Oh my oh my. if you don't visit this restaurant then you're missing out. Each dishes we ordered was a total hit. Everything on the menu was made with perfection!!! It has been a month since I been to the restaurant, but I still can't forget or get over how great it was.... You can see how passionate the boss is with everything he does including the chef (his wife). Honestly, you can order anything and it will be amazing.

Fantastic service! We were served by the owner who is multilingual. We initially thought it was a tourist trap even though there are 4.8 stars according to google reviews. However that is not the case! The owner is super passionate about the foods and was able to describe them to us with detail. His wife was making some of the dishes and we thought it was incredibly cute how he would gush about her cooking. Local business with very flavorful food and experience. We were surprised that all of the food we ordered totaled to only 56€. Very affordable compared to NY but it might be on the higher side given the portions compared to other local shops. Very yummy experience and would love to visit again.

I LOVE this place. I was here for a week in Porto and stopped here twice. I probably would have went another time. But they are closed Sunday. The man that owns this place is the nicest man in the whole world. He made you feel welcome. Explained everything. And the food was delicious and came out quickly. Was very reasonably priced.

    Portuguese breakfast, all included

A must-go breakfast or lunch spot. Had the Portuguese breakfast which was so good and cheap, decided to comeback again another day for lunch which was also delicious. The service as well was exceptional, so kind and hospitable. 11/10

Delicious food. Unbelievably kind owners. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Porto.

Best breakfast in Porto. So good that I spent my two mornings in Porto in the establishment. There is a breakfast set that includes scrambled eggs, rustic bread toast with jam, a choice of specialty toast (chestnut, pumpkin, carrot) with jam, fresh OJ, and coffee, for 8.20 euros. The bread is so good I wish I could have it everyday. And the jams! We couldnt leave Porto without taking a few with us. Also tried the flame grilled linguica, which is cooked table-side, and was served with strawberry pepper jam- sweet and savoury perfection. The owner speaks English and is extremely personable and sweet. He manages the establishment with his wife, who was so nice. She noticed my interest in the jams and let me sample all of them, even ones that they didn't already have open. This couple is a true emblem of hospitality.

This. Place. Is. Fantastic! If you love cheese- you…read moreabsolutely have to eat here. The menu was so tempting that we had a hard time making decisions. We started with the seia cheese and smoked ham croquettes. They did not disappoint! Ooey gooey goodness served with a lovely quince sauce that left us wanting to lick the plate. We settled on sharing the smoked sausage rice served in a spent seia cheese shell. Words cannot even begin to explain how incredibly decadent this dish was. It was more than enough to share, yet even as we were both full we could not stop indulging in it. It became richer as the steaming hot rice sausage and vegetable mixture continued to melt more of the sidewall cheese into the combination. We also could scoop melty cheese directly off the wall inside the bowl. I didn't think about it at the time, but if we had saved the crisps that are served with complementary olives on arrival we could have spread some of the cheese onto them as well. Alas- hopefully someone else can give that a try on our recommendation. Although too full for dessert, the cocoa cake was recommended as a house specialty. It is really more of a rich chocolate brownie or torte and is served with an incredible salted caramel sauce and topped with a dainty scoop of a fantastic goat cheese ice cream with flavoring along the lines of a creamy cheesecake. Such an absolutely lovely meal served by wonderful staff! Reuben and Maria made us feel very welcome and the staff at Rei Dos Queijos apparently speak every language there is. 4 mixed drinks, appetizer, shared entree and dessert €54. Not too shabby!

Would highly recommend for someone that doesn't stray to far from " typical " desserts. Everyone around us was sharing a cheese and/or meat plate as appetizer than an entree for two as well. We also had some white wine with that we had the cheapest by the glass but it went perfectly we everything we had. And really not expensive wine with a great taste. Would gladly go back !!
