1 Star -- Accessibility Is a Legal Obligation, Not a Retroactive Excuse…read more My experience at Ignite Pizzeria was deeply disappointing -- not only because of the discriminatory treatment I encountered as a disabled person with a service dog, but because of how the business attempted to rationalize that treatment afterward. The response I received relied heavily on the assertion that staff "need more training." That explanation is not mitigating -- it is an admission of failure. Accessibility training is not something that is implemented after a disabled patron is harmed. It is a baseline operational requirement that should exist from the moment a business opens its doors to the public. Training is not limited to upselling, customer turnover, or branding. It must include disability awareness, lawful service-dog access, and accommodation obligations. A failure to train staff on these issues does not excuse discriminatory conduct -- it explains why it occurred and underscores that it was entirely preventable. British Columbia's Accessible BC Act and the provincial Accessible BC Plan make clear that organizations -- including customer-facing businesses -- are expected to proactively identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers. This includes attitudinal and procedural barriers created by untrained staff. Accessibility plans are being phased in as a mandatory requirement, and staff education is a core component of compliance. Accessibility is no longer aspirational or optional; it is a legislated expectation. Disabled patrons should not be treated as live training scenarios. We should not be required to endure exclusion or humiliation so that a business can later claim it has "learned" obligations that already exist under law. Until Ignite Pizzeria demonstrates that accessibility is embedded into its policies, training, and daily operations -- rather than offered as an after-the-fact excuse -- I cannot recommend this establishment to disabled individuals or those who care about inclusive and lawful business practices. Accessibility delayed is accessibility denied.

The owner seems to always be there, great guy and remembers me even though I'm only there every 3 months or so , friendly staff, clean and pie is always ready in 20 minutes. Recently there has been a change, I believe it has changed ownership. I was there in late September 2025 and it wasn't the usual experience. The usual owner guy wasn't there. They were extremely busy. I had to call twice to get through and it took over 30 min for the pie. It was over cooked and lacked toppings. I checked the gggle review and plenty complaints about quality and end of an era type comments. For the most part they were answered by the proprietor with apologies. I decide to give them another chance and am glad I did. No issues. Perfect Greeks style pie exactly as it has been for years. See attached picture I assume there must have been a short term issue but it has been resolved as far as my experience.

Andiamo's Pizza & Pasta House in Maple Ridge - 20726 Lougheed Hwy…read more We tried the Meat Good and Butter Chicken pizzas, and OMG - hands down the BEST Butter Chicken pizza in Maple Ridge! Real, HUGE chunks of chicken, perfect-sized tomatoes and onions, and that buttery sauce? I'm wondering if they went next door to GM for those top-notch ingredients! We've had other Butter Chicken pizzas in town, but none even come close. The Meat Good pizza was loaded with layered meat but wasn't soggy at all - you know how some meat pizzas can get? The cheese on both? Absolute perfection! I saw they only have a 3.8 rating online and honestly, why?? Must be from the previous ownership because this place is a gem. The owners/family were so friendly too! We live across town in Yennadon, and I passed at least 6 pizza spots to get to Andiamo's - and guess what? I'll keep doing it! Seriously, check out these photos! Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!

The one in particular that I ordered was the D'silva Delight. This menu item reminded me of the Mona 's smile pizza I used to order from Simpatico's Taverna from many years ago. The D'silva pizza contains spicy salami, shrimp, onions, bacon crumble, mushrooms and green peppers. I added extra toppings of shrimp and ham to tone down the spice level of the salami which hit the spot for me! The pizza arrived juicy and even better than expected. The cheese blend was just melted and the bacon crumble was moist and not dry! My family ordered the meat heads only with extra bbq chicken topping. They loved that pizza too. The only small criticism I have is with their pizza crust which was not the traditional in-house made yeast raised dough. I think with inflation and rising food costs sacrifices have to be made for a business to stay affordable. I can understand and overlook that. Besides they have been in business for more than 30 years so that means their recipes and quality have staying power. Lucky for us the owners have renewed their lease for another 5 years. I know where to visit now to get my new favorite pizza.
