Pulled an all nighter, trucked in, experienced one of the better designed showers on the road and decided to sit at the kitchen restaurant. Holy smokes! Reminds me of Knottsberry Farm Broast Chicken from back in the days when we'd host our Varsity Southern California CIF post season banquet and of all the choices ..BJs...California Pizza Kitchen...etc...they decided Knotts..but the chicken was excellent! And I would pass up Church's Chicken for the fried chicken here at the truck stop. Mash potatoes, Baja chicken soup, baby back ribs, Meatball marinara ... Well executed***make Shamrock and Sysco proud! However the beef on the pot roast tasted like it was drenched in baking soda and experienced velveting overdose. Overall service was excellent. And I noticed this was next-door so while I was waiting to get my test done, I looked on their website and it said butter brickle ice cream. So naturally, I had to go in.
