I was a little weary at first of how 15 minutes could help--don't I need more time?!--but it was perfect. Tim was so kind, but also very direct and wasted no time getting down to business. He obviously spent time getting to know my position and who I was ahead of time and had actionable items and feedback. I have utilized other resume workshops before, but honestly never felt like my time was utilized well or gave me specific feedback to improve. Definitely an opposite experience with Tim. I now know a few tweaks to add in to improve my resume despite having a job that didn't fit in to the examples he provided, but nonetheless very helpful. I would suggest their services to anyone wanting to get an edge up on other applicants.

He helped me get very clear about next-steps in my current resume and then take steps in transforming my resume to a good one. Investing in taking time to talk to Tim was worth it. So it shouldn't have surprised me to find myself needing a Texas attorney to review an agreement. But it couldn't just be any attorney. I needed someone who could review an agreement that I had already done my best to negotiate, and who was familiar with this type of agreement, confidentiality and intellectual property issues. So, it couldn't be a typical family or personal injury lawyer. But it also couldn't be a hugely expensive corporate lawyer. And ideally it would be someone who was familiar with technology. Which brings us to Allen. A former engineer who specializes in exactly this kind of agreement and is willing to take small jobs seriously. He spotted a major issue in the draft of the agreement and explained to me (and to the company's attorney) what the problem was. Thanks to him I was able to avoid a some serious long term risk and successfully negotiate the deal.
