The instructor was really nice and it was easy to follow. This was one of the most challenging workouts I've done in a long time! My only complaint is that i wish it was more affordable but you get what you pay for here. Super clean gym, they have a parking lot and hand towels. Loved it!

Love this new gym concept in Mount Pleasant! Yes, a membership is expensive, but I think of it as…read moregetting 2 fitness studios for the price of one, as the Hy and Lo classes are both very different and work out my body in completely different ways. I love HyLo for the showers alone. The women's shower is a full room, with marble walls, and all the accoutrements you'd need--soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, towels, and even a scale. My only complaint is that they don't have makeup remover or any hair products in the bathroom when I'm getting ready after my workout, but I just bring what I need from home. The HY classes really work you in the cardio department. They all use a combination of spin bikes, rowing machines, free weights / kettlebells, ropes, TRX things (idk what they're called), and body weight to perform a lot of exercises in a short period of time with a lot of energy. Similar to what I assume some crossfit classes include. The LO classes use a special board to use your body weight and weighted poles or rubber bands to strengthen your body using your own body weight. This is most similar to pilates, barre, or yoga. All of which I'm terrible at, as I have the upper body strength of a newborn baby. Both classes totally kick my butt and make me feel like I've really worked my body hard! Highly recommend!

This is the noisiest yoga studio that could possibly exist. Why? Why do you do this to guests?…read more We entered the lobby to cocktail-party level chitchat, which didn't seem to phase anyone but my friend and me. Nice Staff showed us to lockers. All that could have been ok if the class had been ... enjoyable enough to do. Why did the teacher have a headpiece for screaming instructions, when there is no way the room wouldn't be covered just fine by her voice. I tried for about fifteen minutes, trying to follow her sometimes muted screaming by looking around me. I gave up and went to the front desk where they kindly said this was normal and offered me a cup of earplugs to pick from. I took them and used them for about three minutes when I gave up. The place purposefully makes it so loud that they have odes of earplugs in a cute little jar on the counter. That's just messed up. I usually do vinyasa flow, my friend does Bikram and neither of us really knew what this class was. Worst $30 one a class pass ever.

The man next to me was sweating onto my mat and I could smell and feel his coffee breath on me. I couldn't do half the moves instructed without hitting those around me. They turn off the lights when class begins which I've never experienced that. The lobby, locker area and studio was honestly the cleanest studio I've ever seen. I repeat, first class is free!…read more Thanks to Yelp, I discovered CycleBar and worked with Julianne to get a large group (30) of coworkers to come try out a morning session. Pleasant customer service was there from the start, and has continued to be there. I ended up signing up for a monthly unlimited membership, and I have been a total of 6 times in 13 days! A membership is a great way to challenge yourself to get into a routine or to pick up something new. I've taken classes with Erika, Allen and Darby and all have had great playlists and energy. They have some new instructors debuting in October 2021! CycleBar has morning, lunch, evening and weekend classes. I usually pick based on the time that fits my schedule, but the app makes it easy to pick based on time or instructor. They also do theme rides, like Happy Hour, EDM, East v West Hip Hop and more. They run referral deals and offer discounts. Now let me tell you about the studio! Very clean, very modern. You can check in via your app or iPads in the reception room. You grab a pair of cycling shoes (provided and always disinfected). There is a locker for every bike. When you book a class, you pick a bike - the app shows you where each bike is located in relation to the instructor - and your locker number corresponds to your bike number. They ALWAYS write your name on the locker for each class! It's got a lock, so all you have to do is set the combo and ride. The bathrooms have your essentials, especially for all my ladies who may need an extra hair tie or two. Plus, it always smells amazing. Each rider also gets a towel which is waiting for you on the bike! At the end of the class, shoes and towels get placed in bins for cleaning. I've seen the laundry machine in the back and the team disinfect shoes, plus clean the bikes after each class. Plenty of COVID mitigation factors in place. They also have a water refill station, a plus for those earth conscious folks! Need help setting up your bike? The team's got your back! Now the ride... lights go low, then dark. It's just you, the instructor, and sets of wheels spinning. I love that you can truly focus on you and your ride. The ambiance is definitely a wow factor. The beats are jamming. I've done 270+ minutes of riding so far and the songs are always different and pump me up. Sometimes the leader board will pop up on the big screens, and sometimes the class' total RPMs, calories burned, and more, are displayed. But for the most part, the big screen stays off so you can truly tune into the ride. 45 minutes goes quick and you don't find yourself dreading the ride or waiting for it to be over. After each ride, you get an email telling you how you did in that class and linking the playlist too. You can then hop on Spotify and find the jam you just fell in love with. I find myself booking a class within 2 hours of start time, at the end of my work day. They have about 50 bikes and there is always space available for those who are considering signing up at the last minute. And for my planners, you can sign up for classes days in advance. I definitely recommend trying a class out to experience the studio and then decide what type of membership fits your lifestyle!
