The owner is always available, she makes an effort to know the students and parents. The teachers are world class and give 100% to training and developing the students. They are real people who truly want the best for the students. And while winning isn't everything, the number of trophies and championships that the studio has earned is a great indication of the level of training provided. We've belonged to three ballet studios (we've moved a few times) and have been here the longest. This school impresses me with the level of quality instruction starting with the youngest kids. At a previous dance studio, the "Pre-ballet" or "Ballet I" classes were taught by young college students (and even one high school senior) who were trying to get teaching experience. Here, every teacher we have had has been a professional and has instructed the kids as such. The atmosphere is caring and loving but also fairly serious. You are following in the footsteps of many dancers who have attended the school over 52 years and have gone on to dance careers. The Nutcracker performance sells out at UB every year, and the end of the year recital (also at UB) is an enormous production. This is not the YMCA's music and movement class. They offer ballet, pointe, acro, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, Broadway dance, jazz and tap, as well as adult ballet classes. The cost seems comparable to other dance studios in the area, and there is a discount for families. The school also offers camps in the summer, including a "Princess camp" for girls 8 and younger that seems very popular.

There is a small waiting area for the parents to wait on the kids, and I only saw two bigger rooms where the kids practice. There was no organization at all, especially for a first time grandparent doing the drop off. Thank God my 5 year old knew the drill. There is no staff greeting, that I experienced. The biggest issue is the parking situation. It's awful. You have classes getting out within minutes of the new classes starting. It is true chaos. For that reason alone, I personally would have never picked this dance studio. Could be the old lady in me don't know. But on the positive side, my grand daughter loves it here, loves her teachers and truly enjoys it. So in the end guess that's all that matters.

I came here for my friend Kylie's bride ride. When I walked in, I was blown away. They have a store, with unique products and what appears to be high-quality products. I love their locker room/restrooms, which are clean. I liked their studios, where it is dark and perfect for when you are sweating, and dancing on the bikes and don't want to be seen. They had balloons for Kylie and a bottle of champagne waiting for her and her group of gals and it was so personalized and absolutely wonderful. On her bike in the spin room, was an engagement ring balloon as well. It was such a fun ride and the songs were catered to Kylie and what she enjoys in the classes she attends. You could tell the two owners, who were there and running the bride ride, were genuinely excited and put a lot of thought into the event. One of the songs included weights, which I really enjoyed. I enjoyed this event and the studio so much, even though it sort of broke me. It broke me because when I went to sleep, I almost had to slather mentholatum all over my body to be able to sleep, as I was so sore. I will definitely be back. I liked the vibes in this place and how much the owners actually care.
