Is was nasty out and confirmed I had a coolant leak and probably would need a coil replacement. I was quoted a price of $4,300 ish. There was no 10 year warranty on the new construction as the contractor had not registered my system with the manufacturer. I requested and received quotes on a new system, with a 10 year warranty. Didn't want to put that much on a credit card. I took a deep breath and opted for the coil replacement. Throughout the entire process, each individual I spoke to was searching for cost lowering alternatives. At no time was there any of the "up selling" nightmares we have heard over the years. End of day, the tech came to install my $4,300 coil job. He took it upon himself to inspect the system under favorable weather conditions and repair the leak he had discovered. He literally save me thousands of dollars. I highly recommend 4 Seasons. I have never had an issue with them.

It was the price that concerned me for a 6 year warranty water heater (the lowest, cheapest water heater) installed. I would have possibly negotiated for a better water heater, but the initial quote from Titanz really put me off. Well above market price, including all the permits required. Install won't happen for a couple of days. I get scheduling, so not too bad of hit. I've since installed the top of the line 12 year water heater (because I'm a nerd). The tech should have known I knew what I was doing (see nerd reference) since I've replaced both heater elements, both thermostats and the anode rod. I see the leak at the weld point of the top element (nerd with magnifying glasses). I've done my research and have maintained and installed water heaters in the past. I don't mind supporting local business, but dang guys: know your audience.

The first year, the unit actually pulled away from the wall because it hadn't been installed correctly. Today, we had it serviced by another company (Martin Air in Port Charlotte), and was told that there were numerous leaks around the unit when it was installed. The technician today also mentioned that the Freon level was almost 3 pounds low. This explains why our air conditioner has been running non-stop. A few weeks ago my upstairs A/C was being examined at the start of its semi-annual checkup. The associate notified me that the air handler in the attic was dropping its insulation from within, and this would create a problem with continuing the standard semi-annual checkup. This necessitated scheduling an associate on a different day to basically rebuild the air handler. Understandably this was a long project through the day but was completed to our satisfaction. QUALITY: The different associates whom we have seen over a long period of time have been exceptionally professional and courteous. VALUE: Everyone decides what they describe as value. For us it's the confidence that our A/C units will work through the summer and winter year after year. Having a service agreement gives us that peace of mind. SUMMARY: These people have demonstrated exceptional courtesy (every phone call is a new pleasant greeting, every time). One has to have trust in the service people with whom they do business. This company installed our A/C and, ever since, this system has been giving us problems multiple times a year. After some research, I decided to call another company. Barry from Blue Bear came out and conducted a very thorough evaluation. He laid out all of our options clearly and showed us pictures and discovered our whole house filter wasn't changed by the previous company for a very long time, even though we have a maintenance plan.
