Ive been here twice in the past year. the first time- great service and lady. This time, awful. The massage chair wasn't working properly for one. Then the guy sliced my toe open and it wouldn't stop bleeding. He used a TON of nail glue to stop the bleeding, and three days later I just got it all off. The paint job was subpar. My girlfriend and I just moved here so she didn't know where to go for her nails. We ended up going to Damon and that was the worst mistake ever. Firstly, the man who did her nails (The own I believe) drilled her nail too much and hurt her. She told him he hurt her but he continued without an apology. Secondly, the shaping and length were not consistent. Then, he had his daughter paint her nails, which were not done neatly. We did not complain because they were nice and they didn't look that bad. I have been coming to Damon's for a couple of years now. I usually book an appointment with Tim and he is great! Although, I've had other people do my nails and pedicures and everyone has been pretty good. I just prefer to go to the same person that knows my feet and my "issues" such as ingrown toenails, ticklish feet, etc. I like the products that they use here. I get really good results on my fills using the gel polish over the acrylic. I have never had such great results before and I've had acrylic nails for over 35 years! But when I called back and told them that I was unhappy with what I received, the manager Nancy told me to come back and get them fixed for free. Damon's Nails does tend to get busy, but even at their busiest they can usually get you in within a half hour. There are plenty of magazines to read and a television to watch while you wait. There are also a few shops like Pat Catan's and Dots in the same plaza if you want to put your name down, do some shopping and come back in a bit! They always have plenty of people working and all of their employees are very sweet and friendly. Personally, I am a fan of their spa pedicures. They have a bunch of those oversized massage chairs to sit in. I always pay the extra few bucks and get the ultimate spa pedicure because I love the extra TLC they give my feet and lower legs. If you get the extra special spa pedicure they will wrap your legs in warm towels, use a wonderful exfoliator, massage and then moisturize. Damon's has a huge selection of nail polish, airbrushing and nail art. I have been going to Damon's Nails for at least 10 years and every time I walk through the doors I am greeted by the employees like I am family. Damon nails is one of my new favorite nails spas. This is my 3 Rd time here and I've had 3 good experiences. Today I had a spa pedicure with Kimberly, she was great and did a really good massage, which if I'm totally honest is my biggest motivation in getting a pedicure. I was on the other side of town last Wednesday and stopped somewhere else on a whim for a gel fill and polish, after only a week the gel polish chipped on my thumb. Now while they didn't have the exact same color Kimberly patched me right up by mixing polish colors. She saved me $25 over a color change and I can live with it for 2 more weeks! The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is the salon is dated and appears dingy. .not a huge deal as I feel it's clean and sanitary. read more

This place is a total rip-off!! I dropped my daughter off only to find out that he charged me $46 for a FILL-IN!!! She has gone there plenty of times for a full set and was charged $62. This is the LAST TIME she will go here! She walked in with a pic of what she wanted and asked him how much it would be. Going from $30 to $46??? And to add more to the fire, there's a $2 difference between a cash and a debit payment! WOW!! Be glad that people are coming in to get a service!! Doesn't seem like it, but I'm speechless!! read more

The young woman at the reception was so nice. They have a large color selection but a lot of colors are very similar. They dont have many greens. Nothing near the green I wanted but it turned out nice. My manicure and pedicure are both very pretty and ultimately I'm happy with them. What I'm sad about is that I got gel on my nails and regular polish on my toes since toe nail polish stays forever, I didn't want to pay 20 extra dollars for the longevity. Well regular polish doesnt dry as fast. That's fine but because they do get busy and they want to put someone else in the chair, they made me get up, get down, walk over, and go sit in a small roller chair with wet nails. Of course my nails got messed up. The last 2 times I got a pedicure there the same thing happened but no one made a fuss about it and I was happy, it just was what it was. This time the woman that did my pedicure was mad at ME because I messed up MY nails. Kept yelling at me saying gel is better, next time do gel. Maybe you should let me sit in the chair until my wet nails dry. I also didnt ask her to fix it and I didn't complain that they were messed up. I still tipped 20% and I was happy up until that point. I dont get pedicures often, it's just to treat myself and its supposed to be relaxing. They shouldn't offer regular polish if they're gonna A) make you move in it before it dries and B) get mad at you for not getting gel. read more

I went to go get the ombré french manicure done with the air brush, when finished my thumbnail was all messed up and my other fingers looked nothing like the picture I showed. I didn't notice how bad they looked until I got home. I called back and they told me they could fix it for free but the lady who was going to fix it told me they don't do it how it is in the picture and told me that she could do a design on all of the nails or change the color but i'd still have to pay again. I changed the color and the paint is very streaky and uneven, when he trimmed my acrylics he trimmed them unevenly so now they're all slanted. very disappointed in my service as i've heard they're usually an amazing salon. read more

Pretty satisfied with my choice here, as an out-of-town visitor. Went on July 4th and they were packed since they were the only place open. Had to wait a long time, but they dealt with the chaos pretty well. The woman did a good job with my pedi and gel nails, as did the the other woman who waxed my eyebrows. The only complaint I have is small: wish she would have asked if I wanted my nails shorter than they were. Not a big enough deal to me, given all they were dealing with. Never had a bad experience. Not a foo-foo type so really don't want to go to a salon for a pedi. It's hit or miss on who is working and the staff changes often. I love the walk in ability though and the fact that they do take appointments during the week. read more

I've only been here once so I can't speak for consistency, but they seem to do pretty good work. Unfortunately, they were very rude to myself and my mother whom accompanied me to get her nails done as well. The nail tech who I had spoke to me and treated me as if I was a little girl getting my nails done for the first time. I'm an adult and don't like to be treated like a child. My hands were relaxed (I'm not a newbie to this) and he kept insisting that they weren't. He'd twist and pull my fingers yanking them very roughly instead of just asking me to turn them a certain way. He was also very rough with the file and filing very haphazardly making my fingers bleed. I was finished before my mother who was waiting for her nails to dry under the UV light. Her nails tech, she had mentioned was also very rough, had walked to the back of the very busy salon leaving her upfront to dry. A few minutes passed and her nail tech yells "Hey lady! You're done." and then laughed as though he was proud of being so unprofessional. read more

Last summer I went here all the time. The place is dirty, now, lots of grindings everywhere, used scrub pads were used on feet. Nail polish was old. The gentleman who did my nails was very kind, but did a horrible job painting my nails, he also cut them too short, down to the kwick! I work in customer service and have for most of my career, and I have never had worse service any where like I did here. I went here to get my nails done and a pedicure for my wedding day ( because the place i normally got to didn't have any openings) and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! I WAS VERY UNSATISFIED!!!!! They screwed up my nail color twice and kept putting the wrong color. My nails were supposed to have black tips with yellow design and they kept putting navy blue instead of black and saying it was black. Then i got home and within a couple of hrs my nails started lifting( I've had nails for years and know when they roughly should start lifting and need filled) and I had a small blister form on my toe where they cut my nail to short. I work in the cosmetology field for over 15 years so i learned and know how to do nail and foot care. I called them to see about coming back in to have my nails looked at with the fact that I paid close to $80 to get nails and a pedicure (which is way over priced especially with the service I received) and the ladies there argued with me and started laughing and refused to give me back my money. I went back up the next day (mind you it was the day before my wedding) and they looked at my nails and said they would fix them but they still looked the same. I was very unsatisfied and my nails all started chipping off and lifting within a few days. But the worst part is I ended up with a Nail fungal infection from my pedicure ( and I have never ever had any issues with my nails/toes before) due to uncleanliness from them not sanitizing their utensils properly. I ca I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN WORST SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. read more
