    Priced $3 and paid $6

Today I shopped at Daiso (Fillmore) and brought 8 items totaling to $42.08. Everything I purchased was labeled $3 leas than the pricing I received at the counter. All pricing is labeled $3 less than the initial charge. I will no longer support this company due to the over charge (no signs indicate the increase in pricing). Be aware before you purchase.

Tight quarters. Narrow aisles. Fewer merchandise. If I drop in again it'll be for a box of S&B's Golden Curry. It's stocked in many supermarkets but somehow it feels like a good buy here. What I observed were several self checkout stations. I only wore my lookee loo hat on this visit but plan to give it a try next time.

So excited to have access to a Daiso here in the Sunset / Parkside area! If you've never been to a Daiso, it's a Japanese dollar store that carries a wide array of surprisingly high quality items. I have purchased drill bits at Daiso before, and they work just as well as name brand ones for my purposes. If one is a stationary aficionado, check out the paper and pens on offer: Japanese paper is well known for its value and ability to handle fountain pens. As to this specific Daiso, it is a bit smaller than those in Japantown or Serramonte. However, as for the basics of kitchen utensils, chair socks, car sun shades, and the like, this Daiso will serve just as well as any other. Special note: this Daiso is located on the mezzanine level, near the Target in Stonestown, so if you're looking for this store, look up.

Daiso had been the first to appear in SF before Miniso as the most popular discount store. Joining the rest of the Japanese businesses like Uniqlo and Matcha Café Maiko, half of Stonestown Galleria had slowly become the shopping center of J-Town. You ought to buy most of any items in Daiso that costs as low as $1.5 each. Other items, once again, were a little expensive. So this could be a good shopping experience, especially for those who have low income. The pictures below were my best purchases. Non instant GreeNoodle packets and Uji matcha glass bottle soft drinks were one of the greatest selections. Daiso in Stonestown Galleria now has its self-service machines you can use if you use your credit card. A good way to make up for the other Daiso that was out of business in Market st of the Financial District.

Huge long lines for the grand opening. So excited to see Daiso in the neighborhood. I was fortunate to be on the other side of the mall due to the long lines and was entertained by Taikoo drums and an unexpected ribbon cutting by London Breed. Still waiting to get in. OK , I finally got in and bought a few gardening supplies and food. There were self checkouts as Well as cash registers. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. At the self checkout , there were staff on hand to help if needed and Apple Pay was excepted. As expected, a little chaotic on grand opening day and prices were not clearly marked because you have to convert the yen price to $ on the charts nearby. Daiso is a great place for cute and innovative items. Definitely will be back to peruse more leisurely.

Much smaller than Daiso SF Japantown (and Daiso Serramonte) but decent selection. Pleasant staff.

Before coming in here today, I drove around SF & Daly City looking to buy helium for balloons. My cousin couldn't find any for her daughters birthday which was in an hour!! Walmart was sold out. Target was closed. I had called Home Depot, it was said they have them in stock, went there and none to be found. Started googling, and this store popped up. I called and asked if they have HELIUM TANKS FOR SALE TO BLOW UP BALLONS, the girl who answered the phone said yes they sell helium tanks, a tank for $8, bigger tanks are more. So of course I drove there. Went in and said told them I just called, can I see the tanks, and the girl (in a hijab) showed me a helium tank. THEIR helium tank that they use to blow up their balloons for sale. I said thanks and left. Did a lot of texting with my cousins and she was at Lucky's down the street. She waited FOREVER, so she asked me to bring the balloons back here and get them blown up. Each ballon was $3, we had 26, total $85 (+tax) They also have balloons for sale, they have a huge variety of balloons taped top of the wall for you to choose from, and guess what? They're $3/ea! Not $1.50 or less. I'm grateful they were open, esp on this holiday where stores were closed. Both girls were really nice and patient. I felt kind of bad because their line was getting long, and I was holding up the line because I was getting many balloons blown up.

The total costs are usually cheaper than many of the grocery stores around (even with delivery/service charges). While I always enjoy the thrill of never knowing what I'll find at Grocery Outlet when I go in person, getting delivery from this particular Grocery Outlet has been particularly helpful. It gives me a preview of what they have in stock beforehand, it prevents impulse purchases (I am OFTEN very guilty of this), and since I don't have a car in the city, it prevents me from having to lug a number of heavy items across the city. If you have yet to check out a Grocery Outlet - I highly suggest you remedying that and heading over in person waaaaysap. And if you're already a Grocery Outlet regular/fan and are nervous about grabbing a plethora of 'additional items' while shopping - you may want to look into doing some Grocery Outlet delivery...
