I was helping a friend find someone to make mala garlands for her son's wedding. It was only 2-3 weeks notice. I spoke with several places but felt that Aileen from Aloha leis was professional and reached out as soon as she could. The mala garlands turned out beautiful and my friend was very happy and her son said they were beautiful and the fragrance was wonderful. I compared prices with other places on line and it seemed to be around the same price range. The delivery was personal and was delivered with care. I will look to her when there are other special occasions!! read more

Providing me & my family the freshest and most beautiful leis for 10 years now... The cigar and christina leis I recently got were absolutely stunning. Give them a week's notice for special leis, but even on short notice they will come up with something, just depends on the flowers they can get. Get your graduation orders in now! Years ago I would order overnight from Hawaii - "no hassle that brah..." Forget the shipping, wondering if your leis will be crushed or brown from heat & travel. Get a hold of Aileen & her son to make you leis that look like they were strung hours before you pick them up - and they are the nicest folks too! read more

When my sister in law mentioned she had a seat reserved at her wedding for their mom who passed away 4 years ago, I wanted to bring something to honor my m.i.l and thought a lei would be perfect. Unfortunately due to short notice, I didn't have luck finding a shop to make one but when I called Aileen and explained to her my situation & how making it myself was my only option, she was so kind enough to guide me through each step and was very thoughtful to add tips which she didn't have to do. I will most definitely go to her for future occasions and look forward to meeting the beautiful lady I spoke to! read more

Highly recommend using Aileen for your Hawaiian flower and lei needs. I ordered a tea leaf lei with flowers for my nephews and it really makes them stand out, and be different from their classmates. Plus it is a nice reminder that we are from the islands. Around graduation time, Aileen will be able to honor last minute request but it is always better to order in advance. She will send you address of her home to pick up. read more

Aileen is the nicest woman ever! I love going to her because she IS the spirit of aloha and creates beautiful leis! Going to her makes me feel like I'm in Hawai'i, and makes me miss the islands more. She is quite a drive from Fremont and San Jose, but if you have a loved one that deserves a beautiful lei, then I recommend aloha leis. I will keep buying from Aileen, and I think you should too!! Aileen is awesome! I contacted her last minute to get graduation leis for my son and niece and she came through with two beautiful Ti leaf Leis just in time. Aileen was very helpful and was not even here but arranged for me to be able to pick them up just in time, much appreciated the Leis were fresh and beautiful. We planned a double garden Hawaii theme Birthday Party for a 50 year old and a 90 year old. I contacted Aloha Leis for 33 Purple Orchid Leis and 3 combination flower Leis. Aileen Camello, the owner, was more than wonderful. She was in Hawaii at the time but would have done the same arranging from California. She got the flowers, packed them protectively and shipped them on a Thursday by Fed X to arrive on Friday. We used them on Sunday and they were as fresh as if they were made that morning. They lasted more than a week as fresh as can be! We would buy flowers again and again from Aileen. She was excellent in every way. She's also delightful. S. Hill read more

Met Aileen at the Pleasanton Hawaii Festival, and gave her card to my mother in law, who ordered lei's for my father in law's 80th birthday. They were gorgeous, well priced, and my mother in law had no problems getting them. She's fantastic and I recommend going to her for leis. She owns land in Hawaii and has her flowers shipped, she's the real deal. read more

Last Valentines Day, our Hawaiian music duo, Pulama played Aloha Grams for seven couples and we also played for a wedding party. Aileen at "Aloha Leis" worked with us to provide beautiful lei for the Aloha Gram recipients and for the wedding party. It was a pleasure to work with Aileen. I feel very lucky that I found Aloha Leis on Yelp. I had a big birthday celebration at the Tonga Room in San Francisco and Aileen's leis made the party! She communicated very well, gave me a price and delivered all 45 leis to the Fairmont. We kept them under refrigeration before the party and they looked amazing. I ordered the Delux Orchid for myself and it was the most beautiful lei I have ever seen. Aileen, thank you for making my birthday so special. read more

Mind-blowingly gorgeous flowers. Flipping through her website almost made me buy a ticket to Hawaii. All traditional styles from orchids to carnations are available. I purchased the Deep Sky Blue orchids, and a carnation and traditional purple orchid mix. Both were an amazing touch to my friend's otherwise amazing graduation. Aileen has been plying her craft out of Richmond, California for over 20 years, continuing a family legacy bearing four generations of Master lei-makers, including her 90-year-old, recently-retired grandma who operated a shop in Hawaii... probably for as long as the Aloha State has been a part of the union. In layman's terms, she's l-e-g-i-t. And you're not just buying ANY leis. In a passing conversation, she recounted a story of her following through on an 11th hour order of leis from THE Golden State Warriors. If it's good enough for Stephen Curry, it's good enough for you. Not that I've tried every flower shop in the greater Bay Area, but this is easily your best one-stop shop for authentic, beautifully-crafted leis (and I'm from Cupertino!). read more

I also found aileen on yelp and order a "manly" lei for my son's HS graduation. She did a wonderful job! I told her what type of thing I wanted and she definitely came through - exceeding my expectations. Price was reasonable. After some searching I found Kathy's address and phone number, and told Pierrette to use her artistic judgement as to the flowers and design. Tonight our couples book group met via Zoom. Kathy had the floral arrangement behind her so we could see it and it was indeed gorgeous. She was pleased w/ it and so were we. She took a photo of it and sent it to me at my request and I've posted it here so you can see it too. The process of ordering it was so smooth and easy. I would certainly use Petals and Stems again.

I hired Daisy to create my bridal bouquet for my wedding. We had specifically discussed and agreed…read moreupon a white bouquet featuring peonies and lily of the valley. Two hours before our scheduled pickup, I received a call informing me that lily of the valley was unavailable. While I was disappointed, I understood that flower availability can sometimes be unpredictable and was willing to work with a substitute. However, when I arrived to pick up my bouquet, I discovered that not only was lily of the valley missing, but there were no peonies either. Instead, the bouquet contained flowers and yellow tones that were completely different from the all-white design we had discussed and approved. At no point was I informed that peonies would not be included, nor was I contacted to review or approve a revised design. Because this occurred the day before my wedding and only hours before pickup, I had no realistic opportunity to make alternative arrangements in advance. We felt pressured to accept the bouquet we were given because of the timing. Ultimately, I was so unhappy with the final product that I purchased a replacement bouquet. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the process. Had I been notified earlier that the requested flowers could not be sourced, we could have discussed alternatives and approved a new design together. Instead, significant changes were made without our knowledge or consent. After returning from our honeymoon, I reached out to discuss the issue and request a refund. My message went unanswered. When my husband later spoke with her, our concerns were dismissed, and we were told that the flowers used were an "upgrade." Whether the replacement flowers were more expensive is beside the point--the bouquet delivered was not the bouquet we ordered or approved. We paid our invoice in full and even tipped before receiving the bouquet because we trusted that our wedding flowers would reflect what we had discussed. Unfortunately, the final product did not meet our expectations, and the lack of accountability afterward was equally disappointing. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this florist.
