Japan Karate's approach with their students fosters independence, responsibility and discipline that carries over to home and school efforts. He is excited to practice his lessons at home and has taken his one-on-one discussions with Sensei Todd to heart. I'm, so far, in love with this dojo and cannot wait to see what the future brings with this staff.

My wife and I stopped by the new HOTWORX West Ashley studio today (in Crossroads Center, right…read moreacross from Harris Teeter on Ashley River Road) and got an amazing tour from the owners, Grayson and Jay. These guys are genuinely awesome -- super welcoming, passionate, and you can tell they're pouring everything into making this place special. They're in the final stretch of construction, but even mid-install it already looks incredible. The individual infrared sauna pods with those full bamboo walls, floors, and ceilings are straight-up gorgeous and feel so calming and high-end. They've got the perfect lineup: smaller pods for the 15-30 minute isometric sessions (Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Iso, Thunder Row, etc.) with virtual instructors on the screens, plus the bigger HIIT saunas with the spin bikes for Hot Cycle and rowers for Hot Row. The back FX Zone is shaping up beautifully too -- kettlebells, dumbbells, and a massive premium cable crossover machine with fully adjustable swiveling arms that's going to be perfect for functional training.Everything about it screams boutique, private, zero-intimidation vibe with 24/7 access -- exactly what West Ashley has been needing. Grayson and Jay said grand opening is in about two weeks and I seriously can't wait to see it fully open and packed with members. If you're into infrared workouts, red light therapy, or just want fast, effective sessions that fit a busy life, go see these guys. This studio is going to be a game-changer for Charleston! Highly, highly recommend.

The instructions are wonderful and I highly recommend them, especially Justin and Vicky. (If you…read morecan hire them outside of CSS, go for it!) Office manager Jerrica is professional, helpful, and responsive. Jerrica has helped correct billing issues where I was overcharged, and helped cover-up the errors made by the CSS owner. (Example, when the owner came out to my house to view my pool at the wrong time, the owner blamed Jerrica for messing up her schedule. I know this was not Jerrica's fault, but at no point did Jerrica blame the owner.) However, this one star review is a reflection of the company itself and its sketchy business practices, most recently an illegal breach of contract imposed by the owner. The Pool Partner contract does not have a termination date, but does have a 90-day clause for property managers to terminate. I received an email stating that my pool partner contract was going to be cancelled: An egregious violation of their terms stated in their agreement. When I pointed this out (with documentation, along with dates of other billing, and communication issues) the owner cancelled my baby's swim lessons effective immediately. I suspect she may have been offended because I bolded each time she was supposed to reach out (such as to provide a copy of CSS' Certificate of Insurance) and she did not respond back. Again I highly recommend the instructors, but sadly the owner has no business accumen which creates a headache to be a backup pool partner. Use the instructors, talk to the office manager, but beware of sketchy business practices.

The owner was gracious enough to accommodate us by opening 1/2 hour early. The facility is clean and has the Hit Trax system available, which both players and parents will enjoy. The owner was gracious and allowed us to stay a few extra minutes. Highly recommended !

I love cycle house especially because they offer clip in shoes to borrow for free, which seems like a small thing, but it actually means a lot to me! To me it says the owners are in no way greedy, in fact they are generous as heck to be willing to pay for and maintain shoes of multiple sizes just because it's a nice thing to do for their clients. It's one reason I choose Cycle House over any other cycle studio! I also love that they have free and easy to find parking at all times of the year. Even during summer/concert season, I have been able to park. In Charleston, that's saying something! All around, everyone here is so nice, skilled, and empowering. I am so grateful for Cycle House!

Mrs. Dayna, her husband Coach David, and their entire family are truly amazing people who genuinely care about the children. They have never missed a school pickup and are open on teacher workdays, unlike some other after-school centers. Outside of the school year, my child also attends their summer program, which is wonderful. Every single day they have planned activities for the kids, so you never have to worry about them sitting around doing nothing. I get paid twice a month, and it has never been an issue if I needed to make a late payment because of my pay schedule. Once I explain my situation, they are always understanding and willing to work with me. Not once have I ever felt that my child was unsafe while in their care. Even during field trips, I know she is always well looked after. I highly recommend Holy City to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and reliable after-school program.
