For a chinese buffet, Daisy has got amazing food for the price you pay. Their breaded shimp is nicely done, NOT covered in an inch of bisquik then deep fried. Their buffet has a good variety for a small restaurant, the waitresses are very friendly and quick with a smile. If they had a bigger buffet, I think they'd be perfect! UPDATE!! Here it is 2 years later since this review and sadly, I had to drop the 4 star rating to a 3. The buffet is now a step below what it used to be, the selection is a bit more boring, we went in for a dinner buffet, which states it begins at 4:30, food started coming out at 5:05. In that time our waitress got me a coffee when we walked in at 4:20, and I had to flag her down after 5 to get a refill, she didn't check on us once during our wait time. I may have even dropped it down another star if it wasn't for the fact that they STILL make the best shrimp around, crispy, golden, NOT over battered and the sand vein removed, which a LOT of buffet place don't even bother to do. The shrimp alone is worth that extra star, and since it's a buffet, have many! On a side note, most of their breaded or battered selections do NOT overbatter, nicely done. The chicken and vegetable dish was OK - at least sort-of edible. Chicken a bit funky. The two noodle dishes were inedible. Shanghai Noodles were too mushy to eat. The Pad Thai was just sad - a mound of dry rice noodles - with barely any sauce - with some pitiful broccoli, carrots, mushroom bits, and some peanuts on top. It didn't even resemble Pad Thai. The absolute worst Chinese buffet I have ever visited. At 7pm, when so many other restaurants in Peterborough were packed, this place was deserted. That should have been the tip off. A few slices of cucumber and a bit of sliced lettuce floating in water was the complete extent of the salad bar. Satay chicken in peanut sauce. There was one piece in the server tray. It was glued to the stainless steel by the dry and hardened sauce. Nothing was plentiful save for the chicken fried rice. They must have felt bad because they brought us out some egg rolls and some fresh vegetable chowmein. There was almost no dessert available. Honest to goodness it felt like we had visited a buffet in a third world country. If I get sick, the health department will know about it. I will also be sure to mention the missing acoustic tiles in the filthy ceiling, a big health code violation right there. Something good? We shared a pot of jasmin tea that was nice. One star is even too much for this place, their food looks nothing like what other Chinese food looks like from other places and when they forget a part of your order instead of apologizing they blame you and refuse to reimburse you or bring you the food you ordered originally Wouldent recommend to my worst enemy read more

Inedible. We left after not even eating a complete meal. We were the only ones in the restaurant on Saturday at 6:30pm. Water glass was never refilled. Buffet was empty & what was there was ice cold. Plus the food had a rancid taste. We are praying that we don't get ill. read more
