Because I am a frequent user of the practice's patient portal, I do not mind the $50 administrative fee because I feel it is necessary to balance out the extra work that they have because of the patient portal. For patients with EDS, this office is a godsend as so few doctors acknowledge the disorder, more or much less treat the disorder. I appreciate the added bonus of having in-house counseling and the in-house lab. Every time I go in, I am greeted warmly and well taken care by the administrative staff and medical professionals.

My opinion of Dr. Joshua Holland is the exact opposite of the care I received from him while I was his patient. I was a patient for many years. I recently had an awakening and realized his care was substantially sub-standard now that I am a patient of a competent and compassionate provider who cares about their patients enough to spend more than five minutes in an office visit. Someone who listens to what I have to say, and spends enough time to gather all of the information. My honest opinion of Dr. Holland is that it was a huge inconvenience and waste of his time seeing me as his patient. It usually seemed to me that he was already on his way out of the exam room after five minutes. The symptoms of the final reason for which I sought help from him that was not addressed, nor explored for further informaion.I can say more about his lack of concern for me as his patient, but to be more succinct,I cannot in good conscience recommend him as a physician to anyone. I am thankful that I did find a very comprehensive treatment philosophy from my new physician. And yes, my significant current health issues is one of the reasons I sought help, from Dr. Holland. It's my opinion, to which I am entitled, after having been one of his patients and a consumer, for many years, that his services as a licensed physician, were not satisfactory and did not meet a level of compassion I expect in a physician.

I don't quite see how that's the MD's fault or Summit Medical Groups' fault or Paseo Family Physicians Group's fault. I, for one, have not had any issues with this clinic at all. The horrible virus affecting everyone in the Valley landed on me... coughing... sore throat... stuffy head... congestion... the whole ball of wax. Dr. Tolson always takes time to listen to me before just chucking a prescription at me. He always asks how I'm doing and how everything else is going, overall. The front desk reception staff is pleasant and I even called this morning to see if they had a last minute opening and they did! The waiting area is clean, quiet and comfortable. The MA's (like Tandi) are friendly, accommodating and if/when I do have a prescription - it is filled promptly, accurately and efficiently. I didn't have to wait long before I got called back by the MA. She took my vitals and asked the reason for my visit. Dr. Patel came in within 10 mins after. During this visit I felt the process was more rushed than the last. I was quickly seen and "diagnosed". I was told I would be treated for my untreated cough and a follow up within the next couple of weeks if I'm not doing better. My other concerns of anxiety and fatigue was not resolved due to the Doctors recommendation of treating the cough first since it might cure the fatigue and anxiety. I wasn't a fan of the nurse whom, I had the last time as well. She seems too comfortable in her job and uncaring. Banged on the door, talked to someone outside the door, then entered. Said "you either get better or you don't" regarding the medicine I was prescribed, not the nicest person whom works in the medical field.

In a day and age of severe lack of customer service this was a breath of fresh air. Sharon was the caring receptionist and appointment giver. Her wonderful inviting personality started our experience on the absolute right foot. Then there was beautiful Esther who took my husband's vitals and prepared us for the doctor. She was a total joy and such a sweet conversationalist. She made us so comfortable. Then there was Ruby, the doctor's assistant, who with her smile and winning way only heightened this positive experience. Then Dr Prutzman... I cannot express how wonderful he is. He walks into a room with confidence and yet a warmth that is extremely rare. Words elude us in our confidence in him.
