This is the first time I have been to any autobody shop. I was hesitant but after meeting Mike I am super happy. He is excellent, friendly and very honest. He gave me an estimate. No cost hidden. Mike and his team did a great job with my Toyota Yaris. (Bumper, tail lights, hood, etc) I even asked his opinion on a few other things on my car and he was so honest and said don't spend your money on these things. Its his business and he could have given an estimate for the small things I asked and I would have happily agreed on it. But the fact that he suggested not to, shows how honest and kind he is. Anyone reading this please go to Dan the Man's... they truly are amazing and the best. And don't forget to say Hi to Garry (Mike's brother's dog) :) read more

My car got broken into, this happened to be the first shop and closest I found that's ICBC registered. I got amazing service, they even vacuumed my car and gave me a ride home and then came to pick me up to return the car to me. Plus occasional fluffy guest appearance makes it the best car shop I've ever been to. read more

Love this place!!!! 5/5 no questions asked. I went in because of a smashed window, and they estimated, 1-3 days for the part to come in, it came in the next day, I went in right away, and it was fixed by the end of the day!!! Best part is, it was taking a little longer than estimated, so I called and they apologized, said that they were about to call me and that it would be ready within the hour. I went over and ends up the reason it took a little longer is because my side mirror had been broken off in an earlier accident, caused by me, and my silly tiny parking spot in my parking garage. And they just so happened to have the part in for my mirror!! And fixed it! Free of charge!!! Such great guys!!! The brothers are very friendly, and almost make you forget why you're in, which lets be honest, normally when you're at a car shop, you're not exactly there just for fun. They were so kind to me. This is one of the first times that I've had anything happened to me since I moved to Surrey, and I 100% have found my new repair shop. I hope that I don't have to go back, and that my car is always fine and dandy, but if I do, I've found my place!!! read more

The customer service at Dan the Man's was top notch, and the work these professionals did was even better. Took my new vehicle there with some significant damage and it came out looking like it did when I drove it off the lot. Great family run business with honest staff and pricing. Went to get a hood repaired on my car. Was quoted that he'd try and make it the cheapest he could because I was paying for the repair out of pocket. We talked for over 45 min about what needed to be done and what not to do as I was going through icbc but paying icbc back so it wouldn't mess up my insurance. Was quoted that it shouldn't cost more than $1100 since I had no radiator damage and it was just a HOOD that needed replacing. No bumper, no lights, nothing else was messed up but my hood. Flash forward a get a letter from ICBC because I am wanting to pay for things out of pocket. I was charged over $3500 for the hood that I was quoted $1100 tops for. Everything that I had discussed with Dan personally not to do was done. I go into the shop, he says that I should have told him I was paying for it out of pocket, because when they see icbc claim they will charge the maximum that they can. I said I did talk to him, and I did say I was paying out of pocket. He kept repeating that we got our "wires crossed". Basically he saw my car, and saw $ signs, forgetting our lengthy conversation (I am a single mom, I cannot afford the entire price all at once hence the going through icbc to buy a couple months to save up for the repair)... and just charged me for everything they could think of. 20 hours of labour to paint and colour match a hood, repaint my bumper that wasn't even in the accident nor did it even need painting, a new halogen light (my light was not damaged, we discussed together how it wasn't damaged), and then some. It was ludicrous. He couldn't even admit he was at fault when I asked if he even looked at the quote he gave me when he started going gung hoe on making "repairs" that were absurdly unnecessary and non-pertaining to the actual accident. A hood costs $200-$400 max. I was taken for a ride with these guys. Do not use these guys. They are cheats and scam artists. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

Stopped in with no appointment on one of their busiest days. I had scratches in the paint because someone had dragged their key along the side of my car door. I wanted to know if they were too deep to be buffed out or if I needed a paint job. Mike dropped everything and said ... "Well, let's see." and started to work on it right away. I wasn't expecting anyone to fix it that day but that's exactly what happened. He was more than happy to help and did it all with a smile. I really appreciated the way he answered my questions and gave his advice without talking down to me like so many men do when it comes to cars, mechanics, etc. The customer service was amazing and I walked away happy and grateful. horrible service, they are so rude, and lied to me about what was done. Had to take my car back to ICBC to show the poor work, and have a proper body shop redue everything. Do not waste your time, you will be disappointed. read more

I asked them to do something about it, eventually they decided to replace the windshield for me for free. Even though it took quite a while, and twice, as the first windshield had distortion, they order a new one from the dealership and install it for me. I am grateful for their kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers. They paid for taxi for me for the first couple times, and I got a courtesy car for last replacement, I saw scratches on the car one day after shopping, they didn't ask me to pay for the damage, I am so grateful.

Within months the paint began to peel off of multiple areas of the replaced panel. When I brought it in for reassessment I was told that the issue was the result of what product ICBC would let them use and maybe how I was using the vehicle (?) and that there wasn't anything they could do about it. When I got there, Ellie looked at the car and gave me an estimate right away. Pricing I though their pricing is more than reasonable and transparent. As it turned out, nothing was broken (as Ellie had suspected). They had to remove the bumper and re-attach it to make it straight. They did it for a flat fee of $125 plus tax. That was the estimate, and that's exactly what I paid. Scheduling They had an opening the following week. So, I dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. Last Week, I had my car window smashed and stuff was stolen from inside my car. I was pretty bummed out as it was horrible timing(but when isn't) to have to get this repaired and pay a large amount of money. Even going through ICBC was going to cost me my $300 deductible. I couldn't hold off though, I needed it repaired ASAP as I live in surrey and didn't want to take any chances. On Friday morning I called Dan The Man's as I saw that they were on the list of ICBC'c approved places to get my window fixed and it was conveniently just down the road from my place. I spoke to a guy for a few minutes, explaining what I needed to get done, the cheaper the better, as I wasn't sure if I was going to go through insurance or not. He said that I could come by at anytime and he would take a look and see about getting a new window ordered in. I went over there shortly after our conversation and spoke with the same guy. He went online and got a window ordered in for the same day. I was able to bring my car back only a few hours later and they were able to install the new window for me. It ended up costing me LESS than my deductible, only $246 total! I couldn't believe it! The service from Dan The Man's was remarkable, all the staff were super friendly, and they did everything they could to get me my car fixed and ready to go at the cheapest possible cost they could! I highly recommend going to this business. For these other negative reviews I read, I strongly doubt they are the full truth. Try them out for yourself, I believe you will be thoroughly impressed on the service that Dan The Man's have to offer! read more

My family and I have used this shop exclusively for almost 8 years. From ICBC repairs to personal repairs as well as some custom work. They have always treated me extremely well and gone above and beyond for me. As an example, I was trading in my Jeep recently and they took the time to help me remove my custom hood and reinstall the original hood at no charge. I just showed up and they stopped to help me. On top of that instead of just sending me on my way to the car wash as was my plan, they took the time to wash my original hood before I left. All with a smile and a great attitude. I'm so happy with the service I've received from Dan the Man's. I heard about the shop from a friend and ever since they fixed my car, I've been telling everyone about how wonderful they are. They're honest and trust-worthy, make you feel really comfortable leaving your car with them, they don't cut any corners, the quality of repair is so good you cant even tell I was in an accident.
