I like the adult choreography class, the workshops they offer over the summer and the break dance class. The studio is a very funky and cool space, it has graffiti all over the walls. The teachers are knowledgeable about the style they instruct. The have adult classes which is hard to find in the Omaha area. They also are active in the flash mob dances around Omaha. That is a really neat event to participate in. I think overall the atmosphere is pure hip hop dance. Great for kids and adult classes.

Good dance studio gone mediocre…read more They have a great ballet program but it has been overwhelmed by lots of competition stuff, belly dancing and zumba classes. If you take the conservatory program you have access to good teachers and classes, but if you don't take all the different classes to do the conservatory program (they make you take modern but only 3 ballet? silly) then you are out of luck. It started out good, but seems to be a money making machine. The best part is that there is a professional ballet company that rehearses there, and I used to think they owned the school. Turns out you can still audition for the professional company's kids roles whether you take classes at this particular studio or not. Not the best choice if you want great training. I think it is too big and too easy to get lost in the noise here. Big machines move slow.

Unfortunately, my experience changed due to a situation involving a spin instructor that deeply impacted my personal life. This situation made the gym feel uncomfortable and no longer like the safe space it once was for me and my family. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and ultimately I was the one who had to leave and cancel my membership after many years. I understand that personal situations can be complex, but when they affect members' comfort and trust, I believe they should be handled with greater care and accountability. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider what kind of environment they're looking for when choosing a gym.

They have an outdoor and an indoor cafe that has high quality ingredients and food, truly making it so you could spend your whole day here. On top of the workout classes, expansive gym, pools that make you feel like you are no longer in Omaha- but somewhere more tropical they also have a great workspace if you are looking to make a meeting right after a workout. They have a clean, well maintained locker room that allows you to shower and get ready for your day here as well. Life Time is truly like my second home. Perfect day: yoga, steam room and sauna, cafe for a protein packed smoothie, get comfortable in their work space and get power through some projects, pool with a book and a slushie, shower off and go home.
