Pierrette and her team did a fantastic job with my wedding floral design in July. Highly recommend. She did all florals: ceremony - a beautiful arch and bridal party florals, cocktail tables, welcome tables, dining tables. I gave her my vision with colors and flowers I liked / didn't - and she delivered exactly the feel I was going for. I loved my bridal bouquet especially. Icelandic poppies she selected were stunning, along with ranunculus, dahlias, garden roses, etc. Extremely custom. She has great attention to detail and worked with me on options for the ceremony and dining tables when I wasn't sure of the layout and needed to be flexible until closer to the day. Thank you Pierrette! read more

Our friend Kathy retired Thursday, April 30 and we wanted to send her celebratory flowers. She lives in El Sobrante, so I checked on Yelp for florists in the vicinity and Stems and Petals came up. I called Thursday morning and spoke w/ Pierrette, who was very sweet, helpful and patient w/ the fact that I was not particularly organized in the morning. I told her our price point, and asked that it be delivered Friday. After some searching I found Kathy's address and phone number, and told Pierrette to use her artistic judgement as to the flowers and design. Tonight our couples book group met via Zoom. Kathy had the floral arrangement behind her so we could see it and it was indeed gorgeous. She was pleased w/ it and so were we. She took a photo of it and sent it to me at my request and I've posted it here so you can see it too. The process of ordering it was so smooth and easy. I would certainly use Petals and Stems again. read more

I needed a corsage and boutonniere for my son's prom. Not ever needing to purchase these items before, I was a little anxious as to who could get the order right. Glad I chose Stems and Petals. Kind and professional! read more

I'm so happy that I went with Pierrette for our wedding flowers. My friend recommended Stems and Petals to me while my venue recommended another vendor. Pierrette was very friendly and responsive in person, on the phone and through email. Her rates are very reasonable and she accepts credit card. She didn't require a minimum order amount. I also saw her work in person at a wedding fair and her flowers were beautiful in person; she doesn't have a lot of photos of her work online. She was willing to accommodate our limited budget without belittling us, and she was also willing to accommodate my desire to use succulents from my mom's garden in my bouquet which also saved on costs and looked beautiful. I could tell her what I would like to spend and she'd come up with creative ways to meet my budget. I believe she also only takes one wedding a day or weekend so she's dedicated to your job. I spoke with other vendors who were only willing to accommodate our limited budget because they had another bride with a larger budget the same day, but that bride's work and schedule took priority over ours. Pierrette also belongs to a co-op of other wedding vendors so she can also rent props for you. She has accumulated a lot of props of her own too in all her years in the wedding vendor business so she can provide props for a reasonable fee for her floral clients, or for free for couples that hire her for wedding coordination too. Her fee for day-of wedding coordination was reasonable as well. If I didn't already have a coordinator, I would've hired her too for day-of wedding coordination. She is super organized and has a detailed event order form that even specifies what everyone is wearing and how the florals will match their outfits. I liked having everything organized in one form. On our wedding day I delighted to see Pierrette arrive with my bouquet that included all the colors and flowers I specified plus my mom's succulents; it was even more beautiful than I imagined. She took care to get the specific ribbon colors that I wanted without charging me extra for them. I loved my bouquet and the flowers for the sweetheart table. After dropping off the flowers to our ceremony venue she went to the reception venue to set up the sweetheart table and helped my wedding coordinator set up other items too. Everything looked beautiful in person and looked like I spent a lot more than I did. The only minor issue was the best man's rose in the boutonnière broke off the stem when we were taking photos early in the day, but our photographer was able to pin the boutonnière back together. Overall I was extremely happy with all of Pierrette's florals and service. read more

This review is a bit late but I had to post as I still can't stop admiring the flowers in my wedding photos! I am beyond happy with choosing Pierrette to do the floral for my wedding last year. I had no idea where to begin when it came to flowers and bouquets, all I had were a few photos of what I liked. Pierette listened to everything I said and was able to put my vision to life! She stayed within my budget and made such great recommendations. Then on my wedding day, she delivered beyond expectations! Pierrette is truly passionate about her work and it really shows. Once again I am so pleased with Pierrette of Stems and Petals. She recently provided the flowers for a celebration of life in our family as well as corsages and boutonnières over the years. For these beautiful creations she listens to needs so well and easily clarifies wishes so that our family received just what we wished for as well as a second version in flower combinations to choose from if we needed to consider a budget constraint. On the day that she brought the flowers to us they were breathtaking when we saw the gorgeous creations come to life. I'm also impressed with the longevity of the flowers. You will be in good hands if you choose Stems and Petals for your floral needs. read more

Amazing!!! My daughter found out at the last minute that her prom date did not purchase her a corsage. We were in Hercules getting her makeup done and I needed to find a florist ASAP!!! Pierette was awesome!!! She heard my cry and she came to the rescue. Thank you so much for your quick response. You did an amazing job and the kids looked great. Check her out and give her a try. I'll be back for graduation corsage. Thanks again. read more

Pierrette was exceptional to work with. After meeting her at a wedding fair, we engaged her to work with us for both day-of wedding coordination and for the flowers for our day. Day of coordination: Pierrette was organized, asked great questions leading up to the day, and the day of was a wizard! She kept us all on track, worked seamlessly with the venue and my other vendors. My family has commented several times what a great addition she was to our day! My husband and I felt 100% comfortable leaving the day-of details to her - she did not disappoint in any way. As far as I know, not one thing went wrong on the wedding day (and if it did - Pierrette handled it discreetly). Flowers: The floral arrangements were beautiful. We worked together on a design for the centerpieces. I wanted to be sure that guests around the table could see each other and visit easily, but still have a "big" enough presence of a piece for large 12-top tables - and loved the result. The bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful, and exactly what we talked about, as well as the arrangements for where the wedding took place. I enjoyed working with Pierrette, and highly recommend her for both her floral work and her coordination offerings. read more

Pierrette and her crew were awesome. They recently did the flowers and planning for my daughter's wedding. In the planning stage, she was super responsive, returning e-mails at all hours and coming up with great suggestion after great suggestion. On the day of the wedding, they were "on it" from well before the start time until the cleanup was practically done. The flowers were beautiful, affordable, and exactly what my daughter had hoped for. She coordinated the other vendors as needed, and everyone was able to relax knowing that Pierrette was on the job. I used Stems and Petals for my wedding in August 2008. Stems and Petals was a Faculty Club recommended vendor. I had contacted many florists but few would work with the budget I had. Pierrette not only worked with me, but she gave me a range of prices and options for the bouquets and arrangements so I could decide if I wanted to go high-end or low-end or somewhere in-between. Having done a lot of events on the Berkeley campus, she was quite sure on how to pull off the blue and gold theme we were looking for. The pictures of her past work were gorgeous and her flower ideas for my wedding sounded so beautiful, I hired her shortly after meeting her. Also, included in her price was a free tossing bouquet, an extra groom boutonniere and free use of her two vases and stands for the ceremony. I thought our flowers turned out gorgeous. I loved my bouquets. The flower girl bouquets she made were the cutest things! She delivered our personal flowers at my house right on time and the ceremony flowers were set-up well before I arrived. Another big factor in hiring her was that she was located the next town over from my parents in Pinole. Her house was a little over 10 minutes away so it made returning the vases and stands a snap! I love local vendors. Her bouquets are still sitting in my house looking almost as fresh as the day they arrived - four days later! read more

A long overdue review for Pierrette at Stems and Petals in Pinole. Pierrette is super artistic, understanding and professional, full of creative ideas, and very helpful when it comes to all the budget and design questions that seem to revolve around wedding flowers. Her email follow-up throughout the whole process was great, and she was easy to talk to and full of suggestions and examples when my mom and I met her in person. She took the foggy ideas for a fall wedding of corals, greens and browns and made some of the most beautiful and long-lasting arrangements and bouquets I've ever seen -- full of great ideas that were beautiful and unique without being just being different for different's sake. When it turned out we couldn't work out one of the plans that we originally discussed, she came up with a way to make the same idea work on a smaller scale, and she offered three different centerpiece ideas on the same theme at different price points to work with us on the budget side of things. She even worked in a way to use pumpkins in the fall without giving things a hoe-down sort of feel. When the big day came she was super organized and thought of all the little details (like ribbon and extra boutonniers for the guys) and gave us plenty of time to get the rented items back to her. One of my bridesmaids kept her bouquet and it still looks great dried six months later! I highly recommend Pierrette's work for any event. :) read more

Pierrette did all the floral arrangements for my wedding. She's super accommodating and can truly work wonders with any budget. She did such a great job at my wedding that my sister hired her for her wedding. My wedding bouquet was beautiful and the one she made for me at my sister's wedding was even more stunning!!! I was a little jealous that my matron of honor bouquet was prettier than my wedding bouquet. But that just shows how talented Pierrette is. She's really artistic and unique. Fast & friendly. Helped out with just a few days notice. Beautiful product reasonable priced.

Stems and Petals was responsible for making my wedding in October 2005 look magnificent. Let me start off by saying that I was a very hands on bride-- Not exactly a "bridezilla"-- but I just wanted it the way I wanted it. :) During the initial consultation, Pierrette took the extra time to find out which flowers had special significance to me and she made intelligent suggestions about flowers that were in season and those that would complement the location of the wedding, which was on Mare Island. She created beautiful bouquets tastefully delivered in a woven basket. The autumn-inspired table arrangements incorporated around the towering hurricane candle lanterns made the tables look so elegant at our outdoor evening reception. One of my favorite elements were the gorgeous eucalyptus pew wreaths that reflected the eucalyptus in the grove outside the chapel. I have used her business several times since my wedding. I don't see any reason to order flowers from over-priced, over-advertised copy cat floral providers. Pierrette gets it done beautifully, efficiently and affordably. read more

Pierrette is an amazing florist and such a good friend! She did the flowers for my wedding on 7/2/2016 and they were perfect! I had my first consultation with her about a year before my wedding. Initially, I had really wanted to have a bunch of blush peonies for my flowers, but after finding out how ridiculously expensive peonies are, Pierrette helped me to make substitutions that would get me the look I wanted but for a more reasonable price. She also helped me to come up with good ways to save money, by reusing my ceremony flowers for the reception. She decorated our arch with a garland and a bunch of bouquets. Honestly, these flowers were perfect and complimented my romantic/rustic themed wedding so well. Highly recommend Pierrette for your wedding! She also does wedding planning and is always so on top of things. Seriously, you are in great hands! read more

I would not hesitate to recommend Stems and Petals. Pierrette is a very talented and professional florist. On short notice, she was able to meet with me and plan the flowers for my wedding at the end of June. She took the time to understand my vision and then ran with it - showing me examples and flower varieties that would compliment my ideas and budget. I appreciated how organized and knowledgeable she was. All of my e-mails were promptly responded to and her contract was clear and concise. In addition, her prices were very reasonable. Most importantly though, the flowers were GORGEOUS! She artfully mixed the most lusciously beautiful flowers and greenery - I could not have been happier with the end result. I wish they could have lasted forever! Thank you, Pierrette! read more

Pierrette did the flowers for my wedding last month and she did an amazing job! My husband and I were initially hesitant to spend money on flowers at all but Pierrette was very understanding of our budget and had helpful suggestions to give us what we wanted for a price we could afford. She offered several different types of flowers for the centerpieces and let us choose based on the style and price we were comfortable with. For my bouquet, I wanted white peonies with purple accents and she made an arrangement better than I imagined. Although, she did have to substitute some roses for peonies because they weren't quite in season--not her fault though. Overall, I was very happy with my bouquet and centerpieces and would recommend her to anyone in the area. read more

Her vast knowledge of flowers, design and color palette are extraordinary. I had some very specific requests and she pulled them off flawlessly. She definitely goes the extra mile for her customers. Pierrette was our wedding florist and she truly was phenomenal throughout the planning process and up to and through the day! We were so happy with her relaxed demeanor! And her ideas were fantastic and right on budget! I never felt like she would try to talk us into something outside of our budget! She is just terrific! And when the bouquets arrived at my room I was so happy with them! Then I saw the flower girl's pomanders, the flowers hanging on the chairs, the petals lining the aisle and the arrangements at the end of the aisle and I was over the moon! Everything was beautiful!
