When my a/c broke he helped me figure out what was wrong without charging a consultation fee. It was a problem he couldn't fix but he went out of his way to see if any of his colleagues Would be able to help. $20 for an oil change and quick service. Tiny shop in a row of other car services. The office/waiting area is cluttered, but whatever, they are getting the work done! I asked about how my brakes were doing since I've had my car for 4 years and the mechanic said I still had another 10K miles on them, no rush to change them. I don't think the owner knows much about car repair. I came here and believe that my clutch pedal has a problem because I am driving a stick shift. I wanted him to check. Without further checking, he replaced a brand-new clutch pedal and it costs me $800. The next day, I still have problems shifting. I came here again and let him check, he drove my car a bit and told me there is no problem with the stick shift, and told me to come back when it does. When it is my turn to drive, I could not shift my gear, it is quite dangerous on the road. I brought it to another car repair, they told me it was the clutch disc that had already worn out after many miles. Cost me another thousand but the car is fixed now. Money has gone down the drain with this owner who could not diagnose the problem. read more

Found out owner was dishonest after going there for a few years. I was very disappointed. I trusted the owner and didn't even bother to get a second opinion. however my car couldn't be fixed there were one problem after another. Finally took my car to another mechanic referred by a friend and he fixed everything, and we found out about the dishonest part. read more

BEWARE of fake reviews!!! My dad went to this place for a simple oil change and after we picked it up, the brakes started making weird noises. He brought the car back the next day and they told my dad there was now a problem with coolant .. With an additional $200 fixing fee. Whatever - my dad paid it and just requested that we needed it by Friday morning. Our car wasn't ready till noon time. Finally we were leaving for our trip and 30 minutes later on the freeway, the radio and ac kept turning on and off and the dashboard started going crazy. The speedometer, temperature and gas gauge would keep fluctuating and turning on and off as well. I had to pull over to a gas station where the battery died. The problems we have now are way more than a simple oil change. DO NOT GO HERE, you'll get way more than you bargained for. read more

This place has got everything you could ask for in an auto shop; they're nice, fast, reasonably priced, and most importantly - they're honest and don't try to sell you on a bunch of crap. I needed the control arm bushings replaced in my car and couldn't seem to find a place that didn't try to convince me that I also needed five other things fixed. Yes, I know my check engine light is on and I know there may be a few things that need fixing on my ghetto-mobile but I just want this ONE thing fixed this ONE time. So I brought my car into DaMing in the morning and told them about the problem. They told me they would order and replace the part and I could pick up my car in the afternoon. No hassle, no BS, no shpleal. THANK GOD. Plus the price was the cheapest I had been quoted. As promised, they called me in the afternoon to pick up my car. When I got there, they even showed me the old part from my car that they replaced (which is what any good shop should do). They mentioned I should probably get the check engine light looked at sometime, but weren't pushy about it like most places are. It felt more like a courteous reminder, which I can appreciate. I'll definitely go back for any auto work I need. So if you HATE the BS you get at most auto shops and just want good service at decent prices, this is the place to go. read more

Kinda of a long post so if you want the short and sweet version: This place is as honest as it gets with mechanics. GO. How many times have we all run into the problem of taking our cars into a mechanic, only to do the same damn repair over and over again wondering what the hell is wrong with my luck? This piece of crap car, why do you keep going limp on me? And then realized it was because that damn mechanic never fixed crap and pretty much ripped you off. Well here is your solution to that problem is you live within any 30 mile radius of this place. The managers at Da Ming were very good and honest people and explained every little detail they did to my car and why it needed to be changed. They also explained to me how I was ripped off with my previous mechanics due to what they found in my car vs. my history of maintenance and even changed my radiator tubing for free. Charged me $25 for an oil change. And checked the rest of my car for other problems. read more

I would not come to this shop. 1. I have under cover for the the engine and have 20 some screw to hold it. After repair I found the shop only put in 4 . 2. After repair the shop did job that is not request and want to charge for it. 3. The shop hire inexperienced kid and did lousy job. read more

DaMing has excellent mechanics who know cars, do great work for a very fair price, and they are very honest. I have been bringing my Infinity sedan here since it has had over 100,000 miles on it. They have kept it running for me for years, and say it should last another 200,000 miles. Getting car service at DaMing gives me confidence to go on longer road trips with such an older car. read more
