Calling smoky mountain pet resort they were so friendly and informative. We ran into some issues coming down with the weather and the bad drivers. Calling the facility they were very understanding and helped us out. The outside of the facility was deceiving since it looked like a warehouse. inside was super clean and welcoming. This is a family owned and run operation. There are several generations running this kennel. Their love of dogs is very clear. Our dog enjoyed his stay and was pooped out on the way home which is always an indication for him that he enjoyed his time.

When I dropped her off, the staff came out in the waiting room to meet her, and spend a few minutes making sure she was comfortable. They encouraged me to call and check on her as much as I wanted and said I could visit her during the day. I loved how open they were because some places are annoyed when you call to check on your animals. When I picked my girl up, she seemed healthy and happy. We'll definitely be back again if she needs a place to stay.

My name is Judith Morales...I moved from atlanta to Dalton...with 3 fur boys...I went to Dalton…read morewith my schnauzer that had bladder stones...the doctor in atlanta told me to just wait until he could not pee and then take him to the emergency......so there was blood in his urine once again...living in Dalton...I decided to take him to a vet in Dalton.....I go to Dalton north...they had Dalton north and south at that time....anyway this young vet comes in.....I am 67 at that time....she was so simple...walked in like she was family.....did the test and said I need to take him for bladder surgery and not wait for him not to be able to pee...so I did.... He was a happy boy....then later on he ended up being diabetic...oh by the way I am talking about Dr summer Faith....she took care of us...and my boy made it a couple of happy years........

Todd is amazing with them - all we have to do is tell them they're going to see Todd and they immediately begin to bark, run to the truck, jump in and out and do the same sorts of things when we arrive. It's a bit of a drive for us but well worth it when we pick them up and they're still happy boys. We tried a couple of other kennels with our first two German Shepherds but they just didn't quite measure up - unless Todd closes down (please NO!), he'll continue seeing the Kole dogs on a regular basis. I was told that my dog WOULD NOT be allowed in "group play" being that he is over 7 months and not neutered. I took him to the vet to get the vaccinations required to be at daycare. At first I was happy to hear that an accommodation could be made for my dog to interact with humans and get out for some potty breaks. I only needed 3 hours to take an exam. I brought in his breakfast and came back 3 hours later to get my dog. When I walked in his food was still out in the lobby.... The employee or owner (unsure) who greeted me asked who I was there to pick up. I told her my dog's name and she said "wow he hasn't been here very long. I haven't gotten a chance to meet him yet." I thought that was bizarre... then what was he doing? 2 days later I received his "report card" which included the photo I posted below. My dog was in fact in group play. Not only could he have gotten another dog pregnant... he came home with kennel cough. Another vet bill later he is okay.... But still. What on earth are they doing in there? How many other "accommodations" are they making that aren't kept?? Maybe another dog didn't need to get a bordetella vaccination and that's how mine came home with it? I don't know but a 30$ stay for 3 hours (including the price to just make an account) plus over $300 in vet bills later. I'm not happy and would never recommend this facility to someone. I truly hope no one came home with puppies because I know that is a lot more than $300. PSA if your dog stayed here on July 14, 2025 they may also have kennel cough or be pregnant.
