I…read morecertainly want to give the museum some money, but there are only two exhibits and you can practically see the first floor exhibit while you're standing at the front desk. The second floor is a bit more expansive, but $7 feels like you should spend more than 15 minutes tops. I was examining the wooden structure, the bends and repairs. We went up the 4th floor stairs to see what was up there (appears to be where you take school kids for a field trip) just to prolong our stay. Ultimately, while I prefer this to the tourist-trap Red Mill across the bridge, honestly, the bridge is my favorite museum in town. I'd skip this next time.

The dance space is two different rooms, one very large and once of a decent size, but both are on the third floor. No air conditioning in either, but they do have small units that do their best to cool the space. The sound system is good, with both mp3 and cd options.

We found Miss Jeanne's to be a very disappointing experience. We read many great reviews about the…read moreplace, so we confidently chose it as where to enroll our 3 year old girls for their first year of dance lessons. The school, for us, seems to be largely riding on its legacy. Many of the other parents at the school were dancers there previously, so as "outsiders" we often felt out of the loop and that a lot of the things we needed to know weren't widely broadcast because it was seemingly assumed that we just knew what was going on. Our girls started in September, but in January we discovered we had not been receiving any email communications from the studio. Mistakes happen, but the dates and times of the year end recital had changed, which meant family who wanted to come see the performance didn't have enough notice to change their schedules; had we received those initial emails in the fall they would have had time to adjust their vacation schedules. Once we began receiving emails it still seemed as if we would only get some of what was sent out as more often than not we should show up for class with some kind of special event going on that we had no clue about (and yes, we regularly check our Spam so the communications were not ending up there either). Also, whole emails were used sometimes important announcements were just made to the parents in the waiting room, meaning if you weren't there or stepped out to run an errand during class you missed out and had no way of knowing what, if anything, you might have missed. Overall, the communication from the studio to parents was very poor. While communication was one big issue the larger one was that parents were really just viewed as means to write a check every month. Parents were forbidden to go in to the dance studio (beyond the waiting room) and to talk to the teachers. While we certainly understand the problems of having parents in the studio creates and that you can't have a line of parents harassing the teacher after lessons, causing the next hour of lessons to run late, it's problematic when you are dealing with 3-4 year olds who aren't the best communicators. We never got any kind of feedback or assessment from the teacher or studio as to how our girls were doing in class, if or what they should be practicing at home, if they possessed any natural aptitude for dancing, and if they even seemed to enjoy it. For older students, that's not a problem, but for the parents of toddlers it's a very frustrating place to be. Our girls often seemed reticent to go to class saying they didn't like it, but then would be very excited and happy after class, so who knows. We eventually got frustrated enough with the place that we pulled our girls out in April because we were over not knowing how or what our children were doing for that hour each week they were in class and because we continued to receive very poor instructions from the studio about what was expected of us / what we needed to do. One week they were supposed to show up in full recital attire. We never were told they needed to do so that week and then were given the hasty instructions of "just dress them up next week" without any specifics of what they should wear, how their hair should be, or what make up they needed. Again, it was all assumed that we just knew all these details. As far as I can tell, the teachers do a good job with the students. Our girls, over time, did show us some steps they learned and they even performed their routine for us after we un-enrolled from the school. We felt horrible about doing so since they had worked hard all year, but we had no confidence that we would actually receive the instructions and feedback we needed to put our children in a place to succeed at the recital. The older students who were there seemed to really like it. For us, though, the school seemed very focused on the competition aspect of dance and less on the artistic expression aspects. Our perception on that might be incorrect, but that was just the vibe we got, which was also not what we were really looking for in a dance studio. In any case, if our girls decide they want to continue dancing we will find a different dance school to take them to.

I am Hispanic and one of my coworkers was also Hispanic. When the children were doing a quiet activity and we would interact with each other we would speak Spanish, In private not to the kids unless a Hispanic kid spoke to us in Spanish and we had a few, well the new director of this place made it forbidden for me to speak Spanish, because she did t understand what I was saying to my coworker.. and on my down time I was caught speaking Spanish and she legit wrote me up for speaking Spanish!!!! I Of course excused myself and quit but umm do you really want to take your kids to a daycare where the director is so much of a tyrant that she forbids her employees to speak their native language when speaking with one another? But it's okay to speak Spanish when it's of convenience you!? Nope!!

I am pretty obsessive when it comes to visiting a venue like this for the first time. And it was…read morealmost impossible to find good reviews so I thought I would share in case it helps somebody else. As far as parking, I had a lot of people helping me by telling me that street parking wasn't really hard to find, you just have to get there at a reasonable time if you want to be closer. We actually arrived later than I wanted to, maybe 20 minutes before the event and we still were pretty close. I kept reading about a giant hill that you had to walk up to get to the seats and I didn't understand until I got there. So if you park on a street near the "bottom" entrance of the stadium, when you enter, you climb a steep paved path to get to the higher rows of bleachers. If you're sitting in the first 15 bleachers starting from the field, though, you can simply just walk around the track from where you enter and walk up the steps. If you park in street parking that's at the "top" of the stadium (we chose to park on West Chew St between 22nd-20th) then when you enter and show your tickets, you're in a good position to walk down to the higher bleachers. I am the idiot who parked near the top of the stadium and had to walk 21 rows down (with a knee problem and no rail to hold onto) to our Section E, 9th row seats. The bathrooms are not as bad as I had read, they're near the top and bottom entrances and I didn't find them particularly difficult to get to either from the top of the stadium, or walking along the bottom of the track. We were there for the DCI event and there were also lots of portable bathrooms that were easy to use. I brought a stadium seat that had armrests on it and didn't have any problem using it, but I can see that if you are in a section that is completely packed out and you are in the middle of that section, it might get dicey because it's so crowded. I was on the aisle, and my son was sitting next to me so it was fine. I saw some other people using the same kind of chairs without problems, but again they were not in sections that were completely packed with people. But I will say that, even though our entire section was not packed out, there was a point at which there were people in front of me and behind me plus my son sitting next to me and I was still able to easily use the chair. I was told beforehand that those chairs were not allowed in the stadium, but when I got there, nobody was saying anything to anyone who had them. And speaking of sections, I think next time I will still choose seats in E (or K). They're right next to the premium center sections, but still close enough to center to be well placed and not nearly as crowded. However, I will pick higher row of bleachers (between 20-25) to get an even better view. Although where we sat was perfectly fine as well, and maybe the sound was better? All in all, we had a very positive experience , and look forward to returning.

This studio offers a wide…read morerange of classes from beginner to advanced levels and there are so many talented amazing dancers and teachers at this studio that I would recommend it to anyone. Their staff, especially Miss Jessica, has always been so kind and helpful, also the teachers at this school seem to have an unlimited supply of patience...guiding the students and leading by example to help everyone grow as performers and friends. Truly great place with easy access off 309 or 476 and plenty of parking for drop off /pick up.

We have been part of this family for alittle more than 5 years. My two granddaughters go here and they love it. They have many dance classes all the way from tiny little dancers to adult classes. Everyone from the staff to the families are very friendly and engaging. They the whole session getting ready for the end of year performances that are amazing. They are very professionally done and they are enjoyed by both the dancers and the families.

There is plenty is space to push them in front of the other two portable bats stored to the side of the viewing window . Common sense . It's thoughtless to the parents paying for these lessons and also frustrating for the aspiring dancers eager to show off their skills to their Mom, Dad and siblings. Please Accents? This is a easy fix that would make the experience worth it. Also, one measly bench is simply not enough , parents, siblings, grandparents crammed in like lemmings! ( plus bending high and low to peer through the portable ballet bats in hopes of a glimpse to boot!) why not put a double riser in to accommodate your loyal , paying, clients.
