TLDR; Stay away, the doctor sold his practice to a big company and they are now nickel and diming patients with surprise bills. I've been a patient of Dr. Ilkovitch's for several years now. He has always been great and I have nothing bad to say about him. However, he just sold his practice to a big company and like any change of this nature, in my experience, the parent company is focused on maximizing profits. I had a mole removed during my last visit and, as a cash patient, I always pay for services rendered at the time of the appointment, the full bill. I did so as usual at the end of my last appointment, and that was it, or so I thought. Surprise, surprise. I just got a bill, more than two months after my appointment, for "lab services" from the parent company. So now they are going try to bleed their patients by nickel and diming them. I'm not putting up with that crap and they have lost a patient. If you are in need of a dermatologist, do yourself a favor and find a local doctor who hasn't sold out to a big corporation. You will be happy you did. read more

Dr Ilkovitch diagnosed my skin issue quickly and gave me a plan that helped me to improve quickly. He is a very intelligent doctor who has an answer to every question. At later visit i saw him for cosmetic injections and I am super happy with my results. Glad to know of this doctor as i do not trust just anyone injecting my face especially under the eyes and in the jaw line. Also his office is clean and the staff are nice. read more

Totally worthless. He doesn't answer direct questions about anything concerning your issues.Gives a great impression of being uneducated. I had three visits with him, trying to get a bump removed or a pimple. He was never sure of what it was. It was never removed. what are you here for today is his only question, and you need to come back for this. Total waste of my time and my insurances money. I went to see Dr. Ilkovitch last July with a small, flat grey spot on my back that had to be removed. He quickly sprayed it & left the room. A week or 2 later it turned into a hardened blister. When I returned to FL the end of Nov (I am a snowbird so I couldn't go sooner), I made an appt. to have it removed. He stated that he never even sprayed it - he blamed it on some surgery that I had (about 10 years ago!) that was about 5 inches away from the blister. He neglected to document that he sprayed this - thus telling me that he never did spray it (as he didn't document it), but he did! NEGLECTFUL DOCTOR! read more

I loved the doctor I was able to get the medication that I needed in a reasonable time although he did rush through the visit and didn't have a lot of sympathy it still went smooth , but ok the other hand the staff is SO RUDE they are constantly hanging up on you or never returning your phone calls(after leaving multiple voicemails) Due to this issue I will not be returning or recommending to any of my friends. This review is long overdue but I have been at patient of Dr. IIkovitch for about 2 years now. I was referred to him based on a close friend's experience. I originally went to see Dr. IIkovitch about acne that started when I stopped my oral contraception and quickly worsened to the point of changing my self-esteem. He gave me a treatment plan and within a few weeks my acne was cleared up and I felt like my old self. I am forever grateful for Dr. IIkovitch because anyone with acne knows how debilitating it can be physically and emotionally. I have continued to see Dr. IIkovitch over the last few years for micro needling and most recently lip fillers which have far exceeded my expectations. I am so thankful for Dr. IIkovitch and I am so thankful to have him as a part of my care team. 25 years ago I had a tumor removed from my salivary gland. All went well except that the nerves which would stimulate my salivary gland stimulate my sweat glands on cheek. This meant that EVERY time I would eat, my cheek would sweat and drip down my face. It seemed insignificant but It was quite a nuisance and I was very self conscious about it. Dr. Ilkovitch suggested we try treating the area with Botox injections. Within 10 days I saw dramatic results! I can now enjoy dinner with friends without having to worry about having plenty napkins nearby. I left my prior dermatologist because of unfriendly office staff and assistants. I don't think that prior doctor realized how unfriendly the upfront people were. Not so here. Dr. Ilkovitch is a highly trained and outstanding board certified dermatologist. I have been a patient of his for over 3 years and have seen him since his practice at the reputable Cleveland Clinic. He has cared for my general dermatologic needs (acne, occasional rashes, and skin cancer concerns) as well as some anti-aging concerns. He's a very skilled neurotoxin injector (i.e. Botox and Dysport), and has always delivered consistent and natural results. As a medical professional, what I appreciate the most from Dr. Ilkovitch's care is his concern about time - he addresses all of my concerns in a timely efficient and thorough manner. I know that my needs and time will always be respected when under his care - a subtle art not possessed by other physicians. From having seen other dermatologists in the South Florida area, I can tell you that he practices ethical and evidence based medicine. He combines his physician and scientist training from the world renown University of Miami in a very patient oriented way - where I know that I can discuss any issues and his recommendations are professional backed by science - a trait not seen commonly in the area that we live.
