I was told by the Owner as well as the Mechanic that they did a bunch of test and that I would need to replace the Radiator, the Water Pump, and the Thermostats, in addition, they did a flush. After doing all that work and charging me over $2,000, my car was still overheating. They could not explain, after doing all that work why my vehicle kept overheating. They then came to a decision that I would need to change out the catalytic converter and both oxygen sensors. That was gonna cost another $2,000+. I chose not have them work on my car any further. When I first met the owner he claimed that he has qualified and experienced Mechanics. Given my experience, that would not seem to be the case, therefore, I do not recommend Akin Auto Care.

Beckwith's replaced the engine in my classic 1998 Chevy C1500 Silverado with a remanufactured unit…read more I'm very happy with the work performed. I have run the engine for just over 500 miles and the engine has performed perfectly. I would have given Beckwith's 5 stars if they had been more proactive in their communicating how far along the work had progressed. Once I agreed to have them do the work they did not keep me up to date. I had to call them to determine their progress on the work.

I educated him, I know what is wrong with it and you can give me an estimate. He replied, "No, we need information off your car." My response was you can get that with the VIN #, he went silent, no you just need to bring it in. I didn't ask for exact price, I asked for an estimate only. Very discombobulated, they will not earn my business. Seems little shady to me on first impression.

Look No Further, Go to Kenneth's! If you've been going to the dealership, STOP!! Here's why…read more Today I came in stressed. My 2013 VW Beetle Convertible had what looked like a serious window leak during a massive rainstorm and on top of that my brake light was out. The dealership couldn't even see me until Thursday! (Today is Monday). Grayson got me in today. He and his master mechanic Tommy personally took a hose to my car to diagnose the leak with no runaround. As it turns out, it wasn't the catastrophic leak I feared. At the same time, Tommy replaced my brake light quickly and efficiently. And, Grayson took great care of me- without a doubt amazing and straight up outstanding customer service. All my problems are resolved. Whew!!!! These guys are honest, knowledgeable, and they actually care. And to top it off, Grayson even identified the likely cause of my heat issue that the dealership wanted to fix the expensive way. All through a quick conversation and review of my car's issues. I'll be bringing my car back to fix that in a few weeks. Kenneth's Car Care has earned all my future business for brakes, heat, oil changes, and more. Don't waste your time and money at the dealership or another repair shop. Come here first. You will be glad you did.

This is probably the worse shop in Kingwood for body work. Customer beware. If I give them credit…read morefor anything positive, the paint looks pretty good on my car. Other than that they totally failed. The day the car was towed in I met with a service tec who told me they would start tearing down the truck the next day to do an estimate. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing I called. I was told my service tech no longer worked there. I told the lady on the phone, "that's your problem not mine." So then I got a new service tech who repeatedly mislead me, missed deadlines, never retuned calls. What's more, I told him I had an aftermarket grill panel and was told that State Farm would only pay for Ford stock items. So I told him, I had the original chrome Ford grill out in my garage and they could use that one and I dropped it off. He asked if they should compare my old grill to the one they were ordering from a used parts house and I said NO. When I came to finally pick up my truck they had used the new used grill anyway. The cost was only $288, and since I had waited 6 weeks for my truck I just decided to take it anyway. Then a few days later I get a final estimate from State Farm and that $288 grill now cost $950!!!!!! Are you kidding me? It's plastic and I plan to remove it anyway and replace with the aftermarket grill. So State Farm is the one being ripped off. Maybe I should just let it go but it galls me that they would rip everyone off at the last minute. My final bill went up $2000! That is just criminal. I have no idea if a guy named Kenneth still owns the place but if he does, he must own a mansion and have membership at Kingwood Country Club with all the scammed money he has made. 1 star is the lowest and that is what Kenneth's gets. Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware!

Eric was very patient with me and he was able to determine that it was actually a fan that had gone bad. I wasn't a big fan of the price that I got for everything but I really needed my air conditioning fixed. I looked online and that specific fan is only $80, and I was charged over $200 for it. They did fix my issue, However, that same day my car stalled and would not startup, I had to get a tow truck to take me home. I went back to Eric's the next day to explain what happened and he said he would check it out. I ended up taking my car somewhere else and they determined that the newly installed fan was missing some plugs that were not plugged in causing a short in the ground wire making all my fuses get blown and causing a misfire. I had to pay over $500 to get the issue fixed, plus $240 for 2 tow truck trips. I won't say that I won't ever go here again, they DID fix my AC issue, however I would really recommend their mechanics double check their work when replacing new parts that have multiple plugs.
