I hired Daisy Mountain Painting to paint the exterior of my home. I chose the upgraded package, which included better quality paint, spray application and an additional roll application, plus an extended warranty. The biggest issue I had with them is: Quality of work Deceiving language / fine print in the contract making warranty work claims almost impossible to honor. For example, they have a clause in the contract that states you have to have a complaint from your HOA first. Before the work was done the owner was pleasant but the second I had him out to look at issues he became immediately dismissive and condescending. Casey is a good salesman, very friendly. Sadly, he isnt the one who paints the houses. The workers were a different story. We paid for the "premium option" where there was a hand rollered layer.. didnt happen. Casey said he prides themselves on raking rock back for overspray... didnt happen, spray all over the rocks. patchy work under the rafters, missed spots, the works. Overall just a quick tape job and speed through then on to the next house. I contacted the office and sent pictures, took weeks for a reply from the receptionist, only to say that Casey would need to schedule a call. That never happened. I just gave up because the color didn't end up coming out well anyway, so were going to eventually re-paint... with another company. read more

The whole process of getting a bid, choosing colors, working with Carefree Crossing HOA, and then with Jose went fairly well and simple. Casey's a pro at this, and it shows. His laptop app which shows you what your house looks like after new paint was the deal maker. The other 3 bids were all competitive and close that this made Casey stand out. We chose colors, got the HOA process going, and then about a month later Jose showed up on time, friendly and very professional. He's a trooper, and impressed me on how long he worked in the heat that week. He did a good job of raking the rocks, back, and detail work. We bought a house and wanted the inside and outside to be painted. We had Casey and his crew paint our home after getting multiple different bids. We chose Daisy Mountain as they provided the best explanation and suggestions for what needed to be painted and why. We worked out a time frame for the job and, as we were moving in as the painting was going to be done, had them help us move items of furniture around the house as needed. They did a great job painting the inside and out. We have had homes of ours painted many times in the past and you always find little things that were missed or needed a little more attention. I was in need of finding a painting service after the three other painters who are supposed to give me estimates flaked on me. Within one hour of my inquiry, this company got back to me with two different estimates. I gave them my specs and the paint colored I needed for my house, and everything was set. I did have to reschedule the painting services once, as it was raining. The office manager was extremely responsive and quick to reschedule a time that worked around my needs.The crew came out two days in a row, and took care of everything. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results, and I've had plenty of compliments from my neighbors about their work! I found this company to be very honest, reliable and affordable. This might be my first review, and unfortunately it's a very negative one. First off. Anyone can paint a house. I could have done it, but the attention to detail is what I lack and the patience. 95% of the paint job is with a sprayer. The 5% of the job is why I hired someone else to do it. That 5% is what I have issues with and unfortunately will be the most memorable for me. March or April 2019 - house gets painted. Upon completion, I text Casey the owner that overall everything looked great, but there were some issues I had. I.E. paint dribbled all through my brand new turf, paint dribbled along the roof, paint dribbled on driveway and walkways, sprayed paint on nearly every edge tile along roof line. Casey was quick to respond. They handled about 40% of the issues. May 2019 - continued to let Casey know there were some issues. Responded but didn't dispatch anyone. April 2020 - was up on my roof and noticed more issues. Casey says how disappointed he was in the crew that painted my house and he would talk to his Project Manager. June 2020 - silence. No word. I text Casey at 11:26. Yes I knew it was late, but I'm pretty ticked at this point and I had it on my mind. YES, I know Covid-19 hit. Yes I know it was late at night. My concerns aren't due to 'a little bit of paint'. It's A LOT of paint, all over. My 13 year old kid could have done a nicer job than his crew, which earlier text messages Casey says "You're making my stomach upset...no more pictures. We will get this fixed." Casey, I WAS happy. I don't like babysitting people I pay to do a PROFESSIONAL job. Point being, the job was hardly professional. You made up for it with tentativeness. Which was quickly lost after job was paid in full. Here's our messages: ME: Sorry it's late. What happened with your talk with your PM? CASEY: Yes. Kind of an asshole move to text that late. I will ask John about it today. It will get taken are of. In the grand scheme of things going on in the world this is minor ME: Wow. Are you kidding me? What's an asshole thing to do is blow off a pissed off client this long. In the grand scheme of things, you guys did a shit job and I've been pretty silent about it. CASEY: You texted at 11:30 at night and woke up my wife. It was an asshole move We will get it fixed. It's a little bit of paint on the roof tile. ME: Unbelievable. You know how many referrals I've given to you? Believe me, the latter is much more effecting on your business. Stay away from my house. I'll get a capable and respectful painter. Put your phone on do not disturb. Respond to your clients in less than a year and you won't get 11:30 texts. Prick. CASEY: That's your call. You're being a baby about some paint on the roof tile. I told you we would fix it I made a mistake with all the stuff going on in the world. This could've waited till normal business hours asshole If you want respect treat people with respect. Unacceptable to call a business owners private cell phone number instead of our office number at 11:30 at night and not expect this. In my opinion this was a private call. Our office number is 623-551-3156 ME: I can understand the frustration about a text message at 11:30. My bad. Sorry it woke your wife. But to call the client an asshole? Now a baby? CASEY: And I'm sorry as well. If you want to move past this I can get someone to take care of it or I can send you a check for $100 your call ME: Thanks. But no. Take care. My suggestions: 1 - when a client has an issue, you go out there and make them happy. Or have a PM that does it (because he did not). 2 - don't let issues go on for more than 2-3 weeks. We live in Anthem and eventually got the HOA letter that it was time to paint. We sort of knew it but now it was officially required. We had been looking around at house colors we liked and had been watching as others in our neighborhood were getting their homes done. I saw the trucks for Daisy Mountain Painting sitting in front of some houses and they were all turning out to look great. Not just nicely painted, but really great colors and better contrasting paint schemes than the builder did. So that's who we called. Casey, the owner came by during the day (we were working) and took photos and wrote up an estimate. It was very comprehensive and had options for paint grades and even what it would cost to paint the interior of the block wall in the back yard and the gate (that needed it!) The price was less than I expected (how is that possible). We had planned high so it was a nice surprise and we opted for the "best" paint quality and added the block wall and gate painting. We went to the office and Casey showed us paint colors and had our house picture on a big computer screen and we got "paint" it different colors to see ahead of time what would look good. We decided on colors and he submitted the paperwork to the HOA and we scheduled the job for a couple weeks out. The guys showed up around 8am and spent plenty of time prepping, taping, removing the lights from the garage. They patched cracks, woodpecker holes, and the like for no extra charge. I got home that night and the majority of the house was done -- in one day. Amazing. It looked great already. They had some things to do yet like contrasting paint colors and garage doors, but this was such an improvement so far. They were efficient and knew what they were doing. 2-1/2 days or so was all it took and they cleaned up everything nicely. The paint itself is so, so much better quality than what the builder did. They removed the wood slats from the gate and painted those separately. Very nice. I couldn't be happier. In fact, we had them come back and paint our front and back patio concrete recently. Casey is a rare business owner in that he is personally interested in making sure every customer is happy. He offers up ideas for color and has a true knack for his craft. read more

Just an update, had to repaint the tower or cathedral on my house in less than 5 1/2 years in April of 2020. The previous color was bleeding through the brown top coat of paint. The painters did not use much paint on the house, possibly only 2 mils of paint and would not recommend them to anyone. I guess I will wait until they remove this post from the internet. The part that makes me angry is the Plantation Brown on the contract isn't the brown that was used to paint the house. I had to have a custom color match at Dunn Edwards to match the existing color. I chose Daisy Mountain in 2011 to paint the exterior or my prior home. I later moved to a new home that we purchased from the builder. After a few years we were tired of the original builder flat paint and decided to repaint the interior of our home floor to ceiling. After having such a positive experience with DMP We did not hesitate to call them back to paint our new home in Anthem. Being in the construction trades myself, when I got Casey's Estimate I knew it was a fair price for the high caliber work his company is known for. Upon accepting the proposal Casey set a date that was agreeable to us. The crew along with the project manager showed up on time daily. Their work was efficient and the painters were clearly true professionals. They knew how to cut in around anything perfectly and the walls were consistent and evenly coated. At the end of each day they left our house as clean as it was when they started (which my wife is a clean freak). The project manager checked in daily to insure we were fully satisfied throughout the project. When everything was wrapped up he did a final walk through with the crew and us. When we decided we wanted to have our house repainted we called Casey with Daisy Mountain Painting as we had used him on our previous house. Casey came to our house and provided the color scheme of what we wanted on the house. Casey mentioned that it would look a little different and possibly have a heavy blue tone that the computer would not show. He had come out for an estimate and we were talking about my husband's late schedule and he offered to meet us after church on a Sunday. He said I just got divorced and have nothing going on so he would be able to accommodate us. Mind you I never asked him to do this, he offered. I called to schedule the color consultation and he said he wouldn't do it and I could find myself another painter. I reminded him that he was the one to offer. I wouldn't have ever presumed to have someone do me a favor and now he has made me feel flustered and embarrassed. I drove from San Diego, CA to Anthem, AZ in order to get some repair work done on our rental home and found that something had happened to the stain that was put on our front gate about 3 years ago. I called Daisy Mountain and was told that we were out of warranty, but that they'd send someone by to check it out. A few days later, a very nice gentleman came out and agreed that the condition of the stain was odd only after a few years and that the product must have been defective, so he agreed to redo the door for us AT NO CHARGE. I must have been assigned the "b" crew, because the quality of work on my house was horrible. If they assign you Jesus' team, beware of quality issues. The prep work was poor, crack repairs showed through the final coat (improper priming of the repair). They left masking tape on over the weekend, which left residue on my security door and new lock hardware. Paint is already flaking off of my front door, after just a few months.
