He gave me clear options for repairing or replacing my 30 year-old roof. The estimate came later the same day and was reasonable. I decided to go with replacing the roof and they even dropped off a few samples of the shingles to help me in selecting the best option for me. I now have a new roof. The entire process took one day and was very smooth. Great team of hard-working guys who went above and beyond in terms of protecting my plants/landscaping, attention to safety issues, and cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend them.

They just finished our very tall, steep, large roof…read morein Jamaica Plain -- for a home built in 1890 that is tightly sandwiched between multiple other homes. When we were asking around about the best roofers for projects that involve doing a roof on a big old house that is tricky because it is so close to other homes, Duffy came up time and again. After working with them, I can see why! Let me break this review down in a few sections, all of which are equally important: Quality of job One word: impeccable. The Duffy team knows their roofs! Their consultation on how to approach the roof, what materials to use, etc. were all spot on. The day of job was executed flawlessly. Communication Garrett and the Duffy team really stood out in their area. They let us know when the roof would be done, how long it would take, how they would protect our plants and house, and much more. For a huge project like this, it's great to know what's going on. Neighbor relations Again, our house is SUPER close to our neighbors' houses. I felt like the Duffy team spent a level of time and attention addressing neighbor concerns, and protecting their homes, as if they were their own neighbors. Pricing I won't quote their pricing since every roof is different, but I felt it was more than fair given the materials they used and attention to detail they gave to the project. I highly doubt you could get better value for your money anywhere else. The Duffy team was an absolute delight to work with, and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!

I would avoid this company. I used them this past December to replace the fascia boards at my house…read moreand it's been a nightmare. The guys they sent to do the demo work were unqualified and made a mess of my yard and the drip edge of my roof issue mangled in many places (Chris said it would be straightened then just hid it behind the gutters). Luckily the roofing crew finished the work they started, but it still didn't come out great. I've got multiple gaps that have formed around the fascia boards and gutters that are all messed up now, with water getting behind them in multiple places. There are wasps currently building nests in the gaps they left. I've called, texted and sent messages to Chris (the owner) through Yelp and he hasn't responded once and apparently doesn't stand behind his work. They also found a roof issue while they were doing the fascia boards that required them to remove a section of the roof and repair it, and while I haven't noticed any issues with it yet I'm nervous about the quality of it after seeing how the fascia boards turned out. They were supposed to replace the soffit reveal where they replaced the roof but never did, and I found a piece where they were supposed to install pvc fascia material is actually just a piece of tin cut to that shape. The soffit reveals all around the house are also uneven in a lot of places. I ended up having to buy a roofing magnet to pick up the hundreds of nails they left behind in my yard. I tried to give Chris the opportunity to make this right, but he won't answer or return any of my calls or messages. I would not recommend using Oakwood Roofing.

Three things make Dion and Certified Roofing stand out: communication, honesty and generosity…read more Communication: Dion was readily accessible via phone, text or email. He explained every step of the process, answered all my questions about everything from protecting from water damming to whether brand matters when it comes to underlayment (it doesn't). He kept me posted on progress and even sent pictures as the job was underway Honesty: Dion set a price (which was the lowest I was quoted) and stuck to it. We had some confusion over gutter guards - Dion ended up installing high quality guards and didn't raise the price, despite the fact that they were not in the official quote. Generosity: In addition to the gutter guards, Dion threw in our shed roof as a bonus and even installed zinc to protect from moss growing in the future. Highly recommend Certified roofing for a job well done
